Kyoto, 48-2 Nishikujo Kasugacho, Minami Ward (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is excellent, close to the metro station, and the accommodation is clean. It was raining when I left, and the receptionist even gave me an umbrella to shield me from the rain; I was extremely grateful. Highly recommended accommodation.
Great location nearby the station and room are clean. Would love to visit again in the future.
Its discouner hotel, Near Kyoto Station, self check-in, self lagguagge storage, room with TV, water boil, mini bar, hair dryer, veru clean, microwave and washing machine at reception
Polite, friendly staff, the room is clean, there is enough space and everything you need. If there was a second chair, an iron and ironing room, and a microwave not right at the entrance to the hotel, it would be perfect.
Very basic and a good distance from the train station. Had everything we needed and great for a one night stay.
very good place to stay, have bath tub and location is also convinient.
The only thing is checkin time is 4pm, not okay for early arrival
they dont even provide toilet for their guests until u got into the room!

I was wondering if it would be possible to offer a few more breakfast options. That said, everything was excellent and you are doing a wonderful job. This ryokan is definitely one of the best choices for anyone who wants to experience Japanese culture. Thank you so much. See you next time.
Extremely nice customer service, even for Japan. Location is also really excellent, with the main train/bus/subway point for Kyoto right across the street. The onsen is actually four separate ones (two for men, two for women) and is open till midnight, which means it was never crowded. When I went, I had the onsen to myself. Front desk was very proactive in asking about breakfast, room cleaning...
Pleasant place. Japanese style. There's an onsen.
Right across from Kyoto Station, and there's an Ito Kyuemon on the first floor. Plus, you can access the department store food court through the underground shopping street – super convenient! The decor has a distinct school trip vibe.
The staff were so sweet and friendly! Some were able to speak English and those that couldn’t still tried their best to be helpful!
A memorable stay thanks to the kind staff.
The location alone makes this a great place to stay, and the friendly staff made our trip even more pleasant.
However, the room was cold (I didn't ask about extra heating options), and I thought the bathroom cleaning could use a bit more attention.
Overall, it was a memorable experience because of the staff. Thank you.

Fantastic stay at Tsugu Hotel Kyoto. The location is perfect—central yet quiet, making it easy to explore the city. Very clean and the design was modern and simple. The service was exceptional, especially when they assisted in retrieval of my items that were sent from Tokyo. Truly reliable and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Great vibe and very helpful staff.
Every thing is good. Best memories here. Thanks.
My sixth time visiting this hotel. Still my number one favorite hotel !!
The location of hotel is pretty good, just about 8min walk to the subway. Services is expected for Japanese hotel. Room is reasonably sized but window looks out to the wall of the neighbouring building. Quite typical of boutique hotels in Japanese cities. A pleasant stay overall

Really well located, beautifully appointed hotel
Great service and a very spacious room!
The room was spacious enough and very comfortable. The hinoki cypress bath smelled amazing, it was the best! Plus, there was a sake lounge where I could enjoy many different varieties. 🙌
Hotel is clean and comfortable.
Only downside is the train is relatively far
Super duper love this hotel! There’s free flow sake till 9pm daily. We stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed sake almost every night. We even bought a box of sake when we checked out :) The room was big and comfy. There’s a washing machine inside the room, very convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto next time 🙂
It was very quiet and comfortable. The bath was lovely, and it made for a wonderful memory!

Nice and clean hotel. Exactly what yiu expect for the price point.

I stayed at M’s Hotel Kyoto Station Kizuya, which is about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The location is quite convenient, especially if you are traveling with a large suitcase, since luggage is generally not allowed on Kyoto city buses. Walking from the station is therefore a practical option.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, which I really liked. There are bus stops within...
The room was really clean. However, the front desk system was quite confusing. It seemed self-service but wasn't, and sometimes there was only one person at the front desk or no one at all, which made the service quite inefficient.
Room is clean and okay, small but manageable to open all luggage. Toilet fit size with woman but small for male. Location is in walking distance but around the hotel is the local’s house, peaceful but need to walk for travel and food.
The room is quite good; it's big enough to keep a suitcase open, which isn't common in Japan. The bathroom has a tub with hot water and good pressure, perfect for showering. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Within a 5-minute walk, there are several convenience stores. The only drawback I'd mention is that they don't clean the room daily, only on the 4th day of your stay...
It's very quiet, just a bit far from the station. If you're not too familiar with Kyoto, you might have to search for a while to find it. However, the hotel and room are still very comfortable and clean.

The hotel is nice and simple. The double bed was comfortable however the bedroom is was really small. Is located nearby Nijo station, I will choose another location to stay next time in Kyoto.
Very enjoyable stay, nothing major to complain about, good price, would recommend.
Walking distance to train stations, donki and dontomburi tourist attraction sites. The hotel is self serve mainly but has laundry and kitchen which was nice :)
The room was clean and the self-service experience was great. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time, and the location is convenient for getting around.
I like my staying in Kyoto here, comfortable room with all nessesary things for resting, especially the dryer in the bathroom, very friendly personnel. For me location was convenient, bus stop and station, castle and the park nearby.

Place had working netflix. 10/10.
Staircase up to the bed is kinda horrifying but the place is honestly quite good for the price. Walls are paper thin but they provided ear plugs.
I elected a room that can be randomly allocated by the hotel which we got a small room. It was nice and cozy. I loved the bathroom and the location was great. Closed to train station.
Close to temples and shrines, good price.
Will book for another stay in Kyoto and recommend to friends.
Very satisfied, the location is excellent, and you can reach the surrounding scenic spots in ten minutes.
The room is clean, the food is good, and the location is very convenient
Good location. 5 minutes to 2 metro lines. Gion is 2 minutes walk away. On the intersecting street. Clean, nice staff. Umbrellas are provided during the rain. Perfect location for a trip to Kyoto. Very nice hotel with good facilities.
The hotel has a great location, the room is comfortable, has everything you need, and the saunas are a special plus!
The breakfast buffet was very filling and delicious.
I also liked that we could use both the large and small baths.
The room was spacious and clean, and the location of Higashi Honganji Temple was great.
I also liked the service of storing our luggage after check-out.
My only complaint is that there were no towels provided in the bathroom.
There were no hand towels, so I had to use the towel I brought...
Room was modern and clean, but tiny. No room for luggage. Onsen was also far too small for the number of guests.
It was a wonderful hotel right in front of Higashi Honganji Temple!
It was clean and comfortable.
The only thing that bothered me was the loud air conditioning and the lack of amenities.
There was no water in the room, so if you need it, I recommend buying some before entering the room.
The hotel's location is decent, about a 20-30 minute walk from transportation, which is fine if you can handle it.
The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant is small, but the service and food were thoughtfully presented, the flavors were excellent, and there were variations every day. This was the most satisfying aspect of the entire trip. I absolutely loved the herbal porridge. Could the owner...

solid location with a convenience store right outside and if you don't feel like walking there's a bicycle rental shop nearby with a very friendly shopkeeper to help you.

It’s an experience stay in Japanese room

First off, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right up there with the Hyatt at Ninen-zaka. Being next to Chion-in Temple, it just sets the stage perfectly. All the main attractions are within walking distance.
However, the hotel is quite old and feels a bit neglected in terms of maintenance. The cleanliness left something to be desired. The windows were dusty, and there was a lot of...
Excellent location, with a unique morning blessing ceremony. The hotel is in superb condition, and the service is great, perfect for an authentic local cultural experience. Most attendees at the morning temple blessing are Japanese. The rooms are spotless and the facilities are all very new.
Convenient location, spacious rooms, and great toiletries. We even got a complimentary breakfast on our last night, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!
Be sure to try the hotel's morning ritual, a Buddhist ceremony known as the 'Morning Awakening Ritual'. The entire hotel boasts a distinctly Japanese design. It's said that Wang Sicong chose this type of hotel in Kyoto to unwind.
This is my second stay here. My previous booking was direct through their official website, but I found a better deal on Ctrip this time. A unique feature of this place is the opportunity to attend the temple's morning service and listen to Japanese monks chanting. What's more, it's conveniently located very close to popular attractions, making it incredibly easy to explore on foot.
