Baška Beach Camping Resort by Valamar

We spent 9 nights in Vela Bay mobile home for a second time (we were there already last year). We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children, so this kind of accommodation is exactly what we need.
The equipment of the mobile home included all we needed. We are very satisfied with the camp location and environment as well as with quality of the accommodation. The atmosphere of Baška town is unique and fantastic. We appreciate the possibility of breakfast and dinner in the near hotel.
If I have to write some things that could be improved, here is a list but I know some of them are not easily realizable.
1) Bigger pool :)
2) Bigger shop with basic food and beverages, increase variety of food.
3) Earlier check-in and later check-out (10 for check-out was too early for us :) )
4) More evening events for adults (music, dance performance, play bingo etc...), but you need some proper place for it and its a question if it is possible. Bigger propagation of these actions - sometimes there was some music near the Mezzino Bar but we didn't know a what it is and when it has started.

The site is very beautiful and large. We were right on the beach, which was simply fantastic. Unfortunately, the toilets smelled unpleasant and the beach for dogs is ugly and much too short. The toilets further back at the campsite were very clean and modern.

The camp area was beautiful, the mobile home was very comfortable and well equipped. The pool area was a little crowded, would be great to have another one but other than that we had a great experience!

We stayed in one of the lovely Marena Premium Camping Homes - very nice with our own little terrace. We also really liked the camping resort and the beach it is on.

However, the check-in process was a disaster. We (and another 10-15 people) had to wait for over 1.5 hours to be able to check in. For some reason - even though everyone had booked online in advance - it took them 20-30 minutes per person for checking in. At some point, they just collected our passports, gave us our keys and told us to come back in the evening to get them back and they would do the check-in in the meantime. So much wasted time.

Also, we would have hoped for a bit more transparency. On the website, they already tell you that cleaning fee and taxes are not included in the price and list an additional 37€. However, that is just the cleaning fee, taxes still have to be added. Just would have been nice to know in advance.

Did we have a good time? Yes. Considering everything, was our stay worth the money? Not sure.

Nice camping site with alive city walking distance. In 2017 vamping changed a lot. Unforunatly more mobile houses and less camping... :(

Location of campsite is perfect. However the pitches closest to the beach deserve some refurbishment.
