The location is fantastic! It's just a 10-minute walk to Shijo Kawaramachi, and popular attractions like Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Kennin-ji Temple are a 15-20 minute walk away. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven, a supermarket, and a bus stop all within a 3-5 minute walk.

The hygiene and service were a bit subpar. They only clean once for stays longer than 6 nights, and towels and bath towels aren't replaced daily. However, the room amenities were decent: it had a microwave, a refrigerator, an air purifier, and air conditioning. Overall, I'd recommend it if you can get it for 200-300 per night during off-peak times!

During peak seasons (like cherry blossom or autumn foliage season), it's still a good option if the price doesn't exceed 500 per night!

Clean and tidy, with a great location. It's very close to both bus and subway stations, and there are fruit and convenience stores nearby. The Kamo River is just a short walk away, making daily life and getting around very convenient.

Absolutely amazing! Just a few minutes' walk to a supermarket and bus stop. The front desk staff were great, and the bathroom was also good.

When I entered the room, the windows and doors were tightly closed. It was extremely hot and the smell of smoke was still very strong. I immediately opened the window. After one night and one day of ventilation, the smell gradually dissipated a little. My throat was uncomfortable for two days. After the previous guest left, the staff could have opened the windows to ventilate and reduce the smell of smoke. Why didn't they do it? The service is poor.

The hotel has a microwave and is very close to a bus stop, allowing easy walking access to different subway stations. It's also near Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka Shrine. Plus, there are several excellent restaurants right next to the hotel.

Love at the first sight — this budget hotel despite smaller than your average, it has every amenities you could only imagine. Aside from the usual electrical appliances and toiletries, the mini fridge, microwave, razor blade, bathtub in the private room are amongst the things that stood out to me. Since I visited Japan during a torrid summer, I was able to amass ice-creams into the fridge, how convenient. The room is squeaky clean, so there is nothing to complain.

Note that there are multiple locations of the hotel across Kyoto, check carefully which is the one you booked. For Teramachi-dori branch, the location is eminent, it has arrays of convenience stores, from 7-Eleven, Lawson, to 100Yen, walking distance to the Nishiki market and bus stops to go to Arashiyama and Kiyomizu-dera. There’s a closer branch just a few minutes walk from Kyoto Station, so I can’t wait to try it next time. Aside from its pristine condition and location, the receptionist girl is helpful with using the self-service check-in machine, communicating in great commands of English. I’ll definitely recommend this hotel!

Room was perfect for a solo traveler. You can get new towels and razors every day for free, so super useful. Staff were also very helpful and friendly.

The room was a bit small, but it was well-equipped and quite clean. However, the location isn't very convenient. It's fine for a solo business trip, and it offers good value for money.
