Large room, great staff, restaurant looked nice but we didn't have time to test it!

We had a wonderful stay at Comfort Flames! We stayed for 10 days while visiting family in Whangarei and it was the perfect oasis. The convenience of the room service was unmatched, especially as I am pregnant and have to eat first thing in the morning to not get sick. Raewyn was so hospitable and kind, as were the rest of the staff. The view from our room was beautiful and the aircon made it so comfortable...

We stay in an executive room during summer every year, as we have friends living in the area. Although a little dated now, it’s always clean and the service is consistently high. Comfortable bed and air conditioning ensures a great sleep.

The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and keen to help you with any request . We had room sevice of the beef burger and chips , not to be missed as it was delicious. Then for breakfast we couldnt resist the cakes which definitely are delicious!It was great to have an area to wash my clothes . Definitely recommended thos place . .

Holly at the desk and everywhere it seemed did a great job settling me in. Very efficient and friendly. The room was great with a nice view. I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood chowder for dinner.

Lovely clean room Very spacious

Great location, centre of city, rooms well appointed, quest are our preferred accommodation when travelling, and it was up to our usual expectations from a quest. Only comment he had is the car parking underneath is a bit tight. But overall a good stay.

The Quest is in a great location and the rooms spacious and have great facilities. The are extremely helpful and we always our stay.

A decent motel for an overnight stay. Friendly welcome, simple, clean, air-conditioned room – perfect for a night. The guests are respectful of the rules, namely keeping noise to a minimum after 10 pm. A 10-minute walk to the nearest shops.

This was an excellent place to stay, and an excellent value. Easy parking, walkable to restaurants, and very friendly and efficient check in. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The location is super convenient. McDonald is the next door, and Pizza hut, KFC, and other restaurants are also a stone drop distance. New World and Woolworth are just behind. Super amazing location. The room is not very clean. The soundproof is not very good. So better be quiet. The boss is a warm, friendly couple.

Functional room, a bit dated, but comfortable enough. Parking space for your room is ideal for travellers. Super flexible check in for my late arrival which I appreciated.

Three nights at the Cypress Court motel. The motel is not in city center. We had about 20/25 minutes walk to the river bank (Whangarei Town Basin) where there is a Hundertwasser museum, bars and restaurants. This place is a classic motel in the best sense of the expression. It's kept spotlessly clean and modern by the hardworking couple that runs it, it's in a convenient location but not right downtown, and the housekeeping units are big enough for a family but cozy for a couple. They have complete kitchens for self catering and there is a supermarket about 100 meters away. And there's a barbeque and...

This is an older style motel but perfectly comfortable for a night's stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful as we arrived later than planned. We had a studio apartment with a small bathroom. There are two supermarkets almost next door so we got basic groceries and cooked dinner in the kitchen. The location was good to visit the falls, kauri tree walk, harbour and town.

Comfortable and welcoming with friendly managers and very conveniently located three doors down from Pak n Save and near but not in the CBD. This motel is spacious, with tidy and functional interiors, is very affordable and I would stay here again by preference. If you are looking for a motel with attention to making you feel at home and close to everything in Whangarei, this is the one.

The Kensington is a great motel: spotlessly clean, personable staff, great location, quiet and well run. Highly recommended.

The location is great - within walking distance of private medical facilities, restaurants and other eateries. There are also hot plates in the rooms. This is an older motel but spotlessly clean, run by very helpful and hospitable people and a comfortable place to be.
