Fantastic in every respect Fantastic hotel that delights amazing history and immaculate conditions. Brilliantly run. Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast were both excellent. Great value for money. There are very few independent hotels that reach this standard. It was that good.

Excellent hotel from start to finish.

My Husband booked me a night away alone in this hotel, child free as a Christmas Present. All I can say is what a beautiful experience! The staff from the moment I checked in were extremely helpful and spoke English after noticing I struggled talking German ( I tried) The room was stunning. We did not avail ourselves of the hotel but had lunch in its restaurant, Ristorante Vittorio. The last time I ate here, almost 40 years, the restaurant still featured German cuisine; now it is Italian. The food was very tasty: I had the linguini with sea food, and not only was the dish well prepared, it did not stint on the sea food. Highly recommended.

Always happy...I always see an update in the room...a great development...like hostels, only the business people stay at the hotel. Great service, the restaurant in the hotel is also highly recommended. The Churchill Lounge, of course, is always a pleasure.

The Hotel van Bebber has a great atmosphere. The almost historic building has a special flair. The rooms are all modern and at least my room had a large bathroom. The breakfast really left nothing to be desired. Friendly and helpful staff round off the positive impression.

Very nice and friendly hotel! Reception was kind and helpful, the room spacious and beds are good. Cushions are very soft, if that's not your style, ask for firm or bring your own. Typical German: Carpet everywhere! What's strange is the tourist tax, you will need to pay that cash. Card is only possible for your reservation. Parking is possible on the adjacent (paid) parking lot, but there are not...

The very best kind of family-run business and service - in stunning natural environment

I've spent about a month at this family owned hotel. Even though it's a quiet location (exactly my preference), within walking distance you can reach everything important. The family running the hotel is very nice and flexible if the guests have special requests. Really made me feel at home. Looking forward to my next stay there!

Perfect country feeling in this quiet hotel. The nature is so close in all directions, if you really want to relax in this area this is the perfect place to do it. Probably the best place to stay in the vicinity. I spent a few weeks here and it was just amazing. Shops / restaurants are in 5-10 min walking distance in the lovely town of Xanten. The owners of the hotel were so friendly and welcoming that at the end of my stay I felt like I'm part of the family. I will definitely visit again.

I have spent here several weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It's a family run hotel where people are kind and take care of everything. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean, the area is calm. However the hotel is in the outskirt of Xanten it's easy to walk into the city center within 20 minutes. To stay here is highly recommended.

Restaurant review. I ate dinner here after visiting Xanten, Christmas market. I had pork medallions and it was delicious. The service was top notch. I loved the ambiance of the surroundings and short walk from town center.

We loved this hotel; just renovated, alpine deco, comfortable beds and with a typical 🇩🇪restaurant downstairs. Walking distance to the Altstadt of Zanten. The breakfasts buffet was superb!

The restaurant is highly recommended! Although the waiting time is long (>30min), the food is delicious and the staff are friendly!

We ordered typical Bavarian dishes (as this is what the restaurant is based on) and it was fantastic!! Everything we ordered was just superb. We look forward to our next visit! Highly recommended the Kaesespaetzle and anything with the WaldsteinPilze used in a creme or other type of sauce.

Good restaurant, good food and service

I stayed here 5 years ago and had a great experience. This time was not so good because work was being conducted on the roof above my room to install solar panels. I changed rooms but the crane still started early in the morning so woke me up early. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Maria on the bar was extremely nice and mixed a great gin and tonic. Burger night on Tuesday was good too.

Lovely hotel, great views of the river

Silverfish in the bathroom, it wasn't the cleanest - shabby carpeting and dirt marks around one of the wall paintings. While it was nice to have a large room and balcony, with no kitchen utensils (you have to ask front desk for them) and "green" housekeeping (i.e. they don't want to pay for housekeepers or for new toilet rolls/soap refills) I don't think it justifies the price. Outside soundproofing...

Great place for family with children. Lots of places for entertaining: playgrounds nearby, swimming pool complex indoor and outdoor, walking along the river…

This place has a great view of the Rhine River. Prices are fair considering the view. Very clean inside including the rest rooms. Possible to rent electronic bikes here for a ride down or up the Rhine along the dikes...

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The property was absolutely beautiful (beautiful long drive up to the property, very well kept, etc). The hotel itself was very clean and the staff was great. Breakfast buffet was excellent with many great options. It was very quiet and the rooms were spacious for Europe. We had privacy but also had the ability to socialize in the commons areas...

And attention: they do NOT accept CASH for all services in the hotel.

Overpriced. Generally the price would not match the value the hotel provides. The hotel itself has great potential, however the cleanliness was lacking. The sauna facilities were great. Saunas are.....well not saunas in the meaning that are developed and made in Finland. Very warm welcome. The owner is cheerful, energetic, and helpful. The rooms are simple but comfortable. The breakfast is extensive and delicious.

Nice location, about 600m to the city centre. Friendly staff, clean room with comfortable single bed, bathroom with bath tub. Modern big size flat TV, free mineral water. Furniture is 1980s style but in good shape. Price is great for the room and service provided.

Clean good place! Nice english speaking owners. Two small minuses - a little bit noisy because of close location to a road and shower and toilet are common on the floor.

A bit dated, beds terrible, no wifi, conditioning cooling not a room, but the hallway to wc, so hot in room and cold when going to the toilet

the romms were clean, however did not cover a service I would expect (coffeemaschine, locking System, functioning kightening etc.). Also nowadays I would percieve a coffee maschine with cafe creme, capuchhino etc. as standard. The persons working were polite and efficient, however a certain flexibility concerning the breakfast and check out time would have been nice

We had to change hotels last minute cause the 4 star place by the Rhine (not gonna name it) was just… way too hot. Like 35 degrees and no aircon? Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are looking tired and need updating bu bathrooms are relatively new. The newly reopened restaurant offers a comprehensive range of menu options , is good vale and definitely worth a visit.

Nice hotel with super helpful staff & good storage for bicycles, the beds are extremely soft was my only issue. Everything else was spot on!

The room is gorgeous and clean. It is walking distance from the city center. Breakfast fee is getting changed by room type without any difference on the meals or services.

Staying at the Residenz was a privilege. The hotel is elegantly decorated, and rooms are spacious and well-furnished. The breakfast was very good with various options and the best black coffee I have ever had in a hotel. Special mention to the very polite and nice staff. At the restaurant, you were really taken care by a trained and very professional staff.

Everything felt new and well cared for. The hallways were bright, the room smelled clean, and the furniture looked modern and sturdy.

The mattress felt new, and the pillows were just the right firmness for me. I also liked that the shower had a constant water temperature — a small but important thing. Overall, everything was as described, or maybe slightly better.

Small rooms but they have everything you need. Newer hotel so everything was clean and fresh looking. Staff was great! The hotels don't have ironing boards though... but we figured out a solution.

To visit my friends in Moers Germany I reserved a room in the zur Linde Hotel . First off all congratulations to the cleaning personnel. You don't encounter much such clean rooms . Also the friendly staff was amazing . I'm not amazed that's this is one of the best hotels in Germany.

Very nice, clean and spacious room and the hotel has nice ball rooms that you can celebrate special occasions in (birthdays, weddings etc) - we went there to attend a birthday celebration and the food was delicious.

My two children (8 and 11) and I were on our way from Amsterdam to southern Germany, to my hometown, to visit Grandma and the rest of our family. Good place in Emmerich Hotel Stadt Emmerich is nicely located close to the actual center with easy access to the pedestrian high street and the promenade by the river. The room was newly renovated, clean, and with comfortable bed. Breakfast was good standard continental. There is good parking in the yard behind the hotel. Value-for-money is good.

I booked with this hotel twice and both times they gave me roadside rooms.Can't sleep when windows open.

Large room but lacking a few amenities such as coffee mug, makeup mirror, extra pillows (only one per bed). Note the front door closes at 10:00 PM and we were unable to open using the code provided (luckily someone exited so we could enter).

I stayed there on a visit to Germany. Very comfortable and location is perfect, Peaceful, Not far away from the top Center. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and cosy. This hotel exceeded expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast selection was extensive and full of freshly baked goods as well as many vegetarian options. The accommodation was very clean and modern and surprisingly quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The hotel seems a bit run down and old fashioned. Everything needs some maintenance and some fresh paint. It's located on a busy street with much traffic so ask for a room on an upper level at the back. Behind the hotel is a large parking with a separate bicycle storage. Nearby is a shopping street with (fast food) restaurants and a very large supermarket. The small breakfast buffet was not spectacular...

I have been visiting this hotel from 2017 in my Kleve trips. You can be sure that you will get the clean and comfortable rooms for the reasonable prices. The hotel staff also is helpfull and polite everytime.

Rooms, beds and hotel were clean, breakfast good. Staff friendly and effective. So it is good, not really special or luxurious, but just good. The bathroom in our room seemed recently refurbished / modernated.

The reception staff were not particularly friendly, even though I spoke German with them. However, the breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful.

The hotel is located in a nice place on highway number 40 (Autobahn40) and behind the hotel is a very nice park and open swimming pool. The reception has a very nice decoration and atmosphere, which offers a nice sitting down with nice music. The rooms are very nice and big compared with the local hotels with the same pay. There is a very big free parking place to park the car easily. I like the place...

Well. Let say we have been to several Van der valk hotels, and this one is not so good for us. The room was fine with balcony except it was not safe if you wanted to have the door open. Plus, smokers-was allowed on the balcony.

We only stopped here to make use of the Tesla superchargers. All of us urgently had to use the bathroom which was no problem! Lovely lady at the reception desk showed us the way. We were able to play some foosball and go for a walk near the river and lake. Beautiful place both inside and outside.

Decent and cheap hotel. Clean rooms, adequate breakfast. The staff is friendly, helpful and also helps with special requests, with a larger group everything can take a little longer. For one or two nights completely sufficient. Of course this is not a holiday hotel and the location is not first class either. But it does its job for a reasonable price. If necessary, I like to stay here again.

Very nice hotel, good price, clean rooms, extremely friendly and forthcoming desk, 24 h check-in. We came from Düsselsorf to sleep here and the commute by tram was smooth. Surrounding area is migrant heavy and economically not well off. Lots of unoccupied men standing around, so definitely not somewhere to explore. The tram is only 3 minutes by foot so if you are looking for a place to stay for plannned...
