Clean and has their own bath house at the top floor that opens till 1am. Next door is 711 and also a large supermarket with in few minutes walk that opens til 12am. Location wise is just a bit far from the metro

The location is super convenient, close to both JR and subway Nijo stations. If you're heading to Amanohashidate, you can easily take the JR from Nijo round trip, and it's a direct 10-minute ride to Kyoto Station

The hotel facilities are also quite sufficient, with a large public bath and a gym located on the 1st floor. There are two large supermarkets nearby, along with various convenience stores and chain restaurants

This was my third stay here, and I'm already quite familiar with the place, feeling completely at home. Every day, I'd head out for some coffee or matcha, then come back for another drink

KOMEDA is right across the street, and there are tons of restaurants in the Sannjo-kai area, plus many cafes. The room size was sufficient, clean, and well-equipped

Stayed for three nights during the autumn leaves season. Although the price was several times higher due to the holidays, overall it was pretty good

Would’ve been terrific minus the cigarette smells in the lobby and the super hard beds. Outside of that pretty good stay and close to a lot of things like Nijo castle, Kyoto imperial palace

There’s a few supermarkets to choose from like life and fresco. There’s a showers in the room are everything!

Very big and spacious room. Clean and comfortable. 3 minutes walk from omiya station. Lounge is big and you can heat up your food and have your meals there. Highly recommended!

The staff is not so friendly, normal compare to other hotel I've stayed. The bed I got made me itchy a little in the night. Good things it near the center.

I am a very mean person and give a half star to most of the places. This hotel (for its price) is very nice for its nice front staffs, cleanliness, and an okay indoor onsen

Although the breakdast in a buffet style, the number of food was very small. The microwave wasn't working properly. That is the only complaint I have

The homemade yogurt was incredibly smooth and creamy, and paired with mango, it was absolutely fantastic! They even gave us a small complimentary gift upon check-out! I'll definitely be staying here again!

The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away

It was really good to stay at Resol, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was excellent- right in the middle of the high street- but the hotel itself served as a sanctuary and can I add, the scent when you walked in was heavenly- I even bought their signature essential oil

Classic hotel with very good customer service. From my window, I enjoyed trees and birds in the imperial palace grounds. Breakfast was really nice overlooking their beautiful interior garden and pond.

The hotel is very close to the subway station, about ten minutes' walk away. There is a paid breakfast in the morning, which costs 1,750 yen per person, which is equivalent to a Chinese set meal

For such a prime and expensive location, the room size is actually quite good! The Kamo River and Kawaramachi area right next to the hotel offer truly healing beautiful scenery, and there are tons of great food options right outside the door too!

The hotel's location is really great; I love the Isomaru right across the street. This time, though, I encountered a staff member who wasn't very sharp

The main draw is how comfortable it is right by the Takase River, and Ogawa Coffee, just one traffic light away, is also delicious

There's a supermarket just 20 meters to the left when you leave the hotel. Matsuya (a popular beef bowl restaurant) is about 200 meters further to the left, with Isomaru Suisan directly opposite it

I'm giving this place full marks, it's just so convenient! It's about 200 meters from the subway exit (take the Starbucks exit), and only a 10-minute walk to Daimaru Department Store and Nishiki Market

My only minor gripes are that they don't even provide a bottle of water, and the hotel's public bath isn't very big – it felt cramped with just four people

Being a Toyoko Inn, there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and the service is also excellent. The only downside is the location

My room was in front of the air conditioner unit storage area, so the view from the window was terrible. Apparently there are rooms with views of Lake Biwa, so I wish they'd let me choose the view I wanted

It's a bit far from both JR Otsu Station and Keihan Biwako-Hamaotsu Station, so it might be a bit difficult if you have luggage or during hot or cold seasons

Staying at Ishicho was a great experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and the room and onsen were very nice! I would definitely recommend staying here.

We didn’t end up trying the public baths, so I can’t comment on that, but the room itself and the futons were great ^^ When I think walkable, it may be different to someone else’s walkable, but transport (bus) is okay to get around— it is pretty busy though so take at your own caution if you have a large suitcase

Literally the hotel is in the station just get the elevator and go down and there you go you arrive attge station and after 2 stops 9 minutes you arrive at Kyoto station

I traveled with my parents and booked a twin room and a double room. The overall space was a bit small, especially the twin room, which wasn't much bigger than the double room

overall aesthetic, affordable place to be in kyoto. near several hotspots like kyoto station (a subway ride away), gion area. i find buses around this area to be very convenient to travel around kyoto

This made it difficult to open a 34-inch suitcase. The hotel also didn't have a large public bath for soaking

My kids are very excited about this pokemon theme room, even the eating utensils are pokeballs. They have washing machines with washing detergent, which is good for long staying travellers
