I stayed at Original Sokos Hotel Seurahuone, Kotka during my business trip from Korea. The bedding and the room were very clean, and all the staff members were kind and dedicated. I was very satisfied with my stay and would gladly recommend this hotel.

Had a very splendid stay here. The room was very spacious, the sauna and Jacuzzi were very well kept up and nice. I especially enjoyed the various machines in the gym!

Good hotel near the centre. Nice and quiet rooms, very clean and nicely decorated rooms and premises. Breakfast is nice with fresh vegetables and breads and plenty of options to choose from. The location is near a big road, but there is no noise from the road to the rooms. There should be a nice sauna and gym, but I didn't have time for a visit. My friends said the sauna is good.

Nice hotel from a commonly known chain (Sokos) and thus as good as most of their other offerings. Room was spacious enough, nicely styled and equipped with all basic amenities, the bed was comfortable, there's a common sauna and "spa" available for free. However the sound insulation is not ideal, we could hear a dog bark through the wall or floor and the lock on the toilet door was broken. Breakfast...

Great breakfast and a clean room. The bed was comfortable. The room needs updating, but we chose this hotel for the perfect location. This is a good city vacation hotel choice if you are spending your time mostly outside the room. The check in and out was fast.

This is a 3-star hotel, so I'll give it three stars. =) It is located right in the center of Kouvola, right on the main street. Kouvola is a small city, so during week the street will be quiet, although on weekends people going/coming to/from bars may be loud. So, rooms on street side could be noisy. Just ask for a room on the other side, if this bothers you. It is an older hotel and it shows. Rooms...

Ok for one night stay Average hotel, not very comfy or beautifully decorated room, also very hot. Ok for one night stay. As a vegan the breakfast was ok: porridge, oat milk and soygurt. Every food was well marked though. The staff was friendly. The hotel was full so there wasn't parking lots for everyone but luckily the staff told us about other spots to park our car.

Value for money The hotel was better than expected considering the low price. Rooms are small but clean and in good condition. Refrigerator and kettle provided. It was a good base for touring the area. A pretty park close by. Good breakfast.

Peaceful and nice Clean and peaceful. Very nice bed. I slept like baby. Food in bar was okey. Breakfest was good.

The bed was very hard so I didn't sleep that much Its a place for guys passing through. Men who work. I was not pleased by the bed. Otherwise, its riverside so its quiet & early morning walk was refreshing.

It might be a bit dated, but the location right on the Kymijoki can't be beat. Legitimately some of the best coffee I've had a hotel!

Delicious breakfast in a comfortable accommodation One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The swimming pool is a nice addition to cool off in the summer heat. The rooms are spacious, the air conditioner was a very nice surprise.

Totally decent hotel. A bit retro, but nice and clean. Lady in the reception super friendly and helped me with late check in. Good hot sauna open until 22:00 with nice chilly swimming pool to jump in. Breakfast with quite good variaty. Overall 8/10.

Very quaint and quiet place. The sauna is great! Would visit again. Ps. It's been a while since I've seen a classic plastic punched VingCard. It was kinda... a blast from the past.

The idea is better than the outcome, but a very pleasant mansion some 10 km away from downtown Kotka. Beautiful riverside and all in all nice surroundings, including a pleasant surprise park 10 minute walk away.

Beautiful old building with many charming details both inside and out. Our room was very large but singles in our party had normal sized rooms. The breakfast was fabulous with many choices for an American or European palate. Just a heads up, there is no A/C. We visited in the fall so this wasn't an issue for us. Overall, I highly recommend.

We could not have had a better place for our last night in Finland before heading back home. A little remote, quiet and peaceful. Small but very clean rooms which were renovated. A good selection for the breakfast made the stay even more pleasant. We only would have wished that the restaurant would be open in winter.

Nice and calm place. Staff was helpful when we needed clean sheets, but the guy also complained about it. We where there late autumn, so it was often dark in the hours we were at the hotel, and we weren't outside much. Very beautiful nature, exept the power lines. It was a cozy room. Nice bathroom. Sadly the restaurant was closed in the evenings when we where there.

Location was good, next to the center of Kouvola, breakfast was a bit mediocre, no fresh vegetables and no restocking of food. Rooms overall okeyish, a bit outdated maybe, seemed to be clean apart of a used snus packet in the corner of the room. Compared to the price tho it was okey, 3 stars out of 5.

The place is very basic. It is clean and the location is good. The sauna's steamroom is good. The changing room lacks comfort. The breakfast has plenty of room for improvement

I stayed in a two person room since there were no single rooms left so it cost me the price of two people. The staff was informative and kind. The room was clean. But the bathroom was inside the room and it was super tiny. The shower head would not stay still on the wall so you had to always hold it. Super tight space too, so shower curtain is contantly near you. The room didn't have any towels which...

If you are not spoiled :-) , it's really OK. For the money very reasonable accomodation in Kouvola. Breakfast is good enough, some of the rooms could be a bit bigger, but we were lucky and got one of the biggest rooms, so it was great for us. You can use sauna for free. The only one not so nice thing - it was a bit problematic to get the right invoice (booked via Booking), but after some days I got...

Cozy place with ideal location The best thing about this hotel is its location, ideal for easily reaching interesting events or happenings in this big-size small town. The second best is the possibility of using spa services, for which, however, there is seldom enough time during short stays.

Nothing to complain about. Just perfect accommodation in a beautiful old villa and its a bit newer side wing. Rooms and decorations nice, Clean. Helpful Staff. And close by some magnificent industrial ruin and working factories. Plus a mighty river.

Very unfamiliar hotel. Reception in bar at ground level. Decent breakfast. Close to main harbour area with new maritime museum and also city center. Got a very quiet room like i wished for.

I liked the building itself. This northern architecture! The hotel is kinda guesthouse with breakfast included. Stayed for one night.

A small budget residence for modest overnighter. Tidy room, flat tv, wireless network (which didn't work well). Breakfast setting was a slight disappoinment but satisfactory anyway. Pretty well located, easy to find.
