Novotel Darwin Airport, Darwin1 / 30

Darwin, 1 & 2 Sir Norman Brearly Drive, Marrara (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Mercure Darwin was excellent with free parking right out the front. The room was very spacious for the price. Thank ypu
Room was big, clean and new. It is very near the airport. I had meetings at the airport.
Everything was fine but there are moulds everywhere
The Mercure is the pick of the Darwin Airport hotels and they capitalize on their airport location by cranking up the price. Also our flight came into Darwin after midnight and the airport shuttle phone number they provided was unanswered so we endured the 9 minute walk from the airport with our cases. Checked in about 1:00 and requested a late check out. The hotel had plenty of availability but they...
I landed late so needed somewhere convenient to sleep and this place did that. There were staff working to check me in around 1am and that all went smoothly. The room was nice and spacious but a bit noisy as could hear everything outside. Gorgeous pool and cafe area but the breakfast and coffee was expensive
Only few minutes from Darwin Airport. Perfect for transit. The hotel provides pick up and shuttle bus for 24/7, very convenient

Mantra on the Esplanade, Darwin1 / 30
8.3
Darwin, 88 The Esplanade (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We appreciated the hotel giving us an early check in (2 hrs) and late checkout (2 hrs). The room is really so so, limited to 2 bath towels for the stay (no room service during our 4-day stay), we had to get (beg) for extra towels at the front desk. WiFi is spotty, maybe because the hotel is an apartment/hotel complex therefore bandwidth is limited. Wish the room has more clothes hangers and a safe...
Nice big apartment style room with separate bedroom. Great location. Main restaurant ***** close by. Walkable distance to the waterfront development. Only problem was the aircon was a bit too efficient. Could only set fan speed. Was uncomfortably cold.
Overall my stay in one of the hotel rooms was comfortable enough. But to have no onsite guest laundry was annoying. The lighting in the room would describe as 'mood lighting'. There was a lamp on each side of the bed, a lamp on the desk and one dim downlight above the bedhead, but no central ceiling mounted light.
Happy with the location and service but disappointed restaurant is closed
With just a little cleaning and fixing things that are broken this would be great. The Aircon in the bedroom didn’t work and made terrible noise, and the lovely hotel attendant was going to check if a different room was available but in the three days we were there never got back to us and always said she’d let us know. The sink faucet handle had to be held together to use or it fell off. I hurt...
Mantra on the Esplanade worked well for us for the three nights we stayed. Close to the main shops and eateries so plenty of choice there, with a free bus to the large out of town shopping centre too. The room was clean and tidy though a little dated. We were at the back of the hotel which meant the music and noise from the pubs and clubs nearby could be heard til quite late though it didn’t keep...

Hilton Darwin, Darwin1 / 30

Darwin, 32 Mitchell Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
No mini bar or snacks, pool area uninspiring. Breakfast good. Room acceptable but dusty and no satellite TV. Annoyingly no. Annoyingly no body wash in pump bottle too. They did send up a complimentary (cheap and nasty) bottle of wine and fruit. Nice staff though.
Just wanted to say Janisha on the front desk was so helpful with my eye condition allowing me to have my eye mask heated up every morning and every night so caring. Always smiling and asking about the customers welfare wondering young women. Dipesh also another incredible human being helping me with setting up my tv as I was struggling to set it up what a beautiful nature nothing was a problem for...
Hilton Hotels are deserving of their reputation. Hilton Darwin is an excellent property providing guests with an above average accomodation experience. During the wet season room service may be lacking but understandable because the occupancy rate is well down. Nevertheless the breakfast is in line with a hotel of the calibre. The facilities are clean and well maintained.
It is a nice place. The rooms are very wonderful. I was unfortunate in that my view was blocked by the neighbors across the road. Nothing to do about that. I personally found the room too cold, maybe I am used to a warmer climate. The servers were friendly and very helpful. Of you have a concern or a problem be nice to the hosts they will do great thing for you of your polite. Breakfast was amazing...
It’s very conveniently located, customer service is excellent, the only thing negative is the service, sometimes they are bit slow but coffee is wonderful, I won’t hesitate to stay here again.
Great hotel in the centre of Darwin. I attended a conference and stayed 5 nights in total. Close to everything and excellent as a base. This is definitely the best Hilton in Darwin. (Be aware the 'other' one isnt so great...) The staff all went above and beyond. I loved the thoughtful text received shortly after I checked in from Oswaldo asking if I was happy with everything. He was incredibly helpful...

We checked in at Oaks Elan on 21 November 2025, the day before Cyclone Fina hit Darwin. My husband and I were impressed how the staff kept us informed of what was happening. During breakfast on 22 November, we were told by the manager that the restaurant will be closed until further notice because they have to let the staff go home to be with the family when cyclone hit. We were told to pack whatever...
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and understanding. My suite was on a high floor with an unbeatable sea view. The balcony offered unobstructed sunset views. The suite also had kitchen facilities and utensils, as well as a washer, dryer, and iron.
Great place to stay. Location was great. The rim had everything we needed. Staff were helpful.
No daily cleaning service and extremely slow Internet.
The room is fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator, making it convenient for grocery shopping and easily preparing breakfast and dinner in the room.
Excellent position, great view, clean & fresh look forward to going to the Oaks again.

Very disorganized cehck in and reception staff .. the food for breakfast is poor.
Excellent apartment, everything you need! Nice pool and alfresco area. Unfortunately you do need a car if you’re going to get around Darwin itself as it’s too far out of the city centre for many of the major attractions and markets without.
Great facilities, staff, and affordable, could not fault anything, would stay again.
Great stay easy to find and great undercover free parking. Beautiful pool and dining . Highly recommend.
As soon as you walk in the staff freak you with the big smile love the distro meals were great didn’t go into pool. I just looked at it because it was pretty windy out there but now other than that it was very very nice place to stay I definitely do it again Thanks a lot.
Comfy and quiet, house keeping staff were very helpful and friendly, some of front desk staff not so helpful, restaurant was nice and staff were friendly

Great hotel with secure car park. Quiet and super clean, with comfortable bed, and decent kitchen. I will make this my go to place to stay when I’m in Darwin for work.
Clean, comfortable and spacious. They rang us on the day and were very helpful.
Easy check in, clean and tidy. Just a tad noisey as you can hear people walking and talking in the other rooms and hallway.
Friendly and clean, but our room was overlooking a noisy road, restaurant on site has a varied menu but closed at 9pm
The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming and make check in/out easy. The rooms are neat and clean and comfortable and having the mini kitchenette makes it a breeze
Good place to stay close to food and taxis weren't a problem, top spot if your going to hidden valley race way or speedway

Very nice view, very nice room and everything should be find. My check in was very quick and helpful.  Many thanks.
Noisy neighbours. One family next to me was just staying that night to make a kind of “party”. No noise restrictions. Other guest was yelling all night and day without any kind of attention call. The room was ok for the value but the feeling of insecurity is not acceptable. Looks like the local people took over the hotel. Reception ceiling big a huge penetration above the receptionist making a very...
Clean room, friendly helpful staff good balcony to watch the cyclone effects from!
Greated respectively and courteously when i arrived. Staff member couldn't have been any more helpful. All staff were friendly during the stay. The room was perfect self contained and clean and roomy. Would stay again on next visit.
The shower could have been cleaner, but the rooms were overall nice, the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Super comfortable bed. A large livable style apartment complete with all the necessary appliances. Optional daily or as you require room make up.. Bus interchange next door.

Room was clean. And has everything you need to be self-contained. Staff are helpful. Is quiet this time of year. More than happy with it.
Thank you for your hospitality. Whilst I didn't actually interact with any of the staff or use the pool. My stay was everything I needed. I arrived after the office had closed and the instructions on how to get my keys were easy to follow and I had no problems accessing my room. I checked out before the office had opened, but again the process to drop off the keys was easy. The room was tidy. I enjoyed...
We stayed for three nights and we were very happy with our cabin. Very clean and spacious cabin. Location was perfect. Excellent value for the money. Highly recommended to others. We did not use the pool.
We have been back every year for the last four years and absolutley love staying at the Discovery Park in Winnielie. Its central to Darwin and Palmerston, the two bedroom superior cabins have everything we need for three travellers. Will be back next year.
Look for what it is everything was fine. The pools were nice but on the small side. The cabins were what we needed they were nice and cool. We worked out that after staying here we’re more hotel people than caravan park people!!
Property very close to Darwin airport and RAAF base, aircraft noise could be a problem Theres not a little if shade in caravan site area.Swimming pools play area and jumping pillow good for families. We hired 2 bedroom place which had a separate room accessed via internal door. No lounge and only a small table in each room. Highly recommended for Darwin stay for its location and services. Additionally enjoyed very much the duo live band on Sunday too. The only complaint I would have is the stairs to the room. But the staff was kind to help with our luggage.
This time, I stayed in a completely different room from the first time, and I have to say I love it. Quite from the live singing, full wifi, newly renovated.

If you are travelling on a budget but looking for a place to stay that is still good, this hotel fits the bill. I definitely felt like I got more than what I paid for. The only downside is that the walls are not soundproof and they do play music quite loud into the night so you will want to bring some earplugs if you are an early sleeper.
The communal kitchen and the complete utensils are all one needed to cook the food they want. The location is superb with a few minutes walk from the bus terminal, supermarkets and waterfront attractions. For those who love live music and pubbing, it's all available in the hotel.

Quality Hotel Darwin Airport, Darwin1 / 18

Darwin, 225 McMillans Rd (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was certainly not worth the money. The fan was dirty and only had 2 settings, barely moving or flat out. The toilet was running when the neighbours used theirs. The screen door to the balcony was off its track and was nearly impossible to open. On the balcony were faded chairs, what is normal with our sun. Somebody put covers on them but only sort of halfway. The WiFi was so incredible slow...
The free shuttle was very handy, but the room was both comfortable and very clean. Staff were so helpful with booking of the van provided for transport to the airport.
Quality hotel Darwin Useful shuttle service but quite a walk and not obvious how to get to it. Room good, quiet, clean. Isolated position so only good for brief overnight stays. No restaurant but bistro next door was good value and quality.
The room was clean, the facilities met my needs, and the free airport shuttle service was great!
Darwin in August Loved having the tavern next door. The pool needed some attention - lots of leaves and a green hue that looked unhealthy.
The outside presentation was dated, and could have done with a clean up of the leaf litter left laying around

Easy on site parking, Air cons were great and all around room very good. Staff were excellent.
Love the location. The view is pretty. But unfortunately the place is in desperate need for cleaning and updating. Curtains all stained with brown substances, paint peeling, dirty dishes in cupboards, soap scum and someone else’s bosy sponge in shower. Not enough tissues or toilet paper, uncomfortable couch and mattress, finger marks on walls, doors, cupboards. Mirror de silvering, no foxtel/tv channels...
Room was clean and reception staff were helpful and polite. Room had everything I needed in a convenient location.
Room was nice and lean, linen crisp a d proper white, stretched tight . Front desk kindly let me check in a bit earlier earlier, about 1pm, as i was feeling unwell. Pool nice. Only issue was la k of parking. Next time i come tto stay, and i sure will, ill park on arrival, and takean uber to go out for dinner.😁
Great location, beautiful sea view, convenient transportation
Location great and room pricing good for the facility however on this visit some items in the room did not work and need to be repaired. TV in lounge room and lights in bedroom. Otherwise all good.

Extremely Dirty – No Daily Cleaning at All + Good attitude
This is a fabulous place, ten out of ten. I was booked for a week but it's been so hot in Darwin I hadn't managed to do very much so I extended for another week. The apartments have kitchens with utensils, pots, etc, and there is a Woolworths just five minutes walk up the road for groceries. The #4 bus runs past the place so it's easy to get around if you don't have a car. The manager and other staff...
It had everything we needed for an overnight stay 😊
We only stayed here for one night. We arrived very early hours of the morning and the instructions for accessing the premises and room were excellent. There is a very nice walk to do along the path of Nightcliff with nice views over the sea and especially the rocks on...
Affordable price, nice nights sleep! Good bed!
The manager was very welcoming and friendly. The service she provided was 10/10. However, the after hour care taker was not helpful. The hair dryer I received was spoilt so when I asked for another one, she advised there were none. Was able to get another one from the reception the following day. Location was convenient because we hired a car. Not safe to be walking alone at night. The room was a...

Good clean apartment room, laundry and enough kitchen stuff to cook at home but with a good pub across the road didnt need to use it Very convenient to everyhing
I was not happy that the outside area of the room was not cleaned up, there were empty beer bottles/cans, and filthy cigarette butts on the ground. All I could smell was stale cigarettes and cigarette smoke everywhere.
I loved the pool, the fact that they provided clean towels everyday.
Cockroaches in my room, I killed 5 of them. The bed was clean. But the overall infrastructure is rundown. Water leaked from the shower onto the bathroom floor. Would not come back unfortunately, even though staff was friendly and courteous.
A short walk to the city centre. Lovely pool area. Very nice staff. Good amenities in the room. Plenty of parking.

Room and facilities were great. Stayed here many time with the family and will come again. Lots of room
Rooms & complex were clean & tidy. Only bins for rubbish were outside the complex. Red bin in bbq area wasnt emptied, even though it was full, the staff were going through taking out cans. Same as the bin in the pool area. More bins clearly maked cans/bottles & general rubbish would be a good improvement. This would not stop me from further stays in the future.

a nice clean place. very spacious with everything you need inside
I loved the location and apartments, especially the pool. Some of the rooms have been renovated, such as kitchen and laundry. Booked this apartment fora family trip for the Xmas period. Check in was streamline and straightforward. Apartment was clean & roomy. One the second day we noticed aircon in main bedroom and one of the other bedrooms weren’t working and apartment was becoming stuffy as a result.
