This was my first time staying at a place with no restaurant or room service. I went with my wife's mother and son, so we rented two rooms, one above the other. It's a well-built old house, so it was quieter and cleaner than I expected. I thought it would be nice to stay at a place like this every once in a while, and I was able to relax without having to worry about anyone else.

A great ryokan very central in Kyoto. It has been recently built/refurbished and rooms are in very good condition.
