I landed late so needed somewhere convenient to sleep and this place did that. There were staff working to check me in around 1am and that all went smoothly. The room was nice and spacious but a bit noisy as could hear everything outside. Gorgeous pool and cafe area but the breakfast and coffee was expensive

Only few minutes from Darwin Airport. Perfect for transit. The hotel provides pick up and shuttle bus for 24/7, very convenient

We appreciated the hotel giving us an early check in (2 hrs) and late checkout (2 hrs). The room is really so so, limited to 2 bath towels for the stay (no room service during our 4-day stay), we had to get (beg) for extra towels at the front desk. Nice big apartment style room with separate bedroom. Great location. Main restaurant ***** close by. Walkable distance to the waterfront development. Only problem was the aircon was a bit too efficient. Could only set fan speed. Was uncomfortably cold.

Overall my stay in one of the hotel rooms was comfortable enough. But to have no onsite guest laundry was annoying. The lighting in the room would describe as 'mood lighting'. There was a lamp on each side of the bed, a lamp on the desk and one dim downlight above the bedhead, but no central ceiling mounted light.

With just a little cleaning and fixing things that are broken this would be great. The Aircon in the bedroom didn’t work and made terrible noise, and the lovely hotel attendant was going to check if a different room was available but in the three days we were there never got back to us and always said she’d let us know. Mantra on the Esplanade worked well for us for the three nights we stayed. Close to the main shops and eateries so plenty of choice there, with a free bus to the large out of town shopping centre too. The room was clean and tidy though a little dated. Hilton Hotels are deserving of their reputation. Hilton Darwin is an excellent property providing guests with an above average accomodation experience. During the wet season room service may be lacking but understandable because the occupancy rate is well down. Nevertheless the breakfast is in line with a hotel of the calibre. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

It is a nice place. The rooms are very wonderful. I was unfortunate in that my view was blocked by the neighbors across the road. Nothing to do about that. I personally found the room too cold, maybe I am used to a warmer climate. The servers were friendly and very helpful. Of you have a concern or a problem be nice to the hosts they will do great thing for you of your polite. Breakfast was amazing...

It’s very conveniently located, customer service is excellent, the only thing negative is the service, sometimes they are bit slow but coffee is wonderful, I won’t hesitate to stay here again.

We checked in at Oaks Elan on 21 November 2025, the day before Cyclone Fina hit Darwin. My husband and I were impressed how the staff kept us informed of what was happening. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and understanding. My suite was on a high floor with an unbeatable sea view. The balcony offered unobstructed sunset views. The suite also had kitchen facilities and utensils, as well as a washer, dryer, and iron.

Excellent apartment, everything you need! Nice pool and alfresco area. Unfortunately you do need a car if you’re going to get around Darwin itself as it’s too far out of the city centre for many of the major attractions and markets without.

The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming and make check in/out easy. The rooms are neat and clean and comfortable and having the mini kitchenette makes it a breeze

Greated respectively and courteously when i arrived. Staff member couldn't have been any more helpful. All staff were friendly during the stay. The room was perfect self contained and clean and roomy. Would stay again on next visit.

We stayed for three nights and we were very happy with our cabin. Very clean and spacious cabin. Location was perfect. Excellent value for the money. Highly recommended to others. We did not use the pool.

We have been back every year for the last four years and absolutley love staying at the Discovery Park in Winnielie. Its central to Darwin and Palmerston, the two bedroom superior cabins have everything we need for three travellers. Will be back next year.

Look for what it is everything was fine. The pools were nice but on the small side. The cabins were what we needed they were nice and cool. We worked out that after staying here we’re more hotel people than caravan park people!!

Highly recommended for Darwin stay for its location and services. Additionally enjoyed very much the duo live band on Sunday too. The only complaint I would have is the stairs to the room. But the staff was kind to help with our luggage.

If you are travelling on a budget but looking for a place to stay that is still good, this hotel fits the bill. I definitely felt like I got more than what I paid for. The only downside is that the walls are not soundproof and they do play music quite loud into the night so you will want to bring some earplugs if you are an early sleeper.

The communal kitchen and the complete utensils are all one needed to cook the food they want. The location is superb with a few minutes walk from the bus terminal, supermarkets and waterfront attractions. For those who love live music and pubbing, it's all available in the hotel.

The room was certainly not worth the money. The fan was dirty and only had 2 settings, barely moving or flat out. The toilet was running when the neighbours used theirs. The screen door to the balcony was off its track and was nearly impossible to open. On the balcony were faded chairs, what is normal with our sun. The free shuttle was very handy, but the room was both comfortable and very clean. Staff were so helpful with booking of the van provided for transport to the airport.

Quality hotel Darwin Useful shuttle service but quite a walk and not obvious how to get to it. Room good, quiet, clean. Isolated position so only good for brief overnight stays. No restaurant but bistro next door was good value and quality.

Darwin in August Loved having the tavern next door. The pool needed some attention - lots of leaves and a green hue that looked unhealthy.

This is a fabulous place, ten out of ten. I was booked for a week but it's been so hot in Darwin I hadn't managed to do very much so I extended for another week. I was not happy that the outside area of the room was not cleaned up, there were empty beer bottles/cans, and filthy cigarette butts on the ground. All I could smell was stale cigarettes and cigarette smoke everywhere.

I loved the pool, the fact that they provided clean towels everyday.

Cockroaches in my room, I killed 5 of them. The bed was clean. But the overall infrastructure is rundown. Water leaked from the shower onto the bathroom floor. Would not come back unfortunately, even though staff was friendly and courteous.

Rooms & complex were clean & tidy. Only bins for rubbish were outside the complex. Red bin in bbq area wasnt emptied, even though it was full, the staff were going through taking out cans. Same as the bin in the pool area. More bins clearly maked cans/bottles & general rubbish would be a good improvement. This would not stop me from further stays in the future.

Location was close to the CBD and an easy walk to the bus terminal. Our unit was very spacious and clean. It was also excellent to have the full kitchen and dishwasher. My daughter, grandkids and I were delighted that we chose Argus for our stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Argus Apartments. The 3 bedroom apartment was clean, reception and housekeeping staff were very friendly and happy to attend to any requests we had! Would definitely stay again!!

Very quiet and solid building. Withstood cyclone Tracey in 1974. Old but partly renovated. Budget accommodation. Comfortable bed. Receptionist/Cleaner was very nice. It was windy for the time we were there and the pool only got cleaned the day before we left.

We enjoyed out stay as the room had everything that we needed for our stay. The air conditioning worked well as it was still very hot even in early june.
