This is a very upmarket hotel set in beautiful grounds and the whole establishment has been given much attention to detail. The result is the perfect venue for a holiday or a business meeting. However, there were a couple of issues on the last day of the three that had been booked. On our return from a day out we found our room key was disabled and the room itself incompletely serviced. Location is exceptional. Although the hotel building itself is nothing to write home about, it's bang in the centre of a stunningly beautiful little town. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.

We have experienced our weekend stay as very pleasant, excellent breakfast and dinner. The bed pillow a bit on the thick side.

Cosiness and service are of paramount importance. Had a great time with our "oldies".

Room was quite nice and good value for money (including coffee / tea amenities); the 3 course surprise dinner at the hotel was a disgrace: quality of all 3 dishes was way under par, as well as the “bonbon” with the coffee.

The location is fantastic! If you like old-timey Dutch/Germanic medieval architecture then this hotel is just 15 minutes walk away from the city centre. The hotel is old, however and it shows in every little thing. That means: Noisy rooms, odd layouts and stinky hallways. Thankfully, they serve locally brewed beer here which makes up for it. Great location, atmosphere and building. Beautiful viewpoints around hotel and on walking distance of pitoresk village center. Rooms a bit outdated, but everything functions and is clean.

The room was quite basic and old fashioned but we didn't expect any more for the cheap price. There was nothing wrong with the room and it seemed clean. Breakfast buffet had all the (in the Netherlands) standard ingredients, enough variety (only thing I missed was peanut butter and maybe bananas). The staff was very friendly.

It was a great stay! Very nice location, great service and clean room. I recommend it and i would stay there a next time. I loved it.
