The room felt quite old, and some of the facilities and amenities were not well-maintained. It definitely falls short of what I'd expect from a 5-star hotel.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Overnight the bathroom flooded due to a leaked pipe. I slipped in the bathroom when I went in at 6am hitting my shoulder. The manager came quickly to resolve it.

Great hotel - close to the airport, attached to Dubai Festival Mall, room was comfortable and clean, amenities like the pool were wonderful. Was originally thrilled that the lobby has a Starbucks, but the only downside was the price gouging ($11 US for a coffee).

When traveling abroad, I often opt for a branded hotel for that standardized experience. This one was exactly that – no surprises, good or bad. The hotel is not new, but the rooms are in good condition. We had a club room with lounge access, and the staff was excellent. There are some minor issues: the constant blaring music on the beach, with different sounds on both sides, and a new building under construction on the property.

The staff is very varied in their treatment and they do not say things in a concrete and true way, for example: wait 5 minutes for such a thing and it is 15-20, etc.
