SKY Hotel Prague in Prague

The hotel is surrounded by a metal fence, and there's no front desk. You need to check in online beforehand, and they'll send an email with:
1. Your check-in time
2. The password for the hotel's gate
3. Your room access code

I arrived by taxi from the airport just after 2 PM. Since there's no front desk and check-in is stated as after 4 PM, I literally couldn't get in. I had to sit and wait like a fool at a small table with high stools in the lobby (a reminder for travelers to always pay attention to check-in times!).

The room itself was very basic – just white-painted walls. To the left of the entrance was a long desk, with two bottles of water, disposable cups, and sachets of instant coffee with stirrers in the corner. No tissues.

About four or five steps into the room, you could see a simple 60cm wide basin, and opposite it was the shower. Further in was the toilet.

Opening the window in the bathroom, there was a large bed, and outside were two football fields where kids were training until 8-9 PM.

I woke up at 3 AM with a sore back. I had to use another duvet to pad under myself.

Overall, it was a bit rudimentary. I feel my choice of this hotel (to make it easier for my Czech colleague to pick me up for another city and avoid traffic) was a bit hasty. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location of the hotel is a bit remote. The good thing is that there are no messy taxes and fees. The bad thing is that there is no Internet in the room. The buffet breakfast is free. There are very few guests staying in the hotel. There are only two of us on the same floor... It is not as good as the photos on the website. There’s a lot of dust…
