Mangrove Bay Resort in El Quseir

It's a wonderful place with excellent service, and I will definitely be back again soon.

Pros:
1. I liked that there weren't many people there, a maximum of 10. The room was right next to the beach, so there were no strangers. There were plenty of sun loungers, so you didn't have to worry about finding a spot. There were two beaches and a pier for swimming. It was a great spot for snorkeling and diving. It was very easy to swim, and we saw a lot of fish, as the hotel management keeps the area safe from fishermen.

2. The food was okay, but I didn't feel satisfied or like I was enjoying the meal. Drinks included: cola, sprite, and water. The waiters were polite and friendly.

3. A very beautiful place to relax and unwind.

4. I celebrated my birthday during my stay at the hotel. I was congratulated during dinner, given a cake, and the towels in the room were beautifully arranged in the shape of a swan.

Cons:
1. The cleaning staff doesn't do their job. They're only willing to do it if you tip them. The bathroom is never cleaned. The shower is dirty, and there's plastic left from a razor blade from other guests. They didn't change the towels for three days, nor did they supply shampoo, soap, or toilet paper. We had to beg reception for two days just to get what we needed. Especially after the excursion, we were tired, but couldn't shower because there was no soap.

When I called, reception answered the phone, which turned out to be because the phone number on the nightstand in the room was incorrect.

2. The beach is poorly maintained. They don't wash the sun loungers; they could at least paint the umbrellas for decency's sake.

The hotel is in a very quiet and idyllic location. The food and the reception are very natural. The hotel owner is exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The hotel has one of the most beautiful house reefs.

Title: Perfectly organized dives – friendly team! In September, I was at the Diamond Resort in El Quseir and did my dives at the Infinity Dive Center in Mangrove Bay. Even though I didn't have a buddy, everything was superbly organized – a big thank you to Hossny! Normally, with over 25 dives, I don't need a guide, but here I felt completely comfortable and safe. The pickup from the hotel to the dive center and back worked seamlessly every time and was included in the price – top-notch service! The entire team is very friendly, attentive, and truly cares about each diver. You can feel that they put their heart and soul into their work. I felt very well looked after and can wholeheartedly recommend the Infinity Dive Center. I will definitely be back! Johann

Having come primarily for snorkeling, I particularly appreciated being able to do so from the south beach and the jetty for long periods without restrictions, unlike what is often the case at other Red Sea hotels. The bay is well sheltered from the wind and is probably one of the best spots in the region, as evidenced by the dive boats that stop there and the number of divers from outside the hotel who use the dive center, which is very well managed by a German diver and her Egyptian colleagues. The hotel, of a manageable size, has a large, competent, and friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style, varied, healthy, and include plenty of fruits and vegetables. Lunch can be enjoyed as snacks (fries, hamburgers, spaghetti, tuna salad) overlooking the sea at the dive center, in a well-shaded and breezy spot. The comfortable rooms are well air-conditioned and equipped with a safe, a small refrigerator, a television, comfortable beds, a table, and ample storage. The garden, made possible by irrigation, is well-maintained. In short, excellent value for money for snorkeling and/or diving enthusiasts. My main surprise was the very low number of guests at the end of August and beginning of September. The Wi-Fi works well in the reception area. Due to its instability in the bungalows—which must be common in hotels in the region—I recommend buying a SIM card at the airport or elsewhere, as I did, if you want internet access.

A paradise - we'll be back! We had a wonderful stay at this paradisiacal resort in June 2025. The complex is stunning. It boasts a huge reef, which, thanks to its bay location, is accessible to snorkelers, divers, and swimmers even in strong winds. Beneath the water's surface, you'll find manta rays and eagle rays, in addition to stunning corals! A breathtaking underwater world from the perspective of a diver/snorkeler with extensive experience in various locations in the Red Sea. The rooms were modern and functional, the food varied and high-quality. The staff—including the dive school at the resort—were so welcoming that it was truly difficult to say goodbye. 5 out of 5 stars!

We spent a very short week from June 28 to July 6 in this small hotel with a very discreet charm which stands out from many establishments frequented for 15 years in the region of MARSA ALAM and EL QUSEIR. Here nothing superfluous, a single swimming pool, a children's playground, a billiards/ping pong room, a small beauty/massage salon and a new diving club very serious to the point that we took advantage of the privileged conditions of this period of beginning of summer holidays to complete our diving training. No canvassing on the site, no animation team, calm reigns in a natural setting which we never tire of with its two very beautiful beaches, a beautiful reef accessible for diving and snorkeling in a bay protected from the wind! All rooms are on the ground floor and all interiors have been almost completely renovated and refurbished. The staff, mostly local, and their manager are very welcoming, discreet but attentive when you ask for help. We thank them all again, without exception. We recommend this establishment without hesitation to respectful and responsible tourists who are not looking for the amenities of large establishments in the bustling seaside resorts of the towns further north. We will return as soon as possible.

I went to the Mangrove Bay Resort for a diving holiday and was absolutely thrilled. I've been going to Egypt for about 15 years and therefore have a lot of experience. The manager asked me if everything was okay or if there was anything he could improve. That's when we started talking. There's a completely new management team who want to improve the hotel in every way. The old management couldn't be satisfied with the situation. This is partly reflected in the older reviews. I don't even know where to begin. What's striking is that all the employees here are incredibly passionate about what they do. You can really tell that everyone is keen to get the hotel back on track. Since there were only a few guests during my holiday, a buffet didn't make sense. So, every day, I was cooked for with attention to detail. Completely according to my wishes: sometimes authentic local food, sometimes steak, sometimes something light. After the meal, the chef personally came to the table to ask me how it tasted. It was truly emotional. The beaches and the underwater world are probably the most beautiful in Egypt. Like a photo wallpaper. The staff at the Infinity Diving Safari dive center are super friendly, even if you're not a diving customer, just walking across the jetty to snorkel. Very kind. I really enjoyed the fact that approaching customers is prohibited throughout the entire resort. So, no one came by to try to sell me a massage, quad safari, or photo session, as is the case everywhere in Egypt. At the Mangrove Bay Resort, I had a fantastic bungalow right on the beach, with the best air conditioning you could have in a hotel: In the larger hotels, the control panel only has three speeds. At the Mangrove Bay Resort, there's a remote control and features like whisper mode for nighttime, a timer, etc. Really great. It's worth noting that this is a hotel exclusively for people who want to relax in peace and quiet, or for people who want to go diving or snorkeling. For example, there's no entertainment for children at all. A CLEAR RECOMMENDATION: I've already booked my next vacation for three months. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

The room was clean and beautifully furnished. The view of the beach was wonderful. The turquoise sea on the beach with its palm trees was unbeatable. Everyone took amazing care of me, and the chef was very concerned about my well-being and attended to my every need. It was a relaxing vacation, and I would also recommend the Infinity Diving center. I've organized trips with them several times, and they are the place to be in Egypt! Professional and German-speaking.
