Port Hotel in Baku

We stayed for one night (we were passing through Baku). It was fairly clean. There was hot water. The shower leaked under the door (the bathroom floor got wet). But for one night, it wasn't a big deal.

The room was nice. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. The location was excellent.

Great location, right in the middle of the tourist area. Walkable distance to the promenade.

After traveling in Italy for 23 days, I stopped over in Baku for one day. It was my first time to set foot on the land of Azerbaijan. My good impression of Azerbaijan was ruined by this hotel, which made me feel bad in the morning. The boss's attitude was very bad. If you check in at 2 o'clock, you must arrive at the hotel at 2 o'clock, not even a minute earlier. This was the first time in more than ten years of travel that I encountered a situation where you cannot sit in the public area at the front desk for more than 30 minutes before checking in. The boss meant that I only bought the right to use the hotel from 2 o'clock to check out the next day. He said that they are a small hotel and this is their rule. Locals and guests from other countries can check in earlier. Although his attitude improved after the argument, maybe he was afraid that I would give a bad review, but I still wrote it down realistically. If you don't want to have a bad time, choose this hotel carefully. I will go to Azerbaijan again but I will not stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located, less than 500 meters from the Caspian Sea and less than 800 meters from the Maiden Tower, which borders Baku's Old Town. The Flame Towers are just 2.6 kilometers away, and the Heydar Aliyev Art Center is 4.8 kilometers away, making it very convenient.

Although there were some communication issues with the hotel regarding airport pickup, the hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area, making it a great choice.

The hotel is near the pedestrian street in the center of Baku. The surrounding is very lively. It is about a 10-minute walk from the Maiden Tower and the Old Town, and about a 20-minute walk from the cable car station. The breakfast is normal, the front desk staff are enthusiastic, and English communication is barrier-free.

Found it to be a 1 star hotel on Google Maps. The location is great. But the carpet is old. Sound insulation is not good. Stayed for two nights. Don't stay on the 2nd floor, music is played downstairs at night. It won't stop until 11 o'clock. The breakfast lady was very nice. On the first day, I arrived early, and the guy at the front desk asked me if I had paid to check in early. I just kept my luggage and came to check in in the afternoon. There are many hotels nearby. This place is overall OK. The advantage is that there is a lot of space. Don’t expect too much for the price of around 200 yuan.
