My husband and I had a good time at the Pepper Sea Club. The service from all the staff was Outstanding. They were Friendly, attentive and Accommodating. The room was spotless and had all the amenities that was needed. The Food was to die for, they catered for everyone's need a wide variety to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. The highlights of our stay really were Tina's yoga lessons and Petros' fitness courses. We also enjoyed a high quality massage. We went for a quiet holiday, choosing this adults only hotel as it was situated by the beach on what seemed (and was) a quiet spot on this south coast of Crete. We thought that from every perspective, this hotel provided an excellent service, in a quite remote location, and that the staff team made every effort, all of the time, for our comfort. If TA allowed 2 separate reviews I would do a 1 star review for management and a 5 star review for hotel and staff. Here’s why…. The 5 star bit…. The hotel is beautiful - set on a lovely stony beach. There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds and lots of places to sit and have a drink or just relax. Beautiful adult only resort with 2 swimming pools. And beach access. The rooms are very nice with a spacious patio. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is decent but is mostly buffet only unless you choice to eat at the upscale restaurant. Which you need to turn in your selections the night before Ierapetra is a $10 euro cab ride with many wonderful restaurants.

On arrival we were shown to our room which was not the sea front suite that we had paid for!! On complaining we were told that it would be ready the next day which of course was totally unacceptable. We had to insist on speaking to the Manager who was hiding in his office behind reception and would have heard our conversation with the receptionist. Where do I start. We arrived early hours of the morning. It was our honeymoon and when we got to the room they had decorated the door with a bow champagne and a love heart cake which was lovely. Lovely hotel, really well positioned for the beach and tavernas. Breakfast good choice. The only two things that let it down, was the view from the balcony of somebodies big knickers on a washing line everyday and the fact that maid left the clean sheets on the top of the bed for us to make up ourselves! Hotel Fragiskos is the biggest hotel in Matala village. But isn’t the most modern. It is located on good place. Its services are perfect. It has air condition, parking, bar, hall, dining hall with allinclusive. Only a hotel’s walls are weak and every voices and echoes are hear.

I really liked it, we had a front sea view room and it was good. Has a pool but I didn't go in as the beach is right next to it. I would highly recommend staying at Castello if you visit Crete. I came from India and stayed here for a week. Very helpful staff (especially Harry and Eva, who helped me with getting settled here) and friendly vibe. Clean rooms and balcony with magnificent view. Close to city center as well.

I’m not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews, and I’m pretty picky about cleanliness and comfortability. Positives: clean room, somewhat modernly furnished, very kind service. The front desk offered to have breakfast made for me since I would be leaving early before breakfast opened. Though they do not have an airport shuttle, you can charter a taxi by asking the front desk to call one...

The hotel is on the good location, bus station and old city are close. Hotels parking is about 400m far away. We had a huge terrace but without chairs and table practically we couldn’t use it, and after asking 4 times we got one plastic chair. Breakfast was served on the 5th floor with great views. Had dinner both nights at the restaurant and can’t fault the food, my chef partner loved everything on the menu. Staff were so attentive and lovely. Beautiful hotel, right in the city center. I had a suite, but unfortunately, the room’s hygiene was disappointing. The air conditioning blew out strange dust clouds — it turned out to be extremely dirty (see photo). In addition, the shower seals were full of mold, so I didn’t shower. Stayed at Cook’s Club and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. All the staff were extremely friendly and lovely to talk too. Check in was simple, you downloaded the cooks club app and checked in, it showed you what events were on and which days etc. You got a 22 euros credit to spend per person which I found was very handy especially with going Half Board. We had a lovely relaxing week here as a family of 4 with 2 adult children. We had intended to use the sofa bed in the lounge but they had put an extra bed in the single room for us. It was a bit of a squeeze but they only used the room for sleeping. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our villa pool as it wasn’t filtering but they were quick to resolve the problem...

Thoroughly enjoyed a week here in mid-October. Great food options and some fun on-site activities. Pools were chilly, but it was near the end of the season so not surprising and because it is not a winter resort I don't expect outdoor pools to be heated. Very nice hotel, good location and an excellent coffee wirh the breakfast! The only downside is that the room doors did not have soft closers and a lot of the guests sadly slammed them so it was had to sleep past 7.30am.

Kriti hotel and staff service was exceptional! We hosted a small group for a week at the property and everything was so smooth. We stayed here last year and when we needed another night in Chania before joining a trip it was the obvious place to come. As before, we were made very welcome at Reception as we arrived even later than we had said. The room and breakfast were as good as we remembered.
