In a cold city like Baku, both the heater/AC was broken, and the TV wasn't working. The room cleaning was just for show; the inside of the refrigerator was full of disgusting yellow stains. If we had only booked one room, we wouldn't have even been able to perform basic personal hygiene. This isn't a hotel; it's more like an unkempt building with beds inside. Don't waste your money on this place where no one tries to help, and even basic services (water, heating, TV) are not provided.
My main issue was with the air conditioning; it was too cold and couldn't be adjusted to warm the room, so I was cold all night. The blanket was very thin, just a single sheet. Another drawback was the three-pin power sockets, which meant I couldn't charge my phone.
However, the location on Nizami Street is very strategic. Breakfast was offered, with a good variety of tasty options. Despite the shortcomings, the staff were wonderful. Heartfelt service truly makes a difference. The female chef was exceptionally kind, and the receptionist spoke excellent English and promptly met my requests. The bellboy was also incredibly helpful, especially when the elevator stopped working, as he quickly assisted me with my luggage.
The staff was polite and helpful throughout my stay, and the check-in process was smooth. The room was comfortable and clean, suitable for a short stay.
However, one thing to note is that basic toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided, which would have been a nice addition.
Overall, it’s a good hotel considering the price and location. I would recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient place to stay in Baku.
