Panorama Hotel in Parikia

We loved it! A sweet little place - out of the hustle and bustle of tourists but walking distance to the beach, town, etc.

Great option near the port with an excellent breakfast buffet. Room was cleaned thoroughly every day with fresh towels and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Pool was nice (usually crowded as it’s small). About a 10 minute walk to the port. Small bathroom with a very tiny shower but I made it work for a few days.

I arrived for 4 nights with my husband and 2 children (22 and 19). We were booked here with a tour so I didn't have any say. We first had rooms beside each other with balcony views of the football stadium. Not great. I requested to be moved to rooms with a view of the water and we were moved the second day. Our rooms shared a balcony and we enjoyed the lovely sunsets and views down to the water. This made all the difference! Rooms are clean but very basic. Beds are terrible - hard and very low. Breakfast is limited but has all the basics you'll need and sitting outside to eat on the terrace with water views is nice. The pool area is very small - we went at the end of May and somehow had the pool to ourselves everyday. The woman at the front desk isn't overly friendly but she did offer guidance for where we should go in our rental car. (A car rental place is right across the street). It is an easy walk down to restaurants and the beach. Walking up is a bit of a haul but not hard. However, with all the hotel lacks, it's charm completely won us over. We loved our stay in Paros and the memories we made.

Positives:
- Good free breakfast with continental options and some cooked options (eggs)
- Pool well maintained
- Gentleman at reception was super helpful in giving directions and recommendations
- Room was clean and the complex is nice, with lots of plants and trees
- About 15 min walk into Parikia and 15 min walk down to the beach

Negatives:
- The room requires the key to be plugged in for the power to work. This meant that our food in the fridge became warm and expired which was frustrating. Recommend Panorama looks at ensuring the fridge can continue working even if the key isn’t plugged in.
- Wifi only works in the reception area and not in rooms, by the pool or the restaurant area
- We had to ask for bath towels, bath mats and blankets every day as the cleaner kept forgetting to provide these
- The shower sprays water everywhere so the bathroom becomes very wet and the shower curtain sticks to you while you are showering
- While it isn’t a long walk to Parikia, there is basically no footpath so it is dangerous (particularly at night) when walking to and from
- Power outlets should be in more convenient locations - these were all up high and we had to use chairs etc to charge our phones on
