Reykjavik, Bergstadastraeti 37, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Nice boutique hotel with perfect location. The hotel is getting old but that's not a problem. Everything is wonderfully clean, the breakfast is a dream and the staff is very warm and always friendly
Fantastic hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, full of Icelandic character. The room was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back when we next visit Iceland 🇮🇸
This is an old school hotel full of charm. The room was a bit old but really beautiful. The rooms have physical keys rather than cards to show how old. The location is close to most of the good sights
Great location, close to lots of restaurants and most of the main tourist sights - but on a reasonably quiet road so you feel out of the city centre. Very good service and helpful staff
The room was small, the bedding wasn't very clean, and there were no power outlets by the bed, only USB ports, which was inconvenient
The hotel was in a fantastic location and rooms were really comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend

There is a tourist information shop a couple of minutes up from the hotel on the same side which was a huge help👍🏻 Also, the number 9 bus stop is where you will pick up any trips you’ve booked while staying at the Alda hotel
The showers were amazing, which is a must for me. But overall our stay was made lovely by the staff! The location also is amazing and having a Starbucks on site was great! Thank you!
Nice clean hotel, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, minutes from shops, bars and restaurants but still very quiet. Plenty of bus stops close by too
Excellent location, in the center! Great staffs service. They allowed us to early check in! It has hot tub and sauna and gym, it is small. Parking on street paying in meter
The room was great, deluxe double with balcony. We managed to sit out there every night and see the aurora borealis which was incredible
Great centre of Reykjavik hotel, breakfast is a wide variety and good quality

Great location and wonderful staff. The seafood chowder at the hotel restaurant was the best I've ever had and made me regret ordering two plates instead of one plus an entree.
Pick it for the location - in downtown Reykjavik (beautifully lit with fairy lights during winter) with lots of traditional houses, close to a main bus stop (for tours) and in walking distance of restaurants and the harbour
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Reykjavík Centrum and would definitely give it 5 stars. We stayed in a triple room, which was very comfortable and well organized, offering plenty of space for a great stay
Great location, clean rooms, high quality breakfast foods in good variety. Personally disliked the mattress but slept anyway although I was told the outside at night could be noisy. Towels, meh. Would recommend.
The room was also very warm and cozy, perfect for Iceland’s cold weather. Overall, an excellent hotel with great comfort, cleanliness, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Reykjavik
Everything was spotlessly clean, which made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room had a coffee and tea station, which was a lovely touch, especially after a long day exploring the city

Reykjavik, Hverfisgata 10, Midborg (in the centre) 🧭 Map
My only point here would be that the rooms might need a bit of refreshing (like a new paint for the walls for example). However, wonderful overall stay and delicious breakfast. Would definitely come back ❤️
Convenient location- would definitely stay again/recommend
Great location. Walking distance to the Rainbow Road & the church. However, our room had a pretty bad smell from the sink/bathroom. Pretty noisy at night(til 2am) from the restaurant bar across the hotel.
We found our room to be typical of most European hotels. Minimalist, no storage, and no door on the bathroom
That means when you turn on the light to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it lights up the entire room. Tha room was clean and the bed was comfortable
Great stay Loved the view, room was clean, plenty of towels; loved the products, amenities top notch: robs, slippers, mini bar/drinks, love kit, umbrella; full wall mirrors; pillows great; firm bed

Reykjavik, Laugavegur 41 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location is amazing in the middle of the shopping, dining, supermarkets, bus stops etc. Room is not large but has everything one needs. Loved the kitchenette, access to coffee, towels, and kitchen needs
Room was clean, modern and includes a small dining table. We enjoyed the bar downstairs when it was open. Hope we can afford this place if we ever to Iceland!
Everything was so good! I love the space , was so clean and the food thank you definitely we coming back we had amazing experience.
Everything about this place was great! Loved the room, and the location was perfect. Great place to stay.
The location was just outside of the city center, so if you are with someone with mobility issues, it could be too far for them to walk around
The hotel is in a convenient location close to the city center. Service is fine and generally meets basic expectations. The room is clean and comfortable

The room was very comfortable, and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is perfect for those who want to be right downtown on the main strip of Reykjavik stores, bars, and restaurants!!
Amazing staff & hospitality. Can’t say enough how the front desk went above and beyond for my wife and I. 10/10 and would def recommend a stay here.
the only thing we didn't like was the difficulty in finding a parking spot that wasn't too far away for toting our luggage. As it was, the closest we could get was a good 5-6 minutes walk dragging luggage behind us
The restaurants nearby were excellent. The hotel is on a pedestrian only street. Difficult to get to as it requires a 10 minute walk with suitcases bouncing on a cobblestone street.
Otherwise, it was a GREAT choice! Loved SUMAC - the attached restaurant. It was also wonderful being a couple does down from the SANDHOLT bakery
The hotel has a strong Icelandic design, and the amenities and mini bar are full of local Icelandic characteristics. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic

Advertising was good :)
The location is good as it is a drop off and pick up point for Fly Bus. Self check-in and if any problem have to use the phone at the lobby to call the customer service. The breakfast spread is limited
The Alva Hotel is a fantastic choice for a comfortable and convenient stay. This cozy hotel offers seamless self-service check-in, a highlight that works flawlessly
Guests can also enjoy a good breakfast if it's included in their package. Overall, the Alva Hotel delivers a smooth, enjoyable, and hassle-free experience, making it a highly recommendable stay
Should you need any assistance, their contact center is exceptionally responsive and helpful. The rooms themselves are nice and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat
The room is well-equipped and in a good location, close to the city center. Free parking is available at the door. The overall experience is very good

Hotel Ódinsvé, Reykjavik1 / 23

Reykjavik, Thorsgata 1, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is very close to the church and bus stop 8. The reception is very nice and kind. He helped us to book the bus ticket. The room is not big but clean. And the chocolate is also good.
Love this!!!! It’s awesome, the guys there are kind and passionate.
The on-site restaurant offers delicious meals and is worth a try. However, since Iceland has 20 hours of sunshine in summer and the room's light-shielding effect is slightly insufficient, it may affect sleep quality
Great location! Only a block or so away from rainbow road and about a 5-10 min walk from the church or bus stop 8. Walk to BSI bus terminal is a little bit further (10-15 minutes), but not bad
Hotel Ódinsvé is ideally located in the city center, within easy walking distance of major attractions such as the cathedral, making it very convenient for tourists
The rooms have so many outlets which was greatly appreciated. Very friendly staff and breakfast was good

Reykjavik, Hallarmuli, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Good hotel, quite centrally located, with ample parking right on site. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the seating there was a bit awkward – you sit too low and it's too soft.
The hotel room was clean and spacious, with enough room to open multiple suitcases. It included breakfast and complimentary hot drinks available at all times. There was also a dining area with utensils
The location is a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by bus
Breakfast was very nice and filling, and the kitchen staff were just as kind and helpful as the rest of the team. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service
One thing to note is that housekeeping is done upon request, so you’ll need to ask if you want your room cleaned
Even better, our room was ready, so we were able to check in early. The room itself was clean and comfortable

Last but not least, we want to highlight Leonardo's kindness; he helped us with everything we needed, always with a wonderful portuguese smile ;) Thank you!
The best hotel if you're going to Reykjavik. It was a wonderful experience. A quiet, comfortable, and clean place with a decent breakfast for the price
Currently here with my daughter and she'd like to move in. We are in the west building facing the church. The location is great and there's a free parking lot across the road
Because we came in from Canada our sleep times are way off, but the black out curtains helped a lot. The road noise can be a bit high but it didn't affect us at all
The breakfast is fantastic and there is tea/coffee available 24/7. I enjoyed the lounge and meet several people while sitting. Bussing from Stop 8 can be a little tricky, but the church is beautiful
The bells ring every 15 min or so but they didn't bother my sleeping

Reykjavik Residence Hotel, Reykjavik1 / 17

Reykjavik, Vatnsstígur 2 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Reykjavik.  It is within walking distance  to shops and restaurants.  The transportation service to airport was added benefit.  I highly recommend this hotel
This hotel had the nicest staff I encountered during my trip. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable and cared for
They ran out of the room that we booked, so they gave us a wonderful upgrade. The rooms were wonderful and clean, even the original room we booked was spacious. The living area was huge, especially for European standards
The setup is quite unique too, as the hotel is divided among several different buildings (we were in “Printing Press”) and the reception area also stands independently in its own building
Coffee was complimentary via the Nespresso machine on the counter and they also had cornflakes, orange juice and milk already stocked. The location of our building was very central as well
I enjoyed stepping out onto the small balcony at night to see the warm glow of the evening sun. Since we visited in July, the blackout shades came in handy to block out the midnight sun

They clean the apartments everyday and have 24 hour convenient store nearby ( 10 min walk tops). I really recommend going to the local deli down the street. Reykjavik4you is highly recommended
An okay stay. Pretty stuffy during winter. Too cold outside, quite warm and stuffy inside, no ventilation such as fans. Location is good.
Location, amenities, tidy, spacious, very good apartment, definitely will stay again on my next visit to iceland
I previously stayed in their two-bedroom unit, and overall it was a great experience. Both the living room and bedrooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The location is also excellent
There were just two minor issues: 1. Since the unit was on the ground floor, you could occasionally hear people walking by outside. Not a big deal, but something to note
One morning, the power outlet in one of the bedrooms stopped working

Reykjavik, Katrinartun 2, Laugardalur, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
There is no room service but there are at least 6 restaurants within a 1 block radius of a very safe area. There is also a central meeting area on the 9th floor with soda, alcohol, milk, coffee, light snacks, etc
Suite is huge and the king bed was extremely comfortable with fine linens. Bathroom is very modern with separate shower from toilet. Shower was also roomy and water pressure was exceptional
We had a wonderful stay at Tower our first night in Reykjavik! Room and amenities first class, beautiful view of the city, and of course greeted in the morning with a trolley of delicious breakfast food
personally i love this apartment style instead of hotel. more private n self served. the view is stunning. location is convenient. staff is helpful. to me I love it.
This is not your traditional hotel as it sits on the 9th floor (top) of an office building. To check-in, you receive emailed instructions and once on the top floor, you're met by hotel staff
The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom including a bathtub. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy the city lights — and even the Northern Lights — while taking a bath

Iceland Comfort Apartments by Heimaleiga, Reykjavik1 / 21
7.7
Reykjavik, Hamraborg 7 (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Doubt much maintenance is done hence the cheaper price. It was in an unbeatable location, though, easy to park and just 15 minutes into downtown Reykjavik. The service team were easy to contact
The next morning the system showed a fault/bleep yet no one from the maintenance team had fixed it and surely the fire alarm should be a priority. As least if all was safe we could have been emailed to say that
The bed and shower/bathroom were good. But note that this is budget accommodation with a worn headboard, old kitchen units, a bust window opener, a loose tap and a poorly secured fridge
There were no detailed instructions about where to muster and guests were just hanging about in the lobby whilst one of them tried to reset the system
Limited food outlets nearby but the pizza restaurant at the Art Museum was excellent and East Gate Cafe was very good
The cleaning team need to make sure that the lobby is hoovered. Also, the fire alarm went off on our last night

Reykjavik, Snorrabraut 61, Hlidar (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel has a spacious kitchen and dining room, fully stocked with bowls, pots, and other utensils, perfect for families who want to cook
It was large and welcoming for the two of us with outlets readily available by the bedsides for charging. The private shower fluctuated a bit on temp but nothing unreasonable
On our first day, we stayed in room 3B (which didn't have a private bathroom or shower; it was shared), and on our second day, we stayed in room 1C (which had a private bathroom and shower, and the kitchen and dining room were right outside the door, very convenient)
We really liked the room size and the private bathroom. We were unable to open the front door using the access code provided to us via email, but it worked for the back door
The main bed was very hard and not forgiving if you a side-sleeper. We found parking around the guest house easy to find but walked to everything versus drive
The drapes in the room should extend over the entire window, but they do not. Overall a very good stay despite some minor issues

Clean restrooms that each have a shower, you share with other guest but there are 4 so it's not an inconvenience. There is a kitchen you can use. The door to the building is secured with a code that only guest have
We stayed in The Tower and it's AMAZING. You get a great 180 degree view of the city. You are conveniently located in the middle of so much. You can easily walk anywhere and come back home between anything
Good location for walking around downtown with enough options for parking! We were in a room with the small shared kitchen but it was good enough since we were only spending one night
Only about $60 a night which is a really good deal considering it's Iceland. You get your own room with a key to it. We booked last minute but the staff responded really fast
Step out side and you have shops and restaurants and the awesome famous church is on the same street. Everything is nearby including a 24hr convince store
Room was clean and the host was super attentive to us driving jetlagged from our flight

Took this photo in the lobby on my vacation a few months ago. Tried to figure it out who it was. Took me a minute but that's Eddie Sparks. The guy who found anonymous in the US
Hotel was nice with the bar and outside area with roof access too
This is fine though, since you get what you pay for. The comon area is spacious and the kitchen has everything that you need for simple meals. Also the location is decent and only a 15 minute walk from the walking street
Probably the cheapest accommodation in whole Iceland and the equipment is accordingly. The rooms consisted of concrete floor, 4 walls, one jacket rack and beds. No table, no chair and nothing else
its big. the nights we were there the kitchen area turned into a lot of fun. A bunch of people trying to cook in, and have a few drinks to save money turned into a big group out on the town.
Free parking is available and the keyless door system works well :)

Reykjavik, 17 Vesturgata (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent hostel! Within a 10 minute walk of most museums, groceries, coffee, city hall, bus stops etc. Staff were super helpful with storing bags, booking shuttles and tours, local advice
Room was clean and well supplied, staff-free facility, security, lighting seemed adequate, good location for me.
I also loved that the kitchen/common area is in a separate building (very close); I was up late and I loved not worrying about waking people up. The breakfast costs extra but was quite delicious
The room was a good size and very clean. The only slightly negative thing was not enough coat hangers but other than that, a great stay
Immaculately clean and organized. I appreciated the little details, like the hairdryer, spot to swap unwanted items, and the devoted cubby space with outlets that runs the top of the bed
Towels were provided in the room but it is shared toilets. Things were generally clean but quite worn. Communication from the property was prompt and in advance which was good.

Galaxy Pod Hostel, Reykjavik1 / 30Good price

Reykjavik, Laugavegur 172, Hlidar (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I am really sad that it is temporarily closed because it is an awesome place to stay: from the unique pod feature (which is super safe and cool - and trust me you won't feel claustrophobic), great location, awesome staff, all the way to a cool wall feature with all the guests' signature on it
I've made friends and nice memories and I hope it will reopen soon so others can enjoy this place too
We tried it because the pods looked fun and a bit more private than a typical hostel. There were more than enough toilets for the amount of guests, and they seemed to be very clean
The pods did not seem to lock at all but would still recommend for the experience
Maybe just because it was peak season, but the pods don't lock anymore, the TVs weren't working properly, they don't offer headphones so I could never use the TV as I had wireless headphones
I have booked this pod for my trip in Reykjavik in 2019

Reykjavik, Skulagata 28, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
When we arrived I accidentally booked a day late but the receptionist immediately helped me fix it and even though we were like 4 hours early for check in they let us into our room! We booked a double room but got a free-of-charge upgrade
Both rooms had TVs and they were great. This hostel is right in the city centre and it's on the seafront. That does mean it's windy as hell when you step outside but the view makes up for it
It was better than we expected, friendly staff, clean amenities, spacious room, kitchen was provided as well, knowing everything is so expensive in Iceland, we can’t avoid to prepare our own food while getting ingredients from supermarket nearby
On my very first day, I bought a pizza without realizing there wasn’t actually an oven 😅 Instead of letting me feel awkward or disappointed, the person at reception immediately noticed and kindly showed me an alternative way to sort it out
Stayed here for 5 days during my recent to Iceland. Its very chic and comfy! Our room had a great view of the church! The staff are super friendly and helpful! Its affordable and quiet for a hostel
This place is amazing, book here if you're going to Reykjavik
