Hotel Grand United Ahlone Branch in Yangon

The hotel amenities and cleanliness can be improved with more new furniture amd carpet. The service of the staff is good. The hotel is near to junction city.

Before to visit Myanmar I read many reviews and they told that staff at reception can help to book tickets for bus. In this hotel only one girl spoke English when I was checking in but when I come and ask to help me with bus ticket booking nobody could help. The people who were on reception had very poor English. I spent half of the day to buy ticket.
And location is a bit far from center. I recommend to book this brand hotel in Chinatown.

I stayed here for only one day as I extended my trip by a day. Don’t expect too much from the amenities, as the hotel is half the price of others with similar facilities—which is why it’s a good option😊

The breakfast buffet had limited options but was still decent —- They have a section where you can ask a staff member to cook an egg/omelet for you, but I didn’t explore the other options (breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is great if you have early morning plans, as it gets really hot once the sun rises during this month)….

The hotel has a gym, sauna, and pool. The room includes a TV, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, and complimentary water and coffee…..

The only downside was that hot water is not available 24 hours during my stay…. According to the receptionist, hot water is available only during specific hours to adhere to electricity conservation, if I’m not mistaken.. (if I’m not mistaken, starting from 9 AM, but I’m not sure until when) as they have I only realized this when I was about to shower around 8:30 PM and found that only cold water was available. I called the receptionist, and they sent housekeeping to assist…. I’m not sure if it’s a temporary thing only so if you’re concern with this, you can message them first…

It’s still a good place to stay, even if it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, as Grab is available at a very reasonable price for getting to the places you want to visit.

Comfy room and big bathroom (the shower is amazing!). The WiFi is very unstable. There a lot of options for the breakfast, but the western section isn’t so good (at least they have bread and eggs). The YaYa’s menu is delicious, and the room service is fast. All the staff is very helpful.

A nice hotel, with friendly front desk staff. This hotel has an excellent gym, the breakfast is nice. Its close to St John's Mall.
