Waldhotel Eichenhof in Aalen

Together with my little girl, we stayed in Waldhotel for 1 night and enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant. Family atmosphere, comfortable bed, really delicious foods with super nice services from both hotel and restaurant, and easy parking. It is just walking distance to Explorhino. We would love to back and enjoy dinner again. Already recommended to our friends.

Very pretty hotel. Check-in through the bar area rather than a reception desk. Not exactly a warm and fuzzy feeling to the hotel, but not an unfriendly one either. The room was large, and there was a couch to sit on beside the bed. Nice. The bed was a single frame housing two twin mattresses with separate sheets. And of course, I would up sleeping in the crevasse between the two mattresses. Not totally uncomfortable, but not totally great either.
Something really cool: there was a picture on the wall. As simple as this sounds, it elevated the room from a sort of bleak place to almost a home-like atmosphere. I didn't realize just how much this mattered until I stayed a few nights in places with no pictures on the wall, and then came to the Waldhotel. It makes a difference!
The really strange thing about the room was that there was a long "desk," but NO outlets anywhere on the wall where the desk was placed. So…no desk lamp and no way to charge a computer while working. Nor was there any hot water heater for tea or instant coffee. Luckily there were outlets at the bedside, both sides, for overnight charging of devices. That is okay for an overnight stay, but not for long term use.
The lighting was also strange (to me) for a hotel room. Bedside lights on either side of the bed, individually controlled, and six overhead lights, all controlled by one switch. So the room was either (too) bright, or kind of dim.
Included in the room fee is breakfast. While not the biggest or best breakfast I have had in a German hotel, it was good and totally adequate.

About the rooms we are not able to say anything, since we were to spend the night. But the food and the friendly nature of the staff were impeccable!! And also the ambiance is gorgeous, so we like to come again!!!
We have now celebrated twice: our Christmas party on the business there, and all were every time very satisfied and delighted!!!

Very nice winter garden, but also the rest of the Restaurant is very nice and bright.
Very friendly and courteous staff, the Team is very collegial and professional.
The food taste very good and also something for the eye, of course.
Everything was very clean and classy.
All the guests were thrilled. It is an almost family-like atmosphere came to be.
We would always celebrate this special day there !!

We were with our family to eat there. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food - all family members were supplied with the different types of food. Very well-kept overall impression, the invites come to.

We were at the barbecue on-site course (with an Overnight stay in the Hotel) and it was just awesome.

The food is super tasty. You can taste the emphasis here is on quality value and no meat from discounters on the platter! It will also be discussed. Vegetarians and Vegans do not come here too short. Very delicious salads with fresh herbs. .. The menu is not very large but it is very special requests. The rooms are super clean and really tastefully decorated. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful.

We celebrated our wedding party here... The food was perfect and the Service outstanding. All very friendly and our guests rave about the food! Also for dinner we were already often there and were always thrilled by the quality and the Service!
