I stayed at the Marriott Hurghada as a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member and I have to say the hotel falls well below the standards you would expect from a property that calls itself five star. The building is old, worn out and in serious need of modernisation. The rooms are dated and the air conditioning is so loud it feels like a jet engine in the corner of the room. Sleeping or even holding a conversation is difficult.

The food offering is very poor. Breakfast is weak, the dinner buffet is no better and the room service menu feels like an afterthought. None of it reflects the usual Marriott quality.

What saves this place are the staff. They are exceptional. Every single person we met was kind, helpful and doing their best with what they have. They are the only reason the stay was tolerable.

This could be a great hotel with investment and a complete refresh, but as it stands it is nowhere near a true five star Marriott experience.

This is the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at. I booked the Apollo Suite, but the room was completely empty, even the mini bar was empty, and there were no welcome fruits. In our Egypt trip, every hotel we stayed at (Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, and Marsa Alam ) would refresh the fruit daily. This hotel, however, was just an empty shell of a room with nothing in it.

We have been in this hotel with 8 friends for 3 nights, and was very impressed by the professional manner of the service people, and the great looking of the hotel, inside and outside. Some examples are: we arrived with uber and the driver charged more than the agreed price. When we go out, we ask the hotel for a ride, they provided cars with reasonable prices, dropped us at exact locations, and the drivers did not take a tip (guess a policy). The day we supposed to check out, because of the late flight, we asked the front desk if we can check out late (3pm instead of 11am), they happily helped us and reprogrammed our room cards (something impossible for most us and european countries). We ended up extened the check-out time one more time (to 4pm) and they happily helped! That last day we had visited Hurghada downtown and had lunch at one of our favorite seafood restaurant (we have been there twice in our short stay) and got back to hotel after 3pm. We are very thankful that the hotel staff made out stay a real vacation, treated us like themselves liking to be treated. I would highly recommend this hotel even it is about 2+ km from the city center.

This booking offered excellent value for money. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, they are generally very well-maintained. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly; on the day of check-in, the front desk attendant personally escorted us to our room. Because I was exhausted from diving the day before, I requested a late check-out, and after checking availability, the staff readily agreed.

We spent a wonderful time together with my husband and this was not our first stay at this hotel.
The staff is truly friendly, attentive, and always welcoming. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of options.
Our room and the view left a very special impression and made our stay unforgettable.
This is one of the very first hotels in Hurghada, and even today it can confidently be considered one of the best.

Great view, activities and highly recommend the full board package. Our room was huge and had a balcony to relax on. The enthusiastic staff tend to bombard you with requests for feedback while you're trying to relax. They're very eager.

Decent buffet spread for all meals too. All meals are served in the same restaurant so be prepared to face off with all the guests during feeding times.

We had a small issue with the shower which was fixed immediately, well done team. Good news - Theyre refurbishing and building a new wing! The current one is a bit dated but you can look forward to the post renovation!

There are many German and Russian tourists and staff seem multilingual.

Buffet cost 20$ but doesn’t include water, the matress is very soft not comfortable at all, waiter constantly ask you if you have paid or not, don’t try the italian restaurant it’s really not worth it

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The overall appearance of the property is immaculate, and while the rooms were spotlessly clean, they were slightly dated in style. That said, this was a minor point in an otherwise excellent visit.

The staff were outstanding throughout — friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. We arrived very late due to delayed flights, but even in the early hours, the team was welcoming and attentive, which really made a difference.

The food was good overall, although the cocktails didn’t quite hit the mark. The real highlight was the breakfast — easily one of the most impressive hotel buffets I’ve come across. There was a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options that catered to all tastes.

The only downside was the parking, which is located up a fairly steep hill. This made it a little awkward with suitcases, though it’s worth noting that the parking area was secure.

All in all, a great stay — I’d happily return.
