We spent 4 lovely days on Amami island. A wonderful quiet place with amazing nature and beaches. We have been fortunate to stay at Thida moon, a simple but very cosy place. Very nice food. The room was clean and the service was very good. The staff was extremely friendly. I strongly recommend the grill at the terrace, when the weather allows. It is a but pricy, but totally worth it.

A nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only warning about this place is that foreigner may fight it slightly " too Japanese" if that makes sense. Not that that's a bad thing - Just I wanted a more Western Styled hotel. None the less, excellent beach view, great staff, a ver nice onsen and SAUNA (finally) and an outdoor pool. 4 stars!

This hotel is front of east side occian of amami. When you stay you charge occan view room. You will watch grate sun rising from offshore on the blue sea. The room furniture is well wood used. The facility was relatively small and convenient for going out to eat, taking out the car, and doing anything else. The room was cleaned nicely. It was October, a relatively quiet time, so the bath was also empty and I was able to use it comfortably. I wondered if it would be small and dangerous if it was summer vacation, but... We were able to snorkel in the ocean right in front of us and enjoy watching the tropical fish and coral. The food was also very delicious.

Spacious room. Pool in the center of the resort and just a few steps to the beach. There's also public bath/onsen that you can use.

We arrived from Tokyo at the end of a typhoon, it was touch and go if we could land or not, we were the first plane to land for some days. Understandably the hotel was in a bit of a state, ie, no electricity, swimming pool full of sand and many palm trees ripped out of the ground. Some buildings had been damaged. There was no electricity on the whole Island .The hotel restaurant had been flooded...

I came here hoping to relax. I was soothed by the sound of the waves and the bath. The staff were not overly attentive and were casually considerate, so I was able to enjoy a comfortable stay at the hotel. The breakfast was surprisingly delicious. My husband said he didn't want to eat chicken rice, so I thought I'd have to hold back, but it was available at the breakfast buffet and the chicken broth...

The inside is very clean. There's a pool and it's close to Tomori Beach. There might be a little bit of trash floating in the pool, though. There's a restaurant inside so you can eat without having to go all the way to Naze.

A resort hotel with a nostalgic feel! Perfect for us, a couple in our 50s!

The hotel is located on the seaside, with beautiful views, old hotel facilities and good service

It was old but spacious and comfortable. The sea was right in front of us, and at night we could see the starry sky, which was amazing. However, I was a little hesitant to walk barefoot.
