I visited Urfa again in Jan. 2022 and stayed for 16 days in Akgöl hotel. The staff where changed they were very helpful, polite, and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but there was no soups! The rooms were clean and tidy. It is located in the city center near to bazar, super-markets, airport bus station, public transportation, and governmental organizations. I am going to thank all clients.

The Akgol has changed a lot since my first visit in 2017. It’s very dirty, and it has a very bad smell. Even the water in the shower has a smell. The carpet is nasty. I was afraid to take off my socks. The furniture needs to be replaced. The WiFi is slow. The breakfast doesn’t really have tea. They give you a small paper cup and hot water and a tea bag, but the only tea option was green. Other hotels in Turkey are serving real tea. Of course there’s a cafe next to the hotel, which has the same owner, and they are happy to sell you real tea or a better breakfast.

I stayed in November and I paid 21 euros for the night, and I would difently recommend this hotel, clean, perfect location, good value for the money, great breakfast with an amazing view from terrace on the 8th floor.

I will come back for sure.

The hotel wasn't that bad but the personal was awful... we stayed there one night, my aunt wanted a "seççade" but instead we received 3 extra hotel-slippers..? Also the next morning when we wanted to check out and said what we took from the mini bar, they tried to convince us that we had also taken some choccolate but we knew well that we had not.. Maybe tze personal was hungry or some kind if mistake happened but they really wantes the money for the sweets.
Sorry but would not reccomend, there are for sure some better hotels in urfa.
