Hotel De Royce

Shaoguan, No 19 Qiming North Road (3 km from centre) 🧭

I imagine this would have been a very nice hotel when it opened, but 20 years and 20,000 cigarettes have been pretty rough on the place. Our shower didn't drain, toilet would run endlessly after every flush, and the carpet, walls, and really every other surface is spotted with stains. That being said, linen was clean, bed was comfortable, check in was quick and easy, and the hotel is located a very...

A 5 star hotel turned into a 2 star one. The staff are not much interested in work and take a very long time to check in I was not able to connect to WiFi as I don’t have a ID verified number to receive OTP. So I asked the hotel staff if anything can be done about it And the response was a No The cleaner lady was very polite and would even press the lift button for me The hotel is in a great location...

The room was well-equipped, the mattress was perfect for me, the service was attentive, and it was very quiet.

The room was excellent, very grand, and had a vintage feel; it was a very prestigious luxury five-star hotel from over a decade ago. The decor and facilities reflected this vintage atmosphere. The water pressure from the taps was strong and plentiful, and the drains were unclogged and odorless. The location was also excellent, offering views of the century-old Dongjie Street and the Beijiang River...

I always choose to stay at this hotel when I visit Shaoguan. My relatives and friends live in this area, so the location is excellent for me. There are plenty of parking spaces, and even during holidays when parking is scarce, the hotel makes special arrangements to solve the parking problem for drivers. I will definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel is easy to find, close to the pedestrian street, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, clean, and tidy. The bathroom has no odor, and the buffet breakfast is plentiful and excellent. Highly recommended.

Country Garden Phoenix Hotel

Shaoguan, Inside Wuliting Country Garden, Zhenjiang District (4 km from centre) 🧭

Booked this as a resort experience to break up our trip. Sadly there was no water in the pool and it looked like it hadn't been used in quite some time. I think for the price it was disappointing and you can find something a lot nicer.

Free parking and a quiet location, nestled against the mountains. Check-in was very quick, and the lobby is stunning, reminiscent of the Venetian in Las Vegas. The room was quite spacious, and the large bed was very comfortable. Sliding open the door revealed a pool and lush green gardens. A very good value for money hotel.

The hotel's environment and hygiene are meticulously maintained, creating an elegant and pleasant atmosphere. The public area corridors are perfect for photos. It's conveniently located with easy access to dining, drinking, and transportation. There's a self-service laundry room and a gym, and parking is free with plenty of spaces. A big plus is the electric vehicle charging stations, which was very...

The front desk staff were very polite and proactively upgraded my room, which was a pleasant surprise. The complimentary chilled dessert soup was delicious, and they mentioned it was freshly prepared by the hotel chef that day. Overall, I was satisfied with the room; it was a balcony room with a nice view, and the air conditioning worked great. The facilities were well-maintained, and the room was...

The front desk staff were friendly and responsive to our needs. The bed was soft and comfortable, and very wide, perfect for a deep sleep. The toiletries were also of good quality. Overall, the hotel service was very thoughtful; they provided 6 free bottles of mineral water in the room, which was a nice touch! Superb!

My stay was very comfortable. The room and lobby were clean and beautiful, and the front desk service was excellent; check-in was very quick.

Ramada Plaza Shaoguan City Centre

Shaoguan, 1 Jiefang Road (2 km from centre) 🧭

Very nice hotel with good location, breakfast and services.

Hotel room is nice and clean. The location is very convenient. You can walk along the river just next to the hotel. It's a good way to explore the historical sites of Shauguan. The Shaoguangdong train station and bus terminal is less than 10 minutes walk across the bridge

Very good location. Nice hotel, spacious room. Great services. Drawbacks are no travel services, and no washing machines.

Very nice facility and excellent service

Got upgraded to the river view room ❤️ travelled solo to hike Danxiashang, discovered Shaoguan is a very nice city. Hotel is connected to a mall with lots of fashion brands (not ultra luxury ones but local high end brands either original design)!!! Has delivery robots for takeout orders. Clean room with no smoke smell. Grand lobby.

convenient location, many restaurant around, close to downtown area
