Apartment was great, as was the location. Only two minor adjustments I would make personally - put felt pads on all the furniture, this will reduce noise for the apartment below. Second is the shower, place a bracket at an angle for the hand held sprayer so it doesn’t just spray you vertically!

Good, well equipped facility in an excellent location. Good, courteous staff. Only downside is location works against you at weekends late at night with street noise (unless you're one of them of course), so perhaps not best for young families. Recommended.

Near city center, has free car park and few minutes walk away provided you can find an available one. Room is clean, 3 toilets with 2 showers, upstairs 1 toilet with shower. Quite a few rooms sharing the amenities. Full kitchen though a bit small.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guesthouse Galtafell. It was very clean with great amenities and a spacious bathroom. I was so happy with my stay! We had an issue with some people near our room, but a staff member helped us immediately and even moved us to the best room in the house. Beautiful venue, would highly recommend. Had been doing the ring road in a van that would last couple of days was so wonderful to come into such a cleanup, aesthetic, and calm environment to spend the night again. The hotel had poor soundproofing and no front desk, so those who don't speak English well should probably think twice before choosing it. The owner was very nice and let me check in early. We absolutely loved our apartment which had a separate double bedroom and twin beds in the living area. Having a sofa, kitchen and dining table was lovely - it felt like being at home. the breakfast baskets delivered to our door were very generous and good quality. The kids loved having a PlayStation! We had a great experience staying at Rainbow Guesthouse. The house is very clean and orderly. The location is absolutely perfect! While a bit cozy and squeaky in places, this was an affordable space for my family in the heart of Reykjavik - close to everything we wanted to see.

The location is okay, there are several good restaurants nearby, but the overall environment is poor, maybe because the building is old. The heating was not very good and the room was very cold. There is no elevator, so you need to carry your suitcase upstairs. All in all I don't think it's worth it compared to the price of ninety pounds a night.
