Reviews
Currently renovated, clean rooms, very kind and helpful staff and the best food of the city at it's restaurant!
First choice visiting Pljevlja!!!
The reception doesn't look organized probably due to the renovations, but the receptionist was pleasant to talk with.
I got a room on the second floor, so I either used the stairs or the elevator, which is a bit freaky but it works perfectly fine.
The room itself was very clean and nice, it was basically brand new with a cozy bead.
The pillows however are pretty large so if you like a thinner pillow you wont like it.
My first issue happened to be that I had no hot water in the shower, it was mildly warm which was AWFUL for cold winter time, it was reported and we were told it should be working after someone went to our room to check on it, however the water was still barely warm.
Second issue is that there is nothing to hang your towels on, so they will be staying on the counter or drying in the hallway.
Third issue is loud music being played for celebrations that are held in the restaurant of the hotel, the bass basically shakes your lungs while youre in bed, and the music playins almost until midnight. (This happened 2 evenings during my 3 day stay)
Not an issue but a tip: Bring your own hairdryer as the one provided is very weak
For breakfast you will get a coupon from the receptionist, and the breakfast was actually pretty good so no complaints there.
Last note: Not all rooms have the problem with warm water, but that is a major issue even in a 1 star hotel, not a 3 star one. Considering we received no type of discount or room change for showering with cold water during our stay was rather disappointing.
But there were some negative sides. For example, the hair dryer in the bathrooms are so weak they literally breathe air instead of blowing properly. I recommend brining your own unless you want to spend 3 business days drying your hair. There are literally no hooks for towels. So I either had to leave it on the counter or use a hanger to dry them. And there was also no hot water in the shower which is my biggest remark. There is warm water in general and my brother had hot water in his room. But mine didn’t and I think the problem was the that the shower knobs didn’t work properly and you couldn’t rotate them anywhere in any direction and change the temperature. It was only mild-cold water all the time so i had to shower in my brother’s room. I complained and told them about the problem and the plumber “took care of it” but no, he didn’t. Nothing changed and I still had no hot water in my overpriced room. In the end I even had to pay the full price of the stay. And to be honest, the stay is more than expensive (60€ per night) for this small town and for not having the very basic thing - hot water.
Honestly, all in all, Pljevlja is a small town. There are other options and places to stay and everything is close. You don’t want to end up in a cold shower (especially not in cold November days like I did).
Btw the photos were taken just before I left.
