We stayed for the first time at this cozy hotel... we really liked it.. we often pass by and now we will know.. and the price is reasonable.

The view of the temple is beautiful. The national cuisine was a delight: delicious and filling. The Kalmyk tea and piping-hot bortsok will forever be in our hearts. We wish you many grateful visitors and prosperity.

Overall, it was a decent little hotel. But our room was very small, a mere closet. Luckily, it was only for one night. And the biggest problem: the overwhelming smell of sewage and mold. We had to spray deodorant on it just to get in. It was also not very pleasant to step into the shower with bare feet.

An excellent hotel, I'm giving it a 4 because of the courtyard; apparently there was construction going on. Hot water was also a problem – most likely the water heater was small, or maybe they just turned it on when we checked in. Overall, it's a decent place for Elista, and if you don't get too negative, everything is fine. If we ever go south, we'll stop by again.

I was blown away by the cleanliness of the room, the room itself with a small terrace, quite enough for two, the room has a refrigerator, air conditioning (they work very quietly and well), a kettle, a hair dryer, a large TV. The hotel is located next to the Golden Gate and the Seven Days Pagoda, 20 minutes at a brisk pace to the Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni. There is parking in the courtyard of the building, it costs an additional 200 rubles per day. We went to eat and try Kalmyk cuisine at the Uralan restaurant, which is also located near the hotel. I always stay with children, they take me to the room, check me in, and then you can come up with documents and pay. Breakfasts are included, buffet. I especially remember the WATER in Marco Polo. It is clean, drinkable and... from the tap. It is very relevant for Kalmykia. However, the whole hotel is clean. The heating was turned on already in September. It was even hot at times. There is a museum and a stage area.

But there is a problem - in the room on the 2nd floor (closest to the high-rise building, it seems # 7) there is a strong smell of tobacco in the toilet. Constantly. Good location for transit travelers. The administrator answers all questions, can advise where to eat deliciously, what to see in the city. The hotel is quite itself. I agree with other reviews about the bad Shumkov. The rest is fine. There are no breakfasts, but there are 3 dining rooms nearby 24/7, so I did not experience any problems.
