Fujian West Lake Hotel in Fuzhou

I had a fantastic experience at the Fujian West Lake Hotel. While all the staff were amazing throughout my stay, I have to give a special callout to the Cleaning and Room Attendants—they were truly exceptional and provided service that went above and beyond.

The location is perfect. It’s close to Pingshan Metro, West Lake, and the historic 3 Lanes and 7 Alleys, yet it remains quiet and peaceful. I was lucky enough to have a room with a great view of West Lake, which made the stay even more special.

This hotel has a more traditional, Chinese-focused atmosphere, which I really appreciated. I would stay here again without hesitation. Don’t miss the breakfast restaurant—it is well worth it!

The staff were incredibly dedicated and always ready to help, answering all questions and promptly resolving any issues. Their hospitality truly deserves praise! The environment is beautiful and pleasant, very comfortable and convenient. Parking was also easy. Highly recommended!

After a lot of looking, I still find that older, well-established hotels are more reliable. The day before, I stayed at the Sandi Hilton, but they raised the price when I wanted to extend my stay. I saw this place for under 400 yuan, and it even included breakfast. The staff and front desk were all very welcoming and even gave me a late check-out.

The Xihu Hotel is right next to Fuzhou's West Lake, offering beautiful scenery. It's not far from Sanfang Qixiang and the transportation is very convenient. The hotel lobby is grand, and they offer complimentary tea. The staff are very welcoming and polite. When checking out, they proactively asked for feedback on the hotel, inquiring about any shortcomings, which was very courteous and friendly.

This hotel is an absolute gem, and I had a fantastic experience!.

When I first booked, I considered it an established local hotel with a great location, and I wanted to check it out. The price was also excellent, so I didn't have high expectations compared to typical five-star hotels. To my surprise, every aspect exceeded my expectations.

**Environment:** It's located right by West Lake, so you can enjoy beautiful lake views every time you come and go.

**Location:** It's within walking distance of Sanfang Qixiang and the Daming Food Festival.

**Facilities:** The decor is very cozy and clean. Although some small decorative items have a vintage feel (like the adorable old-fashioned alarm clock by the bed), every item and appliance is very clean and works perfectly, which is super important. What truly deserves praise is their shower room – the water flow is strong, the temperature control is very responsive, and the showerhead pressure is just right, surpassing many five-star hotels. Additionally, the quality of their toiletries is excellent, and the toothbrushes are noticeably better than disposable ones.

**Service:** Upon check-in, I received welcome fruits and snacks, including local specialty olives, all thoughtfully packaged. The front desk staff and servers were all incredibly nice, always greeting me. On my checkout day, it happened to be my birthday, and they even offered special birthday wishes, which really won me over. I was already planning to give this place a five-star review, but now I want to praise it even more extensively. If I visit again, I'll definitely stay here.

**One more tip:** Because the entire West Lake Grand Hotel complex is very large, it's easy to go to the wrong entrance if it's your first time. Just set your GPS to the 'VIP Building' of West Lake Grand Hotel.

To sum it all up after saying so much: It's not one of those trendy, high-tech hotels, but if you're looking for cleanliness, comfort, and quality, you definitely can't go wrong with this place.

The hotel is in excellent location. It is walking distance to West Lake and the famous tourist spot San Fang Qi Xiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys). The property is a bit different from the other hotels we stayed in China - more westernized. If you are used to American hotels, you will feel right at home.

The room is spacious and very clean. The air conditioning is central rather than just the room so the air quality was excellent. The staff is nice and friendly. We were a bit disappointed that there was no onsite self-service laundry facilities like other Chinese hotels we stayed in. However, we were at the end of our trip so it was ok. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the convenience of location and cleanliness of the property.

The hotel is inexpensive. We included buffet breakfast. Dinner buffet is very good and much cheaper compare to eating at restaurants outside.
Hotel service people are very helpful and friendly.

The service are very good, food is delicious, the beautiful location…I like to live this hotel, next time, I will book it again😊😊😊
