Great hotel overlooking the canal. Really nice to watch the boats go along the canal. Nearby to some attractions. Got a step staircase with no lifts ( normal for these types of buildings), made it difficult with a buggy. But there is a convenient storage room where you can leave the buggy on the first floor.

Visited in November 2018, the hotel was easy to find on google maps (we walked from a nearby bus station). A warm welcome on arrival, our room was on the ground floor with a view of the canal beside the hotel which was all we needed. We walked everywhere and never thought the hotel was too far away, easy to recognize at night due to the pretty bridge and bright red light on the roof which we could see from miles away. The breakfast was convenient although could have done with more pastries, and lacked warm food, (other than toast). Would recommend for first time visitors, DON'T forget to leave your key at the hotel when going out, we forgot once and got a telling off. There's a handy storage room where you can leave your bags after checking out If your flight is later in the day.
I would give 5 stars if the hotel provided guests with more information as to where the bars, coffee shops and famous tourist places were. We wanted to experience as much as possible but the atmosphere at reception implied we couldn't ask the questions which we wanted answers for. Maybe a leaflet/guide created by the hotel with a map attached listing all the cool bars, coffee shops and places like the sex museum etc would create a more relaxed relationship with visitors.

Simple and clean hotel with 24/7 service, located within 10-25 minutes of walking distance to anywhere. Offer typical breakfast that mostly consists of bread, yogurt and toppings (cheese, meat, vegetables) accomplished with hot beverage.

Very pleasant budget hotel, centrally located in Amsterdam. Our room had a great view over the canal, and we were within easy walking distance of rembrandt Square and Dam square. Would definitely stay here again. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly

A fantastic location and the view from the room (couldn't get enough of it) but rather outdated decor and expect the staff to chase after you if you hadn't left your key at the reception (takes me back to school trips when I was 10)
