Hotel Japanesque Kyoto Station ZEQUU, Kyoto1 / 23

Parking: Free parking
the closes station to go to fushimiinari temple is about 15-20 minutes away to walk and the walk is scary to get to and from the station
Great hotel and pretty much close to everything in the area! Lots of shrines and temples within an hour walk, biggest room in this price range in all the hotels I’ve been to in Japan 😃! Lots of cool lighting and outlets too! Only complaint is my room had no toilet seat heater 😫
Near enough to the the station to allow you to go to the transportation center and far enough to be in the residential area where it is relatively quiet. The staff are accommodating and can speak English
We booked this hotel for 3 days. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. It's within walking distance to public transport and at a reasonable distance for most attractions in Kyoto
Very neat and compact rooms. Everything was spotless. The breakfast was very good. The one lady who prepared and served the breakfast was very nice and helpful as was the rest of the staff.
It is roughly two kilometers from Kyoto station, you can walk to it through the side streets

com, the price shows online does not include the kid, even we selected the kid at the begining, so we had to pay additional at check out. This is agent's issue, not the resort
Experience was perfect. Unfortunately, we arrived later in the afternoon at 5pm, and wasnt able to take advantage of most of the facilities.
Then there's the food: The dinner was Kaiseki cuisine plus Omi beef shabu-shabu, which was surprisingly delicious! I thought I might not be used to Kaiseki, but that wasn't the case at all! The Omi beef was also of superb quality, incredibly fresh and flavorful after a quick dip in the clear broth
Extremely satisfied with this hotel, definitely a vacation experience you won't regret! First off, the check-in service was impressive, with staff literally kneeling to assist us, and they provided a very thorough introduction to all the hotel's facilities and services
Public onsen was ok; the water was not as hot and as original. Breakfast selection was ok, can be better and have more selection other than seafood. Dinner was superb! The only thing was lacking is the location
Breakfast was also very rich and varied! The room size was also perfectly fine. The only slight drawback is that check-out time is too early. If it could be a bit later, it would be absolutely perfect!

Great location for easy tourist traps. Very crowded of tourist from all parts of the world. Very scenic area, very close to the bamboo forest. Cafe Takahashi around the corner would be my go to place to have good food.
A standout was the Japanese breakfast—it was not only delicious but also served with a strong sense of ritual, making each morning feel special and authentic. The most memorable feature, however, was the private garden
During this season, it was exceptionally serene and beautiful, like a living painting that invites you to immerse yourself in its peace. I highly recommend staying here for a unique and culturally rich experience
Hotel is in exciting location for living and walking around. A little bit retro but stylish. Everyday cleaning was excellent. Interesting Japanese breakfast. Matres and pillow were too hard for me
This hotel’s location is truly ideal for exploring the area. While the facilities have a nostalgic, slightly dated feel, they are exceptionally clean and well-kept
The staff are absolutely fantastic—super helpful and incredibly friendly! And the food? Simply mouthwatering!

Although the location is a little walk away, the experience is great. I slept very comfortably, and the room is spacious enough to fit two large suitcases with plenty of room to move around
Standard 3 star hotel. Location is good, nothing too special. Room is big enough for a family. Most important for me is the hotel looks clean.sound proof is bad. Can hear other people and cars from outside easily.
Facilities: Spacious and clean Environment: Good location Service: Good service
Satisfactory and comfortable, good location, suitable for family trips. I stayed for three nights and would recommend it to my friends. Clean and hygienic, there is a bus stop downstairs and many subway stations nearby.
My boss booked it for our business trip. The rooms were fabulous and so was the hotel staff. The breakfast was delicious and some of the best I have ever had. Don't forget to try some of the bath salts they sell
I'm quite satisfied. The location is good too. The only problem is the placement of the TV; I really don't understand it.

was in japan for 9 days, came to kyoto for 2 and tbh the hotel here was the best ive stayed in, spacious, convenient and clean. staff were super friendly too and has a nearby anytime fitness
Went to Urbain Kyoto for a lunch. The price is reasonable (I bought the 680 Yen Salmon). The food is delicious. The place is cozy, it is also near Omiya Station. The staff is nice. Enjoy it.
Rooms are clean, staff are nice, And the amenities/free drinks downstairs are great too. And of course, the price is very affordable. Overall, pretty happy with my stay here.
You don't need to worry about prices and quality since this was veryvery Good hotel compare to the cheap prices. Recommend for solo traveler with limit budget and University student in japan who going on trip to kyoto !
Room is small but packed and neatly arranged with all compartments. Have open wardrobe where you can put your luggage inside it. Toilet with bathtubs and all. Nice stay
staff can talk in both Thai , English and Japanese. The room fee is affordable cheap and service are very very good !!! Room is cleaned best for solo traveler

Sanitation: Very good Facilities: Complete This is the largest Japanese inn I have ever stayed in. The suite on the fifth floor is really large, with a rare double sink, and the bedroom is also very comfortable
Very nice team, wonderful room, onsen in site, great breakfast. Location is great too, lots of shops and restaurantes available at walking distance.
I experienced the best service in the heart of Kyoto! The staff was very friendly and we had the bathhouse to ourselves, which was really nice.
Environment: The hotel is in a very good location. It is within walking distance to the city center. It is larger than most Japanese inns
The quality of the food is a bit unstable. There are two good meals and two weak meals. Overall, it is still a hotel worth staying in
When I left, the owner even gave me a nice souvenir – a beautiful handkerchief and chopsticks – a very thoughtful touch

Hotel room was very lovely with soft bed, air conditioner, bath and everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend this place!
I had a backpack, and it took around 30 minutes to get to the hotel on foot (without backpack and on the second time, it was 10-15 minutes). The hotel is cheap, and I think you get what you paid for
It was amazing 2 night stays in Hotel Exellence Kyoto Ekimae. It’s near by Kyoto station so it’s easy to find and plan your movements
Convenient location near to Kyoto Station. I had a comfortable stay and no complaints.
The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. Bath towels and pajamas are changed every day. A simple free breakfast is provided. It is very close to Kyoto Station, which makes travel very convenient
The tap water is bluish for some reason. I didn't drink it. Besides, it's quite cold in the hotel. I lived on the 8th floor and the hot water was a thin stream. The breakfast is very conditional. Coffee and toast.

The location is a bit tucked away, haha, but it's really good. It's small, but the layout is so well-designed that it doesn't feel inconvenient at all. The bath is decent too, haha. I really had a relaxing stay.
The breakfast area was small, so we couldn't eat at the time we wanted, but they were considerate enough to contact us when a seat became available, which we appreciated
The front desk service is so impressively great. Only few mintues walk from the station
The facility was clean and close to the station, so it was very convenient
The sink is small and inconvenient; I have to wash over the bathtub. Storage drawers in the public bathhouse don't lock, which is unsafe. Breakfast is delicious and varied, with traditional Japanese appetizers
The bar didn't have mineral water or coffee in the room. The only towels provided were a bath towel and hand towel to take to the public bath, so I wished I had a separate towel for drying my hands

The staff were all very friendly, the stay was great with breakfast included and it was a great value, and it was close to the station and tourist spots. Nothing to complain about! It was a hotel.
The staff are lovely and the breakfast is delicious.
Location wise not the most convenient to some of the attractions as i had to walk an average of 10 to 15min to get to the train station
It was within walking distance of Kyoto Station and the facilities were clean, which was nice. The shower room was a bit small.
They helped me a lot when I checked in and out, and it was really nice. I would like to stay here again if I visit the area.
The best beds and by far the best breakfast of all nine hotels I stayed in on this trip. Definitely recommended.

This is the most satisfying hotel I've ever stayed in, and of course, the price reflects that. I would definitely choose it again if I came back. It's truly top-notch in every aspect, and the photos turn out beautifully
They said they would contact me by email with details about the room, but it's incredibly rude to ask someone who is traveling to confirm details by email, and anyone would be furious about what they said at that time
I will never book a hotel through Trip again. I don't usually write reviews, and I'm not sure if this is the right place to write about this, but I'm leaving this so that no one else experiences the same problem
The service and quality are the same as other guests', so I think it's a good hotel. However, realistically, I couldn't stay in the room I was scheduled for, and the bed and bathroom didn't meet my expectations
If this had cost tens of thousands of yen, I might just consider it bad luck, but paying over 100,000 yen for accommodation and having such an unpleasant experience makes me wonder what the point was
During my recent stay, I received a call from Trip a few hours before check-in. They contacted me to inform me that my reservation for room [101] had not actually been made

The miso soup and grilled fish were especially delicious, providing a perfect, energetic start to the day! For anyone seeking a 'Wayo-Secchu' (Japanese-Western fusion) accommodation experience in Kyoto, this place is absolutely a top-notch, high-value choice!
Superb Japanese Experience, Unbeatable Location! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, surrounded by countless restaurants, cafes, and traditional shops, making it ideal for both sightseeing and evening strolls
Shared with 4 pax in a family with a toddler 2 yo. Love the design of the room. Toilet was very good and comfortable. It's a little secluded but that's what we preferred yet the location is convenient.
The staff service is particularly commendable – they are warm, patient, and communicate flawlessly in English. They even went the extra mile to recommend hidden gems and local favorite restaurants
The hotel is beautiful, with excellent staff, delicious coffee, and great tea. The rosemary-infused water is a nice touch – overall, it's a stylish and modern hotel with a Kyoto vibe
However, I was a bit bothered that my room didn't have a window and the toilet and bathroom were separate. I found that a bit uncomfortable for a hotel room

Even though the room didn't have an openable window, it wasn't an issue this time of year. The bathtub was huge, and the hotel is very close to Nijo Castle, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle
Very safe and private hotel, very close to Nijo Castle, 7 minutes walk to Karasuma Subway Station, there are many convenience stores next to the hotel, as well as local vegetable shops and bakeries, very convenient for daily shopping
They even gave us traditional Japanese sweets (wagashi) and matcha. Breakfast was excellent, but I skipped the salmon since I don't eat seafood
The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk to the downtown area I will stay here again next time I come to Kyoto
The hotel design is simple and beautiful, and the lobby and rooms have a sense of design

We just finished our stay at Seikoro Ryokan. It was hands down the best experience of our visit to Japan and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto. The hospitality, care, and overall execution was perfect
The y really take care of food allergies and every thing there is really clean. They have communal bath if you want r to try and I remember that they where not that much people in the womans one
The bathrooms are traditional Japanese bahtroom ( shower, toilets) the staff there is lovely and so kind( when you leave for the day they continue to wave at you until you cannot see you anymore) the food there is so good ( for dinner you get traditional Japanese food which is so good and for breakfast you can choose between western style or Japanese style and of r the last day we got a traditional...
Kyoto's summer, coolness over the Kamo River, a two-hundred-year-old starry stream in an old-time inn. Entering the inn, you're immersed in a condensed history of the ancient capital, and the hospitality is impeccable
The building is a traditional almost 200 year old building and experience is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Walkability was really good too. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness

Local foods and fast food restaurants are around too. Room size is alright for two persons as we're out most of the day but the bathroom/toilet is a bit small and cramped
Excellent service and a fantastic location! It's surrounded by a bustling commercial street, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
Great location with basic amenities. Well recommended and situated in a good location Laundry facilities can be improved by having paid laundry and the machine being lockable
Staff are very friendly and it carries any items you may have forgotten. Rooms are a good size and is exactly what you expect from a hotel
Had laundry taken out inconsiderate users when it’s not finished yet
The location is great! The wifi was problematic though. we ended up using our own sim cards. Facilties are a bit old, especially the heating. There's only 4 settings, not like an aircon remote

Looked forward to it every morning during the trip. The room we booked includes 2 beds and 2 futons, I like that combination, suitable for the elderly who may have problems sleeping on the floor
Banda Down the beat hotel ever. Traditional interior and breakfast truly are the most marvelous experience you can ever wish for. The stuff is very kind and helpful
There are a lot of food and shopping on the way, which will not make people feel tired of rushing. It is just that eating and shopping will indefinitely extend the time to the destination haha
Everyone should stay in a Ryokan at least once in their lives
There are also many charming little restaurants in the vicinity. Though close to the main shopping district, I appreciated the peaceful and relaxed ambiance, a welcome contrast to the busier commercial areas
The location is truly unbeatable; Yasaka Shrine (under a 5-minute walk), Hokanji Temple (10-minute walk), and Kodai-ji Temple are all within easy walking distance

My wife and I just came back from Japan and had a wonderful stay at the Kyoto Shijo Takakura Hotel Grandereverie. The staff provided great service and anticipated our every need
The reception was very professional and neat, the room was very nice and luxurious. A very nice stay!! And the location is perfect.
Big rooms and easy access to everything
Our room felt like windowless room in the bowels of a cruise ship. There was no airflow and the room was dark. The window would only open 5” and the other window was sealed shut. We couldn’t get the thermostat to work
The Kyoto Shijo Takakura Grand Reverie is a completely decent hotel, but I just couldn’t deal with the opaque windows in our room. Pictures of the hotel show that the windows are clear and unobstructed

Although the room is small, it's fully equipped and offers all the basic services you need. Breakfast, drinks, and coffee are provided free of charge on the first floor. It's about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station
Pros - Good Location near the Kyoto train station and aeon mall. - Free breakfast with delicious food. - Although I left personal belongings after checkout, the manager(owner) is polite and help me to open the door
Value for money 4000 yen per night.. room a bit small.. strong wifi.. strong shower head with mini bath tub.. daily cleaning.. clothes rack available .. shower foam, shampoo and conditioner provided
This hotel is "excellent" indeed, I was lucky to book this room at last-day discounted price, costed the same as a capsule but this is a proper ensuit room
Note that getting to the JR station from the hotel requires walking through a long underground passage; the hotel faces the Shinkansen platform directly
- Room is clean, big and easy to sleep. - Have all necessaries including TV, towels. etc Cons - cannot leave luggages after checkout

We are two nights into our three night stay, and I highly recommend Hotel Imagine Kyoto!!! To start, it’s the cutest little hotel. Brand new and so clean, bright and open! Not to mention great design and details
The tatami area in our room was perfect for our baby to crawl around on, and there was plenty of space to set up his travel crib, or other bedding options if you want to bed share / sleep on futons
The room is clean and comfortable, with Japanese-style decoration full of Kyoto style. The service staff is very friendly and the local food they recommend is also very delicious. Overall, it is worth staying here
While there isn’t a restaurant here, there is a coffee maker, microwave oven, and refrigerator, as well as a washer and dryer. After exploring Kyoto, I genuinely think this is the cutest hotel here

While smaller than those in Hokkaido, it still offered a peaceful and authentic experience. The kaiseki cuisine was top notch. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the menu exceeded our expectations
The staff were warm, attentive, and even helped arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel in Fukuoka, which made our trip much easier. The onsen was relaxing and well-maintained
Even the breakfast was really good. Everything about this ryokan was thoughtful and well-prepared. The area is also nearby so many temples and is surrounded by mountains
If you love nature this is a perfect ryokan for you. Luckily we found seryo for our trip. This ryokan isPerfect for families looking for a quiet and memorable stay
Our stay at Seryo Ryokan in Ohara was an 11/10 experience and the highlight of our Japan trip. From arrival to departure, the service was exceptional
The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the utensils and presentation are beautiful. Sanzen-in Temple is just a short walk away, so you can go early, but I recommend Hosen-in Temple, less than 100 meters away
