Lovely campsite open in the winter! Campers do a self-serve check-in on an iPad at the hotel reception where you can also get a coffee or a drink. The lounge in the reception is open until 2200 if you want to play pool or chess. The parking for campers is around the back of the reception building to the right.
There is a nice WC and shower building close to the parking lot. Everything is very well labeled to what is private and what is for guests. The guesthouse also has a very well-equipped kitchen to make meals and relax in!
Gorgeous views of the mountains are visible and the wind wasn’t as bad here! The dog and cat were also very cute! :)

The hotel is located in a charming paradise, surrounded by breathtaking nature. The homemade bread is excellent, and the breakfast is good and varied. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! It’s very quiet, and we slept extremely well.

If you are travelling with a campervan on a road trip, and need a campsite to stay, this is great. There is a self-serve kitchen area with all essentials you require along with some extra condiments etc. The lobby also is very nice.

We camped here. This was one of my least favourite campsites on our ring road trip. It really wasn't clear to me where we should park based on the signs. No one was working here when we arrived dinner time to ask any questions so we just did what other campers did. But I still don't think we were all parked in the right place. View was nice from camper.

The common room / kitchen was really well equipped. You could cook a full meal in there and I think there was a full oven. They had dish washing as well. There is a washroom inside.

Outside there is one of those portable bathroom / shower setups with a 2 of a bath / shower combo. I didn't love these on our trip because some places people lock the outside for the washroom and the shower at once. Can you use the washroom while someone is in the shower? I am not sure.

Later in the evening they locked one of them so we had 1 washroom / shower for the full campground of like 12 - 15 campers. One of the campers had like a family of 8 in it so one washroom isn't really sufficient. That washroom still wasn't open the following morning. Also to note - I know it's more eco friendly but towels for drying your hands doesn't feel clean to me. Especially when I didn't see one person working here - who changes these towels?

When we went to leave I went into the hotel and still no one on the desk in the morning. I hit the door bell, yelled out for someone. There couldn't have been any one staying in this hotel. I had to walk around the entire hotel yelling out for someone. I really didn't want to leave and not pay but I had to work to find someone to take my money. Finally I found a man cleaning a room and he thanked me for coming to find him and pay. I get the feeling people just don't always pay here.

This was a real mixed experience for me. Fine for a night if you are in the area but I'd probably look elsewhere.

It seems odd based on the remaining ratings, but our experience was bad. Our two rooms were not cleaned at all, a lot of dust below the beds, I found several hairs in my bed. Mattresses were very soft, making it difficult to sleep. In one of the bathrooms, there were still papers. When we ask for one more bath and face towel in each room, staff were really unkind and rude. Also, we were in the living room at 10pm and the staff got us out because they need to close the space, but they were really rude kicking us out. I sincerely do not believe this rate above 4 is fair and accurate. Unless we had really bad luck with both rooms.

Super easy check in. Ate at Hygge which was recommended by the hotel in an email and it was sooooo good! Beds were very comfortable. A little outdated in terms of room furniture, etc but it added to the charm. :)

Waking up on this farm with delicious breakfast was a highlight of our trip. Well run guesthouse and beautiful lobby.

They were very kind and accommodating since I had messed up my booking for the hotel. I needed to stay there on July 6th, but didn’t actually book it until July 7th. When we got there I realized my error. I was so worried about having to find another hotel, but they found a room for me and my family and we made do. They directed us to a nice place to eat and it all worked out well. We thank them for their help. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities.

The staff were great. The room was large, everything worked, the furniture showed signs of age, but had characture. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, especially the home cured lamb.
Unfortunately the resturant was closed, but we were directed to one nearby and given a 10% discount code. The room had tea and coffee making facilitates, with tea bags, coffee and sugar, but no milk. It was disappointing that the reception area was closed every evening as there was seated areas, a pool table, chess set etc.
