It was overall a surprising and enjoyable meal in a relatively small town. If you’re staying right at the hotel, it is a very good idea to just come right down.
This place still has a homey vibe. Quite importantly you don’t feel like you’re being ripped off. Everywhere would be expensive, at least here you know it’s good and it’s right downstairs.
I have to mention the goat cheese and red berry salad, it was stupendous. I loved the combination of the powerful cheese with fresh raspberries, I highly recommend it.

We went to eat at the restaurant. The food was very good, the price was reasonable. Very good service from "Daniels" (I think that's his name). If we go back we will repeat!

We enjoyed a two night stay at Hotel Sigulda. The hotel is lovely and uniquely combines a splendidly renovated old building with new construction. The breakfast was very satisfying. We also dined in the restaurant two nights and thought our dinners of venison and pasta with salmon were very tasty. The hotel was the perfect base to explore the nearby castles of the region from.

There is no Air Conditioning on any room. Our room had dirty matresses with a sweat odor coming from them. The carpet in our room was full of mites. Our third bed on our 3 people room was a folded sofa which was “hard as a rock”. Moreover, there was a lot of noise from other rooms, which kept us aesleep many time. Breakfast doesn’t have many options, not even for the kids, not many sweet options for the youth. In conclusion, I do not recommend this hotel for international travelers, the “high” rating comes from Latvian reviewers not from international reviewers. DO NOT COME.

Nothing to complain about. Good location, clean rooms. Has a SPA with pool for adults. Not all rooms have AC and fridge, which may be a letdown for some.

The staff is absolutely failing.
I already had a long back and forth phone calls and messaging with them for THREE DAYS to try to get them to GET IT RIGHT.
When we arrived - of course NOTHING was right or - as promised.
I was promised room on the first floor, since there is no lift for guests. Also rooms upstairs are too hot in the summer time.
DIDN'T get it.
I was promised upgrade to a business class room for extra 10 € - did NOT get that either.
Just as when i was calling them before - seems to be the rule, that women working at the reception are unpleasant, UNprofessional, impolite,...
The hotel has a spa/ pool, but does NOT have ANY place to dry your towels or swimwear.
Early in the morning there was suddenly a very strong and unpleasant stench from sewage pipes.
NO air conditioning. Just one, tiny and cheap plastic fan. But beds are on opposite sides of the room, so it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to have the fan blowing on both guests at the same time. One always has to suffer.
One bed had huge, ugly stains on it.
Bed sheets vere too slippery, didn't stay in place.
The bike parking is laughably pathetic and uncomfortable.

A pecial place for me and my wife. Very cosy, romantic and beautiful hotel. As one of the oldest with rich herritage and history brings the best experience. Hotel is noce with limited menu, however all the dishes are superb.

We booked a room for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The restaurant serves very good food. Breakfast is excellent. Lot of nice things to do in the environment.

Stayed for 4 nights. Rooms are very basic, lacking in room safe (can be requested from reception) coat hooks, for a country that has is share of cold/snowy weather you would think this quite high up on things you would need. It was very clean and well maintained with good breakfast.

Beautiful hotel. Awesome breakfast. Dinner is delicious. But the Hotel advertises with spa and sauna. Yet, they forget to mention that it costs something. The leaflet etc just says sauna and pool. No note in the foyer. You can just walk in and use it. And then suddenly they decide to tell you they charge €59 for it?! And the next day they say it's 15€?! A pool is normally included in the price... Unfriendly staff in the spa area too!
