Quiet, yet well located hotel next to a park. We stayed with a pet and our room number 231 was pretty small. Good breakfast with some local specialities like kalakukko (= fish baked inside a loaf of bread). Staff is friendly and easily approachable.

Basic hotel. Rooms are clean and functional. The beds have a plastic feel to them, even after removing the plastic protection sheet underneath the actual sheet. I don't like the tunnel between the two buildings, I rather go outside. The breakfast buffet is a disaster. There isn't enough staff, the staff seems overworked. Food runs out, the tables aren't getting cleared. Hard to find a place to sit...

Located in two different buildings. There is an underground tunnel to walk between buildings which was nice. Breakfast was better than average, scrambled eggs was not wetty supplement as on some places. Location also very good, would recommend when visiting Kuopio. Pillows were not too "round" or mattresses not too soft as were for me on the nearby Scandic few years ago.

I was missing the home-sandals that they provide in the hotels, but you normally can find in the room (so you can have them in the sauna or when going around indoors) but I couldn't find them anywhere in my room or any of the common areas. So that was a shame. The breakfast was fine. I was missing variety in warm salty food; there was not a toaster and the amount of vegan/gluten free food was scarce...

Sliding door and fancy toilet in rock suite (room 500) didn't work. Otherwise all five stars.

A visit to Kuopio is a must do on you list. Then stay at one of the very nice Scandic hotels in town. Have a super romantic dinner at the Musta Lammas, and go to Kauppatori for genuin Finnish food. Nice clean rooms and close to center.

Huge hotel lobby, lovable guest room with free Wi-Fi, nice clean bathroom. Unique and romantic restaurant on 2nd floor, attractive furniture which adds nostalgic flavor while dinning there. Just about right location in the city to get around.

No AC in rooms, a bit dated but over all good experience. Spa access is included for both check in and check out days. Spa access costs 16e but they have a summer lunch combo for 25 that includes the buffet and spa access.

The room wasn't cleaned properly quite alot of dust and not organized alot of pillow throw on the floor on first arrival in the room.There was no bathrub or inside shoes for kids. Breakfast option not the best. Nice environment area.

Really enjoy our small trip, delicious breakfast, lunch, live music, sauna and spa place, also available gym and other sport activities. Smoke sauna would be nice and also outdoor swimming, we couldn’t make it due to rain. Overall nice place for relaxing 😎

Good hotel, but don’t arrive by car and don’t select the smallest room. The entrance to the recommended underground parking is very hard to find and when you finally get there you no visible signs guide you to the closest entrance of the hotel.

A standard Scandic of the slightly older version. Great location and lots of parking in the underground parking house under the main square. Breakfast is good but slightly under standard for Scandic, but better than most other hotels. Rooms are comfy but cleaning could be better.

Hotel is situated just in the heart of city beside market square. It is very easy to hop in citylife. Everything was clean and tidy in general. Basic breakfast was good but nothing special. Not perhaps even the standard experience of a standard room. The standard room window view is into the inside of a department store. The room ventilator makes such a noise that it had to be turned off. There was no coffee or hot water in the room. The bathroom was strangely big and chilly. The room temperature could not be adjusted. However, the bed was good to sleep in and the breakfast was regular...

Overall everything worked perfectly except customer service on checkout. Room was very nice, clean and very quiet. Accordingly resting was enjoyable. But, there is really something to improve on customer service. On checkout the person was more cold than friendly to me and clearly needs some training with customer service skills. Best location in Kuopio. Very good breakfast. Clean room. Water kettle should be available free of charges in all rooms.Now we had to bring our own. Nice hotel anyway - our home away from home in Kuopio.

A nice hotel a little outside the city center. Nice room with all you need from coffee and tea and good equipped bathroom. Good breakfast.

Breakfast excellent and celiacs well catered for. Room clean and bed good. The only thing I missed was a kettle in the room.

Room was large, clean and quiet. TV screen big enough. The mattress was suitable and gave a good sleep! We got the parking (free of charge) in front our room that was opposite and close to the restaurant (short distance to walk). There is lots of parking area at the hotel. It's safe to say the place looks rather depressive when you first enter the car park. I chose this hotel purely due to the large car park which is ideal for larger vehicles, such as a van. The room is comfortable enough. It had a TV, kettle, tea / coffee, bathroom, and a mini fridge (which thankfully was on). The breakfast was ok.

Just to set your expectations, this is an old boarding school converted to a hotel. It's that in both good, and bad. The design goes practicality first, which gives you no-frills rooms with dedicated bathrooms and toilets. The rooms themselves are simple, but fine for short term stay for the area. Airchange machine was off, although we asked to switch on it. Poor curtains, no cover for light. Bad quality pillows like in each and every hotel. No shower curtain at all in the bathroom. Quite minimal breakfast. I.e. Only one type of bread. Everything running to end all the time, we need to ask all the time something more. Good location, easy to go by bike everywhere. Budget price. Good isolation...

Standard hotel next to hospital. In My point it lacks bit of usual services. Rooms we quiet, and breakfast was simple and it did the job. Hotel parking is free, and food shops are close distance. Price range is similar in other hotels around Kuopio. Plus from beds and hot shower. Wifi has good radius, but cuts you off line too often. Minus from me because of network issue.

Everything was as promised, clean and functional. The room was a bit cold and the antenna cable or its plug was tripped, so the TV could not be seen well. Reconnecting the cord helped, but it had to be repeated every time it was opened.

The hotel room was like an office from the 90s with old cabinets and other office furniture, so not very cozy. The walls were thin, so the chatter of other customers could be heard throughout the night. However, the customer service was extremely warm and friendly, full marks for that. The breakfast was also good, special mention for the gluten-free products.
