The location of this accommodation was fantastic - so central and close to everywhere, right at the heart of Reykjavík, close to the old harbour and many shops including supermarkets close by

The breakfast food was AMAZING--especially the bread. Everything was very clean and comfortable bed. A shared bathroom among 3 rooms was a little difficult, but that makes the price more affordable.

Service provided by Ginta was excellent! Initially we were assigned to a room on the 3rd floor, which would have been impossible for us as there was no elevator and we had two big luggages

Location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to bus stop #8 and Hallgrimskirkja church. It was also easy to walk to Rainbow street, Laugavegur and other attractions

It was very warm and g ch comfortable room. We had a breakfast which was variously and tasty. The location was perfect and right in the centre next to the church.

I was so happy with my stay! We had an issue with some people near our room, but a staff member helped us immediately and even moved us to the best room in the house

There is a bonus 5 mins walk away if you need anything and the location of the hotel is ideal

The breakfast was a big highlight, it’s not very often a hotel breakfast tastes like a home cooked meal!

Located just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Baldursbra guesthouse is ideal for the budget traveller, the rooms a quite big, and the room we had a small sink and mirror for brushing you teeth before bed or doing makeup

They have warm rooms all the time. Big comfort kitchen and a lobby with a lovely cat. The location is perfect for short walks to the center. They have always warm coffee for the guests

Good: Location is close to where Airport bus 55 stops, about 250m away. Rooms are large, warm and has one fridge and kettle. Common kitchen is clean, has pots, cutlery, bowls, plates, cups

It’s near Hallgrímskirkja, city center, walking distance from Airport and BSI bus station. Room and bathroom had everything that we needed, clean and comfortable. Everything was very clean. It had an outside hot bath!

Such a cozy spot! Very clean, comfy beds. Host was very quick to respond to email. Loved the shared living space, fast wifi. Kitchen had everything we needed and more! A short walk down town, would definitely recommend.

Guesthouse with self-service check-in and out. Small room (for one person; for more I think they are cool). Strange but exciting experience. I will repeat for sure next time, has an extraordinary charm

The location is a bit hidden in between buildings, but you will get a mail with good directions before you are able to check in. Very friendly owner, and she will contact you if needed

The hotel had poor soundproofing and no front desk, so those who don't speak English well should probably think twice before choosing it. The owner was very nice and let me check in early. It's very close to the church

The location is the big plus for this property, however, if you want quiet between 8pm - 11pm, this is not ideal without ear plugs due to live music at the local bars

Good location, very clean and convenient check-in. The room is small, and since it's an attic, the roof is slanted, so it's easy to hit your head if you're not careful

The Castle House Luxury Apartments are I such a great location. Everything is within walking distance with the bus stops to most of the tours within 5 minutes walk

Confusing to us was the early instructions about how to engage the system at the storage location and different instructions at the front door

Wonderful location just off the center of the city. Comfortable and clean apartment. Felt very safe for a solo traveler. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave. I didn’t use the other appliances

The apartments themselves are very clean, well equipped and warm! There is underfloor heating in the bathroom and being Iceland, instant hot water!! The beds are very comfortable, with lovely warm quilts and pillows

The ability to leave luggage on-site prior to arrival or at departure was quite appreciated. The reason for our 4 of 5 is the electronic key entry system that constantly troubled us, and no one on site to help us

Great location, close enough to the centre to walk in but far enough away it wasn’t noisy. Just across the road from a great pool.

Aside for a bit of problems with the door code, handle and the battery that left me waiting outside for a bit I can not fault anyone. The staff via WhatsApp , phone and the guy that repaired my door were kind and polite

The location is great, close to both the airport bus and the city center. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip back to my favorite island 😃🇮🇸!

This is a great option in Reykjavik--the location is wonderful and the price is quite reasonable, especially since you get a lot more space than in a normal hotel room

Our top-floor unit (reachable by elevator!) had a small balcony and a big bathroom with a good shower. In July it was light all night, of course, but there were good blinds on the windows for sleeping

Very well telephon supported by Maria when arriving. The apoartment is complet! You find every thing you may need. Wifi works bery good! Very well placed

There is parking available around the hotel. I asked the residents around and they said that as long as there is no area above the parka, you can park. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the church

It was large and welcoming for the two of us with outlets readily available by the bedsides for charging. The private shower fluctuated a bit on temp but nothing unreasonable

On our first day, we stayed in room 3B (which didn't have a private bathroom or shower; it was shared), and on our second day, we stayed in room 1C (which had a private bathroom and shower, and the kitchen and dining room were right outside the door, very convenient)

We really liked the room size and the private bathroom. We were unable to open the front door using the access code provided to us via email, but it worked for the back door

The main bed was very hard and not forgiving if you a side-sleeper. We found parking around the guest house easy to find but walked to everything versus drive

The drapes in the room should extend over the entire window, but they do not. Overall a very good stay despite some minor issues

We had a great experience staying at Rainbow Guesthouse. The house is very clean and orderly. The location is absolutely perfect! It is in the heart of the city and only minutes walk from many of the fun things to do

Not as long as I thought it would be, beautiful and bright, shops on either side, lovely little gift shops, places to eat and get a coffee,very pretty and unique, keep walking past the colours and it leads you right to the hallgrimsta

Entry was a bit rundown and 2 flights of stairs to climb. Facilities clean and quiet. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Check-in instructions clear and easy to follow. Good location for shopping, restaurants and bus pickup.

The location is okay, there are several good restaurants nearby, but the overall environment is poor, maybe because the building is old. The heating was not very good and the room was very cold

30am so I was able to identify my room and move in, and everything was fine. How they knew I hadn't arrived, I don't know - in the week I was there, I never once saw staff at reception

On the other hand, you're not going to get a better location for the price, the kitchen has everything you could need and it's very warm

Great spot in downtown Reykjavik. Bus stops just outside to get around the city, to/from the airport. Easy walk to the main city centre, waterfront, and more.

You just get a code to your room in a e-mail and that's all. Showers aren't very nice, they use geothermal water so it stinks like eggs. Breakfast is also alright, nothing special, but absolutely sufficient

Loki 101 Guesthouse was the perfect place for my stay in Reykjavik. Its location in the city is fantastic, the room was clean and comfy, and if I had any questions the staff was extremely quick to answer

The hosts and cleaning staff are super friendly and this was the PERFECT base to explore the city. It has the best location and a very well equipped kitchen

The location couldn't be any better - right across the road from Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik's most prominent landmark - and so getting around to places was incredibly easy throughout the stay

The shared bathroom is very small and only has 1 shower but there was rarely a line. We weren't able to enjoy the back porch due to the weather but our room was quite comfortable enough to look out on the streets

Although I didn't meet the owners they always responded quickly to any questions I had by email. There were only a few downsides for me. Other guests could be noisy in the corridors and kitchen at all times, day or night

This hostel is located in an older building - the rooms were great, the kitchen and bathrooms need some updating. The bathrooms were a little musty and toilets were coming to the end of their life

Shame there was not a separate toilet tho. Room was neat snd well decorated bed and bedding was amazingly comfortable. Narrow stairs up to bedrooms and down to kitchen were challenging for a 70 plus body

Centrally located, easy to walk to the centre of town. Despite this, it is remarkably quiet. Room was very clean and bright

It was very well set up with a full and large kitchen / dining room for guests to prepare their own food. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. One shared bathroom per floor worked fairly well

Because it was raining on and off when we stayed in Reykjavik, the central location of the guesthouse allowed us to hide from the rain whenever we needed to and take a little break

We were there end of September. Very nice location, very good price. The rooms look good, ambient is very homey and the owner Elza was really nice to us

We also got some useful information about Reykjavik from Roko, who works there. They also have a really sweet dog named Medo. We will definitely come again!

Located close to many things we wanted to visit and walking distance to our Golden Circle Tour pick up location. Beautiful "Moderne" architectural details can be found in the home; and it's very hospitable

We stayed here on our final night in Iceland. It was a great location close to the church and walking to just about everything, even BSI bus station if you are going to or from airport

Housekeeper and owner were very friendly and I got to play with their dog in the backyard. Highly recommend if looking for a nice friendly place to stay very close to all the action’

Booked this place for one night before going for the big circle. Had to wait for about 30 minutes to get in. Luckily there was another guy waiting that had local cell phone so he dialed place owner

Otherwise we would probably wait forever. The place itself is fairly old, but the rooms were ok for the overnight

It is more like a shared house made into a guest house. Looks and feels kinda old inside, room wasn't cosy. You can't take shower between 11 pm and 7 am. You have to take your shoes off as you enter

It's value for money but don't expect hotel comfort

I was a little worried because I thought it was someone's actual house but I was able to come and go as I pleased at all hours without fear of bothering anyone. It had the privacy of a hotel but the feeling of being home

This is fine though, since you get what you pay for. The comon area is spacious and the kitchen has everything that you need for simple meals. Also the location is decent and only a 15 minute walk from the walking street

Probably the cheapest accommodation in whole Iceland and the equipment is accordingly. The rooms consisted of concrete floor, 4 walls, one jacket rack and beds. No table, no chair and nothing else

its big. the nights we were there the kitchen area turned into a lot of fun. A bunch of people trying to cook in, and have a few drinks to save money turned into a big group out on the town.

Free parking is available and the keyless door system works well :)

very nice and quiet just outside the downtown. bit of a walk to the busy downtown area of Reykjavik, but if you don't mind that then its worth saving for a less crowded and easy going area

Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this guesthouse has ample parking and a very nice cafe with a full lunch and dinner menu, bar and fresh made bakery items as well

The property keeper was a very nice guy, he was personable and welcoming. Thank you The Hostel was very clean and comfortable, I would definitely stay again

Parking was free if you can find it, but there was a fair bit of street parking so we didn't have issues. Kids loved it, would definitely go back

The shower/sink /toilet areas were clean, bedding was very comfortable. The building, public lounges and rooms all felt safe

Loved the location and room set up (I only had 3 other people in my room). Everything was clean and simple. Didn’t mind having to walk a bit as you get a much better price and to see more of the city

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was simple but filling. The kitchen facilities were also clean, well organized, and well stocked. It is also wonderfully located right downtown

The room was a good size and very clean. The only slightly negative thing was not enough coat hangers but other than that, a great stay

Towels were provided in the room but it is shared toilets. Things were generally clean but quite worn. Communication from the property was prompt and in advance which was good.

Our superior double room was very comfortable on our first stay, but the double room was less comfortable and it was really noisy on Friday night, so we wouldnt choose it again on a weekend

Wow! I really loved this location and the community was great! I have stayed at multiple hostels in my travels so I am familiar with shared spaces. I stayed in the 8 room female dorm with a shared bathroom

The owner is lovely and has a beautiful dog. The bar area is a plus, full of sofas, chairs, and all kinds of games. Last but not least, a magnificent terrace overlooking the main street downtown
