Hotel Summer Dream in Dhermi

My experience with Summer Dream Hotel in Dhërmi was disappointing, mainly due to their inflexible and unreasonable booking policy.

The hotel enforces a rule where you cannot book a room for just 1 or 2 nights, even if there are available rooms. They force you to stay for a longer minimum number of nights — a policy that is extremely rare, if not unheard of, in most parts of the world, but unfortunately still exists in some places in Albania.

This kind of system is not customer-friendly, lacks flexibility, and feels unfair, especially for travelers who are only planning a weekend trip or have a fixed itinerary. Tourism should adapt to the needs of the guest — not the other way around.

Moreover, this policy is often not communicated clearly upfront, so you’re only made aware of it when you actually try to make a reservation — leaving you with limited options and unnecessary frustration.

I truly hope the hotel management reconsiders this approach if they want to be competitive and respectful of guests’ time and needs.

Horrible road to get there, you are basically stuck if you do not have an SUV or similar. Horrible parking conditions, with construction nearby that made the car so dirty of mud and i do not know what else, that i think the paint is ruined. Clothes, towels were also super dirty after staying there for a week. Sea was also muddier than in other parts of the same coast.
Staff was friendly and helpful, and cooking was great. I saw the owners however very rudely yell at the staff during service, pretty typical..
At least we could have gotten a heads up to cover the car, or be informed on the horrible quality of the road before making the reservation. They did not care. Huge damage.

Def. not recomend, at least until the road is finished.

Spent the day in the sunbeds. Ordered wine a few times and we were overcharged the first time from the person in charge of the sunbeds. Brought this up with the manager in charge - he got self defensive and passive aggressive instead of just apologising. However the service from the waiters at the restaurant was friendly and the food was fresh.

BIG NO.Unfortunately, my experience with this host was very disappointing. When I arrived, the host was unprepared and seemed to have forgotten about my reservation. I received no help in finding the location of the apartment, and communication was poor throughout. In the end, the host canceled my booking at the last moment, which left me in a very difficult situation. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience — travelers deserve better treatment and reliability.

I only booked this hotel because it was promoting a view on the beach and relaxing time…away from all the crowded places. In real there is everywhere around the hotel only construction work and dust from the sand. If you can handle this it’s a nice place as described by others. I would not have booked this place if I would have known this before. THEY DID NOT OFFER STORNO OR ANYTHING
