Vila Roz in Trebujeni

Vila Roz is an absolute gem with a beautiful garden and orchard down to the river, and Liuba is the best and kindest host one could wish for. She served lovely breakfasts and dinners for us. Booking at the website was tricky for me, but messaging on WhatsApp in English worked well.

We had a great time enjoying a peaceful evening meal at Vila Roz. You need to bring your group here! You will not regret it! This is our second time here, and the owner does a wonderful job of providing delicious, authentic Moldovan cuisine in a family style setting.

Fantastic hostess in this beautiful place! I would go back just to visit Doamna Liuba. She served us home cooked meals made from fresh homegrown greens. Besides having all the basics, what it promises and clean comfortable rooms, Vila roz has the most beautiful garden full of roses and little corners to hang out and read a book, playground for children and outdoor facilities for dinners even for big groups. The walk to the monestry is easy from the house, and you do not have to go through the villlage before reaching the trail. All in all big recommendation from here! if not to visit the tourist sites, then just to have a small break and vacation in the beautiful garden.

We had a great stay! The spacious garden is Perfect for relaxing and playing with children. The rooms are clean and the nighs are quiet. We took a Nice walk to the Cave Church directly from the house. The food is deliscious and er we were served a lot of it for every meal. The host is very kind and helpful. I hope to return.

Great place - beautiful garden, excellent food, very kind and nice host. Close to everything to see in Orhul, but away from the most touristy streets. We stayed as a big family in the end of March - rooms were tidy and clean, and the dining room was very cozy.

I loved my four-night stay at this extremely pretty guesthouse. Liuba is a lovely lady who takes real pride in running it and the first thing you notice is the beautiful garden which is a treat to spend time in, with several places to sit. The room was very nice with good wifi and the village is very quiet, so I slept well every night. Another big selling point is the food. As well as the breakfasts, I had the optional dinner every evening: really tasty traditional food with wine. There's plenty to see in the area: the ridgetop monastery and cave monastery in Butuceni (40 minutes' walk) with gorgeous views, or in the other direction - west from the Vila - there's a lovely walk through the neighbouring village of Old Orhei following the river as it winds its way north, with superb riverside scenery and kingfishers. This place is definitely worth a visit on any trip to Moldova. My advice: book directly through the Vila's own website, you'll pay a lot less that way. The Vila can arrange a taxi from/to Chișinău if you need it (I guess it would be an hour's drive from the city centre), but you can also get there by rutieră (minibus) from Chișinău bus station, they go roughly every 2 hours from morning to early evening and the buses to Butuceni/Trebujeni can stop at the Vila if you ask the driver. The minibus journey from the Vila to the bus station took me about 1.25 hours. You can put a suitcase in the back.

Vila Roz has left the best impressions! Very hospitable hosts, delicious Moldova national dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wines list, very tasty homemade food like at grandma. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Highly recommended - a wonderful place with an authentic Moldavian experience. The hostess is kind and welcoming. She couldn’t speak English but translated using Google.

We ordered dinner, which was all homemade. The accommodations are basic, but it was the best part of our time in Moldavia. We also took the dog for a few walks. Thank you!!!

A great place to stay in Trbujeni village. Very quite, by a small river with the garden full of roses (pity we visited in winter so couldn't see them flourishing) We had the place to park our car. The hostess was very welcoming, sweet, friendly and understanding, room was warm, bathroom was clean and we had hot water. On dinner they prepared for us very tasty traditional moldovan food with amazing moldovan wine. The best sleep 😴 on our trip. The breakfast was 👍😊 yummy 😋 and we were offered to use bicycles and binoculars to see local caves and viewpoints in Orhei Vechi. We had a great time! ✌️

Very nice place. Luiba was a excellent hostess and a good Cook. We had a clean room and a true moldovan experience. The area is nice for hikes. Easy routes.
