Great place, this is a 4 star hotel but I review it the 5 star for the quality.
The hotel itself is cozy. Buffet breakfast is also served. The staff are helpful whenever you need anything, anytime. However, you'll need to use a translator (I used Google Translate) to talk to them in Traditional Chinese as very few of them speaks and understands English.
The food they serve for breakfast are good and so are what's on their menu. One of my favorites is their Hot and Sour Soup...

Very new and clean room. We got a room in the new building. The hotel lives up to its name, an old reputable brand. It is in a central location, next to Nanning train station, Chaoyang square and San Jie Liang Xiang.

The centrally located hotel was convenient for us and ideal for one night while transferring from the train to the plane. The air conditioning was very helpful for given typical temperatures in Nanning. The area itself is busy and, unfortunately, not the cleanest. You can reach the river area in south direction in a few minutes by metro.

My colleague and I specifically chose Marriott for our business trip, but after checking in, we weren't offered a fruit platter. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator, there was a strong musty and dusty smell from the carpets. The room itself felt a bit dated.
