We had a lovely three nights stay. Some of the rooms have been more renovated than the others but all just as comfortable. Shower had very warm water and the heaters warmed up to room super well! We stayed for 8 days and overall had a nice experience. It’s very kid-friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean enough, and the kitchen had a good amount of supplies so we cooked most nights. I liked the experience and overall value for money as I only used their pool area. I did not like the dealing of lady on the payment counter. She seems to me little bit unfriendly with foreigners and me and my family felt it . We went there 2 days and both days found strange dealing. Landal Salztal Paradies in Bad Sachsa is a fantastic family-friendly getaway in the Harz region. The houses are spacious and comfortable. It has a great water park, and has easy access to scenic hiking trails. This Landal park is a perfect spot for both relaxation and outdoor fun. Highly recommended!!

Perfect location in the village. Only about 5 minutes to the shops and the cable car. The owners are very accommodating. Since it wasn't busy, we were even allowed into our room early in the morning. We stayed at the hotel as a group of girls. After some initial "grinding difficulties," everything was resolved to our satisfaction. Absolutely recommended for a holiday in the you a lot to experience, was previously in 4 different rooms and all of the Top. The bathrooms will be renovated, so I've gotten this year, an old familiar, but new rooms / bathroom. Some of the bathrooms is a little too small but you do not want to spend his day. We stayed overnight here as visitors to spa guests. The rooms are okay, but with emergency call buttons everywhere, they're not really hotel rooms. Everything was clean and generally fine, however, I would expect at least a makeup mirror in the bathroom and dinner from 6 to 7 pm in a four-star hotel. We had a room directly above the hotel entrance next to the staircase. It felt like guests were coming...

The therapists and doctors are first-class! The food is superb and always delicious! Regarding the rooms, consideration should be given to only offering single rooms for acute patients, as being able to move freely around one's room contributes to well-being.

The Hotel is a bit outdated, but the rooms in "Landhaus_Style" are ok. No aircon, no fridge, the mattress could be changed soon. You can see that the hotel is about 50 years old, but everything worked fine. It has a pool, but no towels there, you need to bring it from the room or ask at reception. A bathrobe is charged extra. Using the sauna must be requested at least one hour in advance, otherwise...

Very lovely hotel. We were welcomed by the hotel owners in person each morning and also our little dog who got special treats every day and was allowed to play with their own dog. It's wonderful to be welcomed in such a nice way. The breakfast was great and I have been offered a good range of vegan options. We really liked this hotel. We had a nice room with a balcony, and there is a lift. Food was very good, served in a 4th floor restaurant. There was a hot buffet every night we were there, which was very good value. Breakfast was also good. There is a pool in the basement, and a lovely garden. Staff were helpful. Plenty of free parking. We would definitely stay again.

Small hotel with super friendly staff. The food was delicious and the room was clean. The pool and sauna area are small but nice and ideal for swimming or relaxing. Price / performance is absolutely justified. We had a few nice days in Bad Lauterberg for the narrow thaler.

Wonderful park, very nice set up just as on the pictures! We stayed in the area close to the woods which is the prettiest part but the other part is nice as well, just a bit further walk from everything. The facilities are splendid: great indoor swimming pool, nice indoor playground with crafts every day around 10, fab bowling area with blacklight and music, little shop with mainly souvenirs, swimwear...

Cosy hotel for families with young children! Free cultural events in high season at the Kleinkunstbühne with pub. Highly recommended as the whole landscape is cultural somehow "dead". Empty streets in the evening in WR, GS, Bad Harzburg, Halberstadt etc.

Like many places in the area, it seems understaffed. But the staff is friendly and accommodating....2 years later...We stayed a week in the village. It's over priced and under staffed! The units are great, but for the price that we paid, it was disappointing. It's like an over priced Hostel. We paid extra for linen and the only things inside were 2 dishwasher tabs and 3 rolls of toilet paper. Not even...

Nice spot of nature if you’re nature lover and would like to run away from stress. The staffs gave me the feeling that they love their job and love to serve you. We have the Honeymoon room and I love it! It‘s worth for that money. 4 stars instead of 5 are just to give them a hint, next times at Christmas Buffet, just notice guests if they book the Christmas package that it wouldn’t be Christmas food...

We spent our short break in the Harz Mountains here. The owner gave us a friendly welcome and was always up for a chat. Our room was beautifully decorated with nature pictures, and the modernized bathroom was also very stylish. Breakfast was plentiful. There are a few parking spaces right by the house. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back :-)

Nice place, and location with good view

We lived in a large nice room. The host was very kind and we felt very welcome. The breakfast was really good. The only thing for me was that it was very thin walls so you heard your room neighbors. That made it a little bit hard for my dog but at the end of the day that’s my problem 😆 Thank you for a nice visit!

Really lovely couple. Easy to talk with and breakfast was good aswell. They were very helpfull with things to see, eat and do locally. One morning we did have to leave early for some sightseeing so they did make a amazing breakfast for our trip. Superb service all through our stay. Nice BnB in Altenau: nice room, nice bed and a delicious breakfast in a nice big living room. Great place as a base to discover the area, with ample parking and within walking distance of the pleasant village center. The owner is very welcoming and helpful and knows how to recommend the best restaurants in the area!!

Great and yet quiet location. We were there with motorbikes. The manager of the house immediately offered us a garage! Drinks were self-service with a "checkout of trust". Room was spacious, clean and functional. Breakfast was delicious. The price-performance ratio is right! Gladly again.

Room was good, mattresses were also OK, it was pleasantly quiet, service was very good, hosts were very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good and plentiful, also good for bikers, we have our own garage for the bikes, we recommend going out to eat at Restaurant Hirsch, as breakfast is only available in Hotel Engel. But that wasn't a problem, the food is very good, the Altenauer Dunkel beer tastes...

Nice hotel in the center of Altenau. Run by two super nice and nice people. I just showed up spontaneously and got a room without any problems. The rooms are fine and adequately equipped for just staying overnight. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everything seems a bit rustic and outdated, but it fits with the charm of the Harz and Altenau. Just have to like it. The breakfast...

Went like that. If you are really hungry, you will not be full. I was looking forward to home-style cooking, but unfortunately the brawn was a ready-made product and the fried potatoes saw the pan far too short and the portion was very clear. But the service was nice.
