Odysseus Hotel

Well.... coming to the end of 10 days at Odysseus and i've been very impressed. Very quiet hotel with a stunning square right outside it with numerous cafe restaurants and a 24hour shop and a 24hour kiosk also. Prices are fantastic, people are so nice whether strangers or within cafes etc.....bulgarian hospitality excellent!
Anyway back to the hotel..... this is my first visit to Bulgaria and ill definitely be back at the Odysseus again that's for sure, Stella, ilyana, mary and diana have been the best hosts i have ever encountered in europe, rooms are spotless and air conditioned, every day i have been asked if i wanted it changed or cleaned. There is a sauna, gym, sunbed, vending machines and restaurant.... there is also a smoking room on each floor, free wifi and it works perfectly and I'm on the top floor of hotel.
On my floor there is also an ironing board, kettle, microwave and fridge freezer.... all available to use but one thing i especially like is you can do your laundry and hang it up in the drying room..... don't be alarmed when you walk in and see a swallow or 2..... their nest is right above the door on top of fusebox.... stand and watch them for a few minutes.....fabulous honest! No where near the clothes lines either in case your wondering.....
Food has been fabulous, i'd take Diana home, her cooking is amazing.....i urge you to try her Carbonara...... id safely say is best i have tasted anywhere!..... bit of advice..... put google translate on your mobile and download the Bulgarian language pack..... this is one very handy tool in the hotel And makes life very very easy....lol.... little English spoken..... great if you don't want to hear Engerrrrlundddd sung every night..... nobody falling about drunk and no England football Tops to be seen until airport hahaha!
Rating it a 5 star is unfair..... I'd happily give it 10..... amazing job from everyone and i encourage you to visit svishtov...... it's a excellent place to stay even being near the Romanian border on the banks of the Danube!
It's not really a hotel to sunbathe at..... unless it has someplace and i didn't find it but...... flat roof would make an excellent sun patio.... oh and i think their installing a jacuzzi.... as i write this.
I'd advise is not suitable for wherlchair users unless the hotel offers ground floor rooms there is no elevator in the hotel.

Very clean hotel, good attitude from the staff, excellent location. I recommend!

Great hotel clean great quality. Stella is one of the best receptionists I've met in Bulgaria nothing is too much trouble only down side is no, lift if you have walking difficulties.
