Khiva Siyovush Hotel in Khiva

We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel. The hosts could not have been more accommodating at this spotlessly clean hotel. The breakfasts were also great with a range of pastries, choice of eggs, yogurt, cheese, hams etc. The hotel also organised our early pick up from the airport. We had the three bed room which we booked because all the others were taken. At the hotel’s suggestion, they only charged us for the two of us. This room was very quiet but has limited views, I believe some of the rooms have a balcony.

Wonderful experience! Siyovush, the host and owner, was very friendly and interesting to talk to. The rooms were clean and the building stylish (lots of handmade details built my Siyovush and his father). The breakfast was plenty and tasty. Obviously, you can find some details here and there to complain about but for this money - forget the larger hotels, enjoy the local vibe and go for it!

Central location very close to the Main Street but quiet. Rooms are very large, spotless clean and well equipped. Good breakfast with some changes everyday and a very friendly and helpful owner. Ideal if you want to have a look of a real local house.

Fantastic small hotel. The owner is extremely kind, and he speaks a fluent English. He will do his best in helping to organise whatever needed by his guests: transfers, guided tours... Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is delicious. Highly recommended

The Khiva Siyovush Hotel is extremely convenient - inside the Ichan Qala, has a homey atmosphere and character. SERVICE: I didn't encounter bad service anywhere in Uzbekistan. I asked for my laundry done here, the cost was USD $3/kilo and it was washed and folded well. The proprietor, who also lived with his family there, spoke good English and was helpful. ROOM: The house itself is large, built round an internal atrium. The room on the second floor was smaller and simpler, with twin beds and a small balcony. Most beds in Uzbekistan are quite firm, which I happen to like. Complimentary water was provided. The only quibble, the room's decor was somewhat spartan and bland compared to the public areas. But considering the reasonable cost, great interior design is a lot to ask. BREAKFAST: Served in the dining area, like most Uzbek breakfasts, a spread of everything from fruits to sweets was on the table as you sat including breads, cakes and fruit. A hot entree varied by day; quality was good. WIFI: No issues PAYMENT: Cash only - but they make that clear. LOCATION AND SIGHTS: You're right in the old city, most attractions are a five minute walk (you need to go out the main gate to buy an entrance ticket to all the museums). I only spent one night in Khiva per recommendations on websites - I would have been fine with a second night to go more in depth.

Great hotel in a brilliant location. Run by a very helpful and friendly family. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast was an amazing array with delicious eggs and fresh coffee. Good WiFi available throughout. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very well located, inside Ichan Q’ala. Peaceful guesthouse with simple but clean bedrooms The owner was incredibly helpful, going out of his way to accommodate us. Breakfast was very good and varied (freshly cooked eggs, vegetables, nuts, pancakes etc)

I stayed at the Siyovush Hotel for three nights. What a wonderful place! Siyovush, the owner, is very helpful and friendly. It is clear that he cares about providing his guests with the best service and experience possible. He and his family have invested heavily in creating an inviting and memorable decor. Beautiful rugs (passed down by his grandmother) and other lovely textiles help embellish the hotel’s interior. Breakfast is satisfying. The hotel is a short walk from most of the town’s attractions. When I return to Khiva, I’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at Siyovush’s. The owner could not do enough for us, and we felt very welcomed throughout our stay. Air con was good and we also had some laundry done for 5$ which was very good. Bathroom was very clean (as was the bedroom). Highly recommend in Khiva - perfect location for walking inside the inner walls.
