We stopped in a small town on our way from Sydney to Melbourne. It was a resort hotel, and since we were there a while ago, it wasn't as luxurious. It had a swimming pool and offered a different experience. There was also a delicious steakhouse in town with a lot of local flavor.

We had a fantastic stay at the Siesta Hotel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Every team member went out of their way to help, whether it was answering questions, offering local recommendations, or making sure everything was just right during our stay.

The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere that really lives up to the name “Siesta.” The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully set up, making it easy to unwind and feel at home. Everything worked perfectly, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

What truly sets the Siesta Hotel apart is its staff. Their kindness, efficiency, and positive energy made a big difference and turned a good stay into a great one. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their guests.

We would highly recommend the Siesta Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a stress-free stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Sadly,for us Siesta missed the mark.
We were definitely motivated by the photos, in particular of the pool,however,the resort is very tired and could be cleaner,very much in need òf a pretty decent refurbishment.
Our room was renovated to a point however the surrounds including the steps,balcony,externals were quite dirty.
Biggest positive for us was the staff,in particular at breakfast-breakfast with a smile and very friendly and attentative.
Honestly, the resort is not commensurate with the price point,my opinion is that it's between 40-50% over what it should be given the location and overall condition,yes it has plenty of facilities but is in a poor state,sorry.

My family and I stayed at this resort over the New Year period. Initially, our experience was very positive and we were genuinely enjoying our stay.

Unfortunately, this changed abruptly when the owner approached us in an extremely intimidating and confrontational manner, in front of our children, without any prior warning or attempt at respectful communication. We were told that we were not welcome to return in the future, despite having intended to book again next year. At no point were we asked to reduce noise or given any warning whatsoever, something we would have immediately complied with had it been requested.

What was particularly distressing was not only the aggressive nature of the interaction, but the fact that the owner’s behaviour felt targeted and discriminatory. The manner in which we were spoken to left us feeling that we were treated differently because of who we are, which we believe amounted to racially motivated behaviour. This was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable.

The encounter caused significant distress to our children, leaving them frightened and shaken for the remainder of the night. This was incredibly disappointing, as we chose this resort for a family holiday with the intention of relaxing and welcoming the new year positively after a long year of hard work.

We consider ourselves a respectful family and strongly believe this situation could and should have been handled privately, calmly, and professionally. Instead, it was unnecessarily confrontational, intimidating, and left a lasting negative impact on what was meant to be a joyful family experience.

My Daughter and I stayed here for one night. We were in room 17, a basic 2 queen bedroom with bathroom. The aircon remote was broken, so the aircon had to run manually so I couldn't control the temperature and room was quite warm. Then to have a shower we had to hold the shower head so it would stay in the right spot. After talking to reception they were very accommodating and moved as to a very nice 2 bedroom apartment and gave us a free breakfast. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The pool and spas were amazing and great food in the restaurants.

Arranged a getaway for our family and this resort is incredible. With an indoor pool and outdoor pool it can operate in any weather but what sets this great place apart is there theming. Spas in hats and hidden caves, old school jumping rock platform, waterslides, tennis courts, mini golf and so much more. There is no need to leave the resort as it is a holiday in itself and great location and destination. Also the staff go above and beyond and are so great. Highly recommended especially for family’s

Excellent food; the menu is varied enough but not overwhelming, there is a separate drinks waiter so my glass was never empty, the seafood was cooked perfectly. Plus live soft piano accompaniment in the background. The decor is clean but slightly outdated - it really could do with a makeover. Still I give 5 stars because of the food!

Yes the steak is outstanding, actually as a beef farmer one of the best cooked Porterhouse I have ever had. A very close second. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the sauce should be served separate to the steak. The steak was a bit drowned in a very strong sauce. I would prefer to add myself to my specs not the chefs. Great service and atmosphere.

Great steaks, excellent service, it is a must if you are a steak lover and in Albury. I always call in here when I visit Albury....that is every four weeks!!
