We are so grateful for this place, it kept us warm and cosy during our stay at Shala river. We didn’t stay here but ended up eating here a few times and staying for hours. They opened up the whole place for us even when they were shut. We went in low season so ended up having some rainy days here. The staff are so friendly and the food is great!

Had a lovely time here. I accidentally got my boat time back wrong and the staff went above and beyond to help get me on another boat and back in time to continue my travels. And even gave me a beer for the journey… definitely reccomend

Nice place and good hotel. The service was tired and a bit arrogant after the season in the restaurants. In the morning at breakfast the service was nice and the breakfast was good. But the highlight of it all was that the owner has roosters at the hotel. They start crowing from 4.15 in the morning, so it was almost impossible to sleep. We don't understand how someone can have a hotel and at the same time keep roosters right next to the rooms.

Shala river was absolutely stunning and breathtaking! So glad to have been able to experience it at Blini! Was so cozy and comfortable, cabin vibes in the mountain. Delish food at the restaurant and great hospitality shoutout Ben and Christian!

Do yourself a favor and just look up the one star reviews if you’re looking to travel to shala river for enjoying the scenery in peace and like to actually sleep. Avoid like the plague if you plan on more than a day trip!

This place blasts the most obnoxious music all day and night long until midnight. I didn’t even stay here but next door at bee eco and was subjected to the torture nonstop. Earplugs or headphones would not work. They do it intentionally and as loud as possible evident from when they were confronted at 11 pm. Their response was that this is their country and the five people at the bar are enjoying it… while the rest of the valley filled with people just want to sleep and enjoy the scenery. They wreck a beautiful area for no reason other than because they feed off of terrorizing others. Never been to any country to encounter such blatantly vile and disgusting people, but thankfully, they’re not representative of most people in Albania. What a pathetic excuse for humans.. Never happier to leave an area faster!

Pros: Nice check in staff. Location is kinda cool if there was less trash and it was less crowded. Boat ride was good.

Cons:
Expensive. Power for the whole building went out. Internet is not stable. Roosters are dropping albums from 4am onwards constantly, very hard to sleep especially with thin walls. You'll hear pretty much all talking in the building. Shuttle ride out was nauseating and hot.

Overall: wouldn't recommend coming out here, it's half families in burqas not a private party or relaxing scene

I can’t say enough good things about this amazing family-run restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting—clearly a labor of love. You can tell this isn’t just a business to them; it’s a family legacy. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish tasted homemade and full of flavor, made with fresh, quality ingredients. You could tell they put care and tradition into every recipe. Whether you’re craving comfort food or something new, the menu has something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. You feel like you’re being welcomed into someone’s home, not just another table at a restaurant. Supporting a family-run restaurant like this is a joy. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why local businesses matter—they care about every detail and every guest. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we’ll be bringing friends and family with us. This gem is worth every visit!

Some private companies occupied a precious natural habitat and even if they could exploit this place for their own benefit - it is way worse than only that. If you want to enjoy this unique place be aware there is techno and pop music out of many loudspeakers louder than in any disco echoing through the gorge. There is loads of plastic trash, bottles without tethered cups and no one cares or reminds the thoughtless guests to use trash bins. When you go there by boat the company owner / guides are very friendly, no doubt. They built a wooden lodge as a restaurant and you can oply hope and presume that all the trash and faeces are properly disposed. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be the case. But the companies exploiting this natural habitat should comply with the side effects of their business like making the guests during the boat ride aware of the nature's vulnerability and to take trash with themselves. Also they should use an amount of the very good money they make to pay a garbage collection boat which goes along the shores of the lakes and along the surfaces. We counted endless plastic bottles, plastic trash and single flip flops floating on the water and being stranded on the shores. This could be huge marketing tool and I am very sure that 95% of the people would come to Park Blini for river bank and consume drinks and food also if there would be no crazy loud disco music which you have in any club and beach worldwide. It completely devalues this unique place way more than it deserves unfortunately.

We loved Lumi i Shales, especially after the day tourists were gone. The place was nice but quite expensive as everything was charged extra (all food, the boat trip etc). The room was clean apart from a few bugs which is normal for a cabin in the woods. We could leave our things at the bar after checkout. We recommed staying over night and enjoying the beautiful landscape.

To star´t this place is in amazing setting and the views are awesome. The water/river is crystal clear, turquoise but really chilling. There was plenty beds and umbrellas to relax if you will be able as the music they play all day and even till late at night is noisy like in amusement park. We did not used the room as we just set up the tents. We used the restaurant , the food was good and not expensive, menu consisting of soup, salad, french fries and grilled fish around 15€. But the staff super slow, bored, confused and not able to give proper info regarding the drinks and meal. They do have any drink and meals menu available. The owner is on the other hand very helpful he gave as the tips on short trekking around on the trails they make and signed, just around 15 min walk up the mounting is excellent viewing point on the river. They have also zip lining 10€ for about 350 meters ride. Single or double kayak can be rent to discover the dam/river. The place is very busy and touristy from 11:00 till 15:00 then it is quite if you forget the loud music.
