Hotel Apollonia in Delphi

The hotel in beautiful Delfi . The lobby area was beautiful and close to the main part of town. We had dinner in the main room with the group. I ordered some tea. The waiter was so busy communicating with someone at the far end of the table that he spilled I understand accidents can happen but it was the way it was handled that bothered me. The server offered a towel but barely apologized. Went on to do his duties to other tables. This could of been worse with a burn. Thankfully that did not happen. The food was ok. The chicken was moist but lacked flavor. Lastly there were only two chargers in the room. The hotel needs updating so the inside of the hotel and the service can match the beautiful out door and lobby.

on a tour, the hotel is far from 4 star, tired, dirty, dated rooms with uncomfortable beds. Dinner was fixed and literally tossed on our plates and there was no drinks menu. When requesting to pay by card we were advised an additional fee for VAT was to be added if we didn't pay cash. This was the first time in our 3 week Greece experience we have been told this. As I understand it, prices are quoted including VAT. We were later advised a card would be accepted for further purchases when we ran out of cash. when we requested a drinks menu none was provided just a verbal rattle of what was available. Granted we are on a group tour, we are however paying for the experience and while the view and location are incredible, the rest is less than ordinary. 4 star definitely mot in my experience!

No heating, very unfriendly and not polite staff, dirty rooms, worst dinner of my life, terrible hygienic conditions. there was a hair in the dessert. the breakfast was prepared the night before and left exposed all night long. the most horrible accommodation I’ve ever had
