While this place is very good given the relatively small town it is located in (that is sadly still a bad omen for a restaurant in Czechia). Maybe it's not following the latest trends, but serves good food with attentive service.

The hotel acts more like a hostel, before the arrival of the guest it would be nice to catch at least the spiders, there were already too many for my taste, arachnobics would be welcome. The girls at the reception are friendly and helpful, the night reception works without problems. Beds clean, ideal place to sleep. Nice place by the river.

We had an exceptional time. We were greeted with a smile and it stayed with us for the duration of our stay. The view of the river from our room was exceptional. Our breakfasts were great and for our evening meals, their recommendations were perfect. The location is great for sightseeing. The deck for evening aperitifs was a nice escape.

When we arrived, we were shocked by the wellness hotel, and then we had to pay extra for entry to the wellness area. The water was very cold and definitely not 28 degrees, and every employee said something different. The wellness area for 4 hours cost 13 euros per person. Dinner was delicious 😋 I had veal schnitzel and my mother had pork cheeks. The breakfast wasn't my thing; I expected more Czech...

Staff and reception were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast offered good choices. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was very good. Rooms were very comfortable and we had a great view of the river. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and hygienic, the environment was quiet, and it was not far from the supermarket and the old town. The waiter was warm and thoughtful, and he helped to call a taxi immediately. However, this so-called beer town is not a town at all, but a city. It is several kilometers from the long-distance bus station to the hotel. It is impossible to walk with luggage, and it is impossible not...

Very good, rich breakfast, but the beds abroad are too soft, I can't get used to it. There are big shopping malls around, and it's convenient to eat. There is also Chinese food, but it's a little expensive, but it's acceptable, very good

The hotel service is very good, the breakfast is rich, the front desk and service staff are friendly and kind. The hotel is very close to the Black Tower and the fountain. There are also shopping malls nearby, which is very convenient.

4 stars for the staffs specially the the blonde lady. She work hard yet still keep a smile on her face. For the hotel; need better pillow and faster elevator. *****Staffs put up a good service despite horrible treatment from Chinese tourists. ***** Those 1 star complain should do a manner check.

Nice place, good value for the price. Meticulously clean, friendly staff and very central i.e. close to the old city but quiet place. You can take a walk along the river, a pond with humorous sculpures is just opposite the entrance.

Good, but not as in the site presentation. Location close to the old town as a major plus. Room clean and spacious, bathroom with less facilities than expected. Room refrigerator. Breakfast very poor, no fruits, just cheese and meats (salami and ham), staff's choice ready on a small plate. Coffee was excellent and at will.

The promised ***+ is more then the reality. The breakfast was poor the Orange Juice was watered, the heating was terrible. I had to air release it. Thanks to official swiss army knife.

My review is only for the restaurant. Roasted pepper+ tomato soup was alright, nothing spectacular, luncheon meat appetizer was served from the can, and was overpriced for what it is, just because is "from the farm", again nothing special, pickled onions were good. Unfortunately I had to spend some time on the toilet after the meal. Waitress was nice.

Just came for a beer at the terrace. Nice view, quiet. Service friendly, attentive and fast. Maybe my hotel choice for the next visit.

Didn' sleep there, but the restaurant is great. Especially the beef tatar is highly recommended, yummy yummy. :-) I enjoy it every time I'm going there.

The best choice if you travel with family! Clean, large and modern. Kitchen equipped well, even washing machine. Air condition room. Very polite receptionist make sure your smooth check-in and check-out. All guests have free breakfast at restaurant nearby. Free Wifi and free parking available ( parking lot 7 min away)

The checkout is as fast as watching paint dry There is zero parking Breakfasts is a bit poor There is no air conditioning There is significant road noise when you open the windows Wifi didn't work for me and... There was no reception to talk to about it because they pack up at 2100.

I really liked this place. The apartment was spacious and probably the biggest place we stayed at on our two week trip to Europe. The room was clean, the bathroom was big and the beds were comfortable. They also have a nice breakfast that is included in the price. If and when I am back in české Budějovice I will most certainly be staying here. I would recommend to anyone. The only drawback is there...

Booked the hotel and arrived later than expected…about 7:15 pm. This is a one person “3” star hotel and this person leaves between 8:30 and 9 pm. You have to pull onto curb to unload luggage and parking is several blocks away. The hotel person made a pont of saying 3-star hotels don’t have to have someone there during the night, but when pressed said the owner lived there and could be reached...

The restaurant is quite spacious, but, unfortunately, the impression is not particularly good. Despite the fact that the service is fast and the waiters are friendly, I want to mention that the waiter did not accurately fulfilling the order, for example forgetting to bring the lemon. The garlic in my opinion is too salty and spicy, but it's not for everybody.

Parts of the complex are under renovation. Only went for the beer. Service was OK. Atmosphere and interior is a bit sterile in this old building. Toilets on ground floor, good for mobility handicapped.

Nice tap beer for below 50ck, friendly staff, classic but modern beer hall vibe. Expected a little more people on a Saturday evening but maybe we just picked the wrong day. Food menu is very meaty, not the place to eat for a vegetarian/vegan but as expected in a beer hall.

The service and food was good but not exceptional. The beer was of course good. We have returned another time during our stay because of the nice atmosphere. The room is large enough to accommodate a lot of guests but does not feel overfilled or noisy. The furniture is modern and clean.

Spacious bedroom, extremely clean and comfortable beds! Everything seemed new and the design of the room is simple and practical. We got everything we needed within the room. Rich breakfast. Great location with restaurants nearby, close to the square and we enjoyed our post-dinner night walk. Would definitely stay at Metropol again for our next visit in ceske budejovice :)

I have stayed at this place a number of times due to its convenient location near to the railway station. Luxurious it certainly isn't (the rooms remind me of a student halls of residence) but it is a clean, reasonably priced place to stay. The breakfast is simple but tasty.
