Maria Hostel in Valga

I was a bit nervous when I arrived since I didn't know I would have to call them for someone to answer the door. But when someone came to get me, I was relieved. She's very nice and accommodating to my questions and needs.

The hostel was clean, spacious and quiet. Too quiet that I thought there was just me in it, and made me a bit nervous. I had a nice stay regardless!

Excellent hostel for it’s price and a very friendly host. Walls are very thin so sleeping can be difficult with noisy neighbours

Great value for the price! Clean, comfy beds. Communal kitchen and bathrooms. Short walk to the shops.

Nice and clean room, 2 bed/double bed room is a single big bed for two. Room had it's own shower and bath. The shower room even had two showers in it (not seperated though).
Owner was very nice and friendly, we even could put two bikes in the floor inside. Would recommend.

One star less because of some minor annoyances, nothing serious:
- room could need a bit of maintenance, for example...
- door handles are loose
- doors are hard to open because the doorhandle doesn't retract the thingy inside all the way, so you have to push the door open, which probably will cause damage to the doorframe in the future.
- shower room has a lot of space and two showers, but not a single hook or anything to put your things so they stay dry
- toilet room had a broken drainage gutter, which results in a small hole in the ground you can step in - hidden by a carpet over it. This would be the only major grip in my opinion because since you can't see it, you could hurt your feet there if you step into it.

Rooms were nice and clean, service was kind and helpful. One problem I found was that there were no private toilets and showers. Would visit again!
