Great 3 night stay!
Our family of 4 really enjoyed our 3 day stay at the apartment. Great central location, well equipped, comfy beds. Check in and out was very easy. Highly recommend.
I previously stayed in their two-bedroom unit, and overall it was a great experience. Both the living room and bedrooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The location is also excellent
Parking slightly limited (4-6 spots) but we parked on the rocks in the back. I liked how they had digital keypads for the lock. We used the kitchen everything worked great
There were just two minor issues:
1. Since the unit was on the ground floor, you could occasionally hear people walking by outside. Not a big deal, but something to note
Great studio
Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed and cotton sheets. Parking is a plus.
One morning, the power outlet in one of the bedrooms stopped working

Convenient location with free parking. It's a short walk to the city center and great for chasing the Northern Lights by the sea. Breakfast was just okay. The hygiene was good.
Great location, very clean hotel, and you can even see the cathedral from your room. It's within walking distance to Rainbow Street, the Phallus Museum, the Concert Hall, and Little Elephant Supermarket
Room (good stuff): Comfy beds & pillows; clean; great WiFi; plenty of towels; two chairs and a desk in room; many outlets; windows open (a bit); serviced the room to provide fresh towels and made the bed; black-out curtains; large room and bathroom; extra luggage rack provided upon request; TV; many lights in room including overhead light; hot pot
Breakfast: 7-9:30am; good buffet with many choices...
I didn't have high hopes for this hotel, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise!
The location is fantastic; the church is right outside the door, and I was so excited to be staying so close to it when I first arrived
However, rooms facing the church also face the cemetery behind it. Of course, this is quite common abroad. Just tell yourself it's good for promotion and wealth. The hot spring water has a sulfur smell
There's free parking available at the entrance, but it's first-come, first-served. I stayed for two nights, and even though the bathrooms are shared, everyone kept them very clean
Nice home in a centralized location for bus stops and restaurants. Close to most city sightseeing hot spots
We took a food tour that met at the concert hall which was about a 15 minute walk. The famous church is maybe a 5 minute walk. If you stay here you will utilize bus stop 9 for all of your tour pick ups/drop offs
Having your own mini kitchen and fridge really helps too allowing you to take home leftovers or buy something from the grocery store to cook one night to avoid paying the pricey cost of dining out in Iceland
The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we needed any assistance or had questions while we were in town. If we ever make it back to Iceland we will definitely stay here again
Very thoughtfully designed studio style apartment with helpful touches fit cleverly into a small space like quality kitchen tools, a closet, a tea kettle, soap for the laundry room downstairs
46Heima is a fabulous place to stay in Reykjavik. For us it felt like home away from home. For the same price as a nice hotel room you get a place that feels all you own
Reykjavik, Katrinartun 2, Laugardalur, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
There is no room service but there are at least 6 restaurants within a 1 block radius of a very safe area. There is also a central meeting area on the 9th floor with soda, alcohol, milk, coffee, light snacks, etc
Wonderful place to stay! We were able to check in earlier which was great since our flight landed very early in the morning. The views were spectacular and the room was very clean and quiet space
Suite is huge and the king bed was extremely comfortable with fine linens. Bathroom is very modern with separate shower from toilet. Shower was also roomy and water pressure was exceptional
We enjoyed our breakfast in bed too it was delicious pastries and Skyr! Highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again during our next Iceland trip!
Breakfast is served in-room at the time you designate and it is plentiful and delicious. There is a very small parking lot with paid parking during weekdays
I strongly recommend this hotel and will plan to stay here again

Jack at the front is very nice. The room is simple, but very nice people and yes, it was clean. Great price,Great location, and we will share to come back.
Mr. Canada 🇨🇦
(Reception is not allways maned, but it is possible to call them 24/7)
Close to Hlemmur Bus Stops and Food Hall, a 24h market (called 10 -11) is also close by
It was a good experience in Iceland however there’s very less amenities which is only beds toilet in the room and even there’s no microwave in the hotel.
Had a nice stay as always :)
Nice, simple, clean rooms. There is also a kitchen/dining area. Check-in/ check-out is easy and quick
It’s a very good location with decent price. The postcards are the cheapest I can find in the city. You’ll have access to nice food place from there.
Very convenient location just opposite bus stop no.9.

Very pleased with our stay here. Clean, comfortable, delicious homemade bread and variety of breakfast items. Very accommodating to our needs. Thank you for the wonderful start to our Iceland visit.
The rooms were nice, clean, quaint and cosy. The breakfast was homemade and tasted amazing. Overal a great experience, would recommend this to anyone visiting Reykjavik
It is a beautiful historic inn nestled in a quiet neighborhood at a central city location. There are several eating and shopping options around. The rooms are small but comfortable
Very well equipped with kettle , microwave , fridge , Tv ( didn't use ) and WiFi. Large comfortable double bed , single duvets which seen common in Europe ( not so in the UK ). Spacious bathroom with washing machine too
This place really is a treasure. Perfect location in the center of Reykjavík. Beautiful historic architecture and extremely clean. Breakfast in the morning was great… with lots of local treats
Breakfast included , couldn't ask for anything more , fresh home made bread and cakes , meats , fish, hams , fruit , yoghurt, cereal and i'm sure if you had specific dietary needs they would be more than catered for
Reykjavik, Snorrabraut 71, Hlidar, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Great central location and value. You will share a bathroom so make sure you are ok with that. Having a kitchen available was great. Staff was helpful when I needed to speak to them.
Perfect place to spend a night or two as good location and comes with kitchen and laundry facilities. However check in can be a nightmare if your booking platform does not update you with check in instructions
The room trash was not emptied and there was no indication where you could take it yourself. The humidity was quite high. The traffic noise was reasonably loud.
Staff seemed to come in regularly and take out the trash and tiddy up the bathrooms. The couch for the third person to sleep on was awful. There was a lot of mold in the shower and the drain didn’t work well
You had to continually shut the water off during your shower so it didn’t flood the bathroom. Staff was notified and they were able to have maintenance clean the drain the following day
The rooms are clean for a budget hotel but the walls are paper thin. I can hear everytime someone takes a poop and when he goes to the shower or uses the tap
Reykjavik, Tryggvagata 18, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
very clean, modern, close to city centre, well equiped 👍🏼
Spacious with a lovely balcony. Handy location - shops etc, public transport. Tea and coffee (fancy machine) topped up daily. Walking distance to 3 supermarkets. Mini bar stocked with all sorts!
Flat walking
This was an ideal place to stay. It was great to have a full apartment to use during our week in Iceland. The staff was very nice and helped us when we had issues regarding our flight and airport transportation
Apartment was great, as was the location. Only two minor adjustments I would make personally - put felt pads on all the furniture, this will reduce noise for the apartment below
Lift too!
Towels changed daily. Reception staff all friendly, helpful and obliging. My next place does not measure up at all
Second is the shower, place a bracket at an angle for the hand held sprayer so it doesn’t just spray you vertically!
Reykjavik, Ægisgata 26, Vesturbaer (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Very cosy and comfy place in Reykjavik. The kitchen is well equipped and rooms is very comfy. The location is close to the city Center so you can go walking to all the places like the church, rainbow street
the Location if the Guesthouse is absolutly Perfect: just a 5min Walk to the City Center - also the old harbour is just a 2min Drive away
Excellent location, a couple of minutes walk from town. The rooms are clean and have everything that we needed. There's tea, coffee and a little carton of milk
Near city center, has free car park and few minutes walk away provided you can find an available one. Room is clean, 3 toilets with 2 showers, upstairs 1 toilet with shower. Quite a few rooms sharing the amenities
It's warm and cosy, the bathrooms are clean, with underfloor heating. Kitchen is very well equipped. We are having a very enjoyable trip, thank you
But as a homestay, the environment is very good, very close to the city center, parking and shopping are very convenient!
This place made our trip to Iceland perfect. The host is a gentle and introverted man, but you can feel his passion for hospitality in the way he welcomes you. He truly did his best to make us feel at home
The breakfast was a highlight, particularly the pancakes which were amazing. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
The guest house is close to the center, within walking distance. Very comfortable beds, good sleep. A very suitable option for one night. Two toilets and one shower, but since the people is not a lot it is not a problem
Even though the room was small, it was cozy and comfortable. The showroom was a bit old, but other than that, a very good value for money and the breakfast was amazing!!
Thank you very much. We’d love to stay again.
Nice place to stay, friendly owners, good breakfast, wel located not too far from the center and close to the BSI bus station.
Wonderful, helpful, delicious breakfast-comfortable bed- very happy and would stay there again—I lost my key to my suitcase and the host got tools to help me break my lock! Such relief!
Reykjavik, Gunnarsbraut 46, Hlidar, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
You can cook or prepare your own food here. They offer breakfast for 7euros. Coffee and Tea are free all day. The closest grocery store is a bit of a walk, about 10-15mins or 950m far. Also, same for the restaurants
It also has cabinet and table and its own room heater. Toilet and shower is just outside the room. Every floor I think has its own T&B. Second floor has the kitchen and dining area
Hostel was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed, including considerable amount of free food.
Close to the BSI main bus station (airport bus drop off) about 10-15min walk. Self check-in is possible if you arrive late in the evening
You will be given the passcodes for entrance to the building and also to the rooms. You just have to contact them. As for my room, I stayed in a single bed. It has its own sink which is pretty useful for doing skin care
Apart from that the bed was comfy, you have a mini fridge and good wifi connection. You can walk from here to the city center. Parking space just outside the building for free
Very nice guesthouse situated in a quiet area, yet close to central city. Owners contacted us before arrival to instruct about access to our room. When leaving, my daughter forgot her gloves and hat in the room
A really great place to stay whilst staying in Iceland! The staff members were super helpful and attentive, even Fram the dog and JellyBelly the cat! The room was perfect for two of us, the beds were super comfy and room had everything we needed for our 5 nights away! Thank you for a great stay!🌌
We enjoyed your stay at Guesthouse Galtafell. The parking available is free street parking, we went in late February 2026 and had no issue with finding a park close by. Good heating and a large bathroom
The hosts are also very kindhearted and let us keep our luggage there post check out while we went on a day trip. Thorey and her husband go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and special
Contactless check-in went well and was easy. The floor in the bathroom was heated and there was a heated towel rack, which was nice. The room was small with very little space beside the bed
On our first night we had issues with the shower water not draining, we emailed and they had it fixed within hours. Although this wasn't communicated to us which was disappointing
Reykjavik, Skolavordustigur 2, Midborg (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Room was very clean - information provided for check in and out was clear and helpful - location is great location - right in the city centre
Excellent location with the rainbow road right outside, lots of bars and resturants on your door step excellent communication from vladimir when i had to ask questions regarding propery and parking
The apartment was just the right size for 3 of us beds were very comfortable and rooms were lovely and warm we had a great stay
The location of this accommodation was fantastic - so central and close to everywhere, right at the heart of Reykjavík, close to the old harbour and many shops including supermarkets close by
Shower has strong sulfur smell due to geothermal heating of water but that’s fine. Room was clean and kitchen had most things we needed. Could have used a pair of oven mitts for taking things out of the oven safely
Fantastic location, spacious and has everything you need for your trip.
Service provided by Ginta was excellent! Initially we were assigned to a room on the 3rd floor, which would have been impossible for us as there was no elevator and we had two big luggages
It was very warm and g ch comfortable room. We had a breakfast which was variously and tasty. The location was perfect and right in the centre next to the church.
It is centrally located and convenient to tour bus stop no 8. The breakfast is very limited .
Great, basic accommodation. It's a short walk to the centre of town and is close to streets with free/untimed parking. Included breakfast is much appreciated with the cost of food in Iceland. Friendly staff too.
The breakfast food was AMAZING--especially the bread. Everything was very clean and comfortable bed. A shared bathroom among 3 rooms was a little difficult, but that makes the price more affordable.
We also had to leave early by 7:30am the next day for a tour, but breakfast officially only starts at 7:30am. Ginta helped to arrange and ensure we had breakfast before we left
Reykjavik, 46 Tjarnargata, Midborg (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It’s near Hallgrímskirkja, city center, walking distance from Airport and BSI bus station. Room and bathroom had everything that we needed, clean and comfortable. Everything was very clean. It had an outside hot bath!
They have warm rooms all the time. Big comfort kitchen and a lobby with a lovely cat. The location is perfect for short walks to the center. They have always warm coffee for the guests
Located just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Baldursbra guesthouse is ideal for the budget traveller, the rooms a quite big, and the room we had a small sink and mirror for brushing you teeth before bed or doing makeup
Such a cozy spot! Very clean, comfy beds. Host was very quick to respond to email. Loved the shared living space, fast wifi. Kitchen had everything we needed and more! A short walk down town, would definitely recommend.
Guesthouse with self-service check-in and out. Small room (for one person; for more I think they are cool). Strange but exciting experience. I will repeat for sure next time, has an extraordinary charm
Its a neat clean and calm guest house right in the downtown reykjavik and close to the most of the city attractions. Five to seven minutes walk from the main bus terminal BSI.
Reykjavik, Laugavegur 28a, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I was only there for one night and day and would go back instantly
Very cosy place, a bit small, so I would only recommend it if you're planning to only sleep there. Got a nice gift when I entered my room
The location is a bit hidden in between buildings, but you will get a mail with good directions before you are able to check in. Very friendly owner, and she will contact you if needed
The hotel had poor soundproofing and no front desk, so those who don't speak English well should probably think twice before choosing it. The owner was very nice and let me check in early. It's very close to the church
There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply
Our room was 102. King bed. Very clean. Shared bathroom, but not a problem.
Great apartments, spacious and luxurious with lots of complimentary food and drinks. The apartments are in a great location, less than 5 minutes walk from the city center and the main shopping street.
Really a great hotel in the suite type style. Clean, immaculate, and a great central location in Reykjavik. One staff member called back a tour bus after we had accidently missed the departure time
Superb! Comfortable and well equipped. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hugely good value and right in the centre of the city
We absolutely loved our apartment which had a separate double bedroom and twin beds in the living area. Having a sofa, kitchen and dining table was lovely - it felt like being at home
We also had the breakfast basket added and it was fantastic, such a lovely treat every day. Would highly recommended both for couples and especially for families
This is not a 5 star accommodation as in luxury etc. But it by no means deserved a 4 star review , so I had to give it 5. Very very helpful and friendly staff
Reykjavik, Skalholtsstigur 2a, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The apartments themselves are very clean, well equipped and warm! There is underfloor heating in the bathroom and being Iceland, instant hot water!!
The beds are very comfortable, with lovely warm quilts and pillows
Check in is easy, with a key code sent to you just before you arrive and although there isn’t a reception desk you get a number to call if there are any issues and they do answer immediately and are very helpful
Would definitely come back for another stay!!
The ability to leave luggage on-site prior to arrival or at departure was quite appreciated. The reason for our 4 of 5 is the electronic key entry system that constantly troubled us, and no one on site to help us
The apartment is well situated, with a nice view of the Pond. It has lots of litght, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is good and the bed comfortable
Confusing to us was the early instructions about how to engage the system at the storage location and different instructions at the front door
Great location, close enough to the centre to walk in but far enough away it wasn’t noisy. Just across the road from a great pool.
Aside for a bit of problems with the door code, handle and the battery that left me waiting outside for a bit I can not fault anyone. The staff via WhatsApp , phone and the guy that repaired my door were kind and polite
The location is great, close to both the airport bus and the city center. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip back to my favorite island 😃🇮🇸!
Very well telephon supported by Maria when arriving. The apoartment is complet! You find every thing you may need. Wifi works bery good! Very well placed
) it would make it easier to keep the room even cleaner as there is no service available. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would definitely suggest to others. A small microwave would also help
The room was not spotless but nothing to complain about. The room, the area, the view was great! Just a suggestion. if you leave some cleaning products and accessories ( broom, mop, etc
Reykjavik, Snorrabraut 61, Hlidar (in the centre) 🧭 Map
On our first day, we stayed in room 3B (which didn't have a private bathroom or shower; it was shared), and on our second day, we stayed in room 1C (which had a private bathroom and shower, and the kitchen and dining room were right outside the door, very convenient)
The hotel has a spacious kitchen and dining room, fully stocked with bowls, pots, and other utensils, perfect for families who want to cook
(We brought a small multicooker and bought ingredients at Yachao in Reykjavik, then made hot pot in the spacious dining room, which was a fantastic experience
It was large and welcoming for the two of us with outlets readily available by the bedsides for charging. The private shower fluctuated a bit on temp but nothing unreasonable
The location is convenient, within a 10-minute walk of Reykjavik's popular attractions, including the cathedral and the main street. Free parking is available right outside the hotel, perfect for those driving
We really liked the room size and the private bathroom. We were unable to open the front door using the access code provided to us via email, but it worked for the back door
