Svet Hotel in St. Petersburg

September 12-14, 2025, Royal Thai Consulate Cup. We spent a long time deciding on accommodation, with apartments either too expensive or too far from FOK Gazprom. In the end, we chose Svet, which is not significantly more expensive. The connection is very convenient: the first stop from Grazhdansky Prospekt metro station, regular tram 100 to the venue, shops, and card payment on Ostrovok. I have some comments about the room, but I guess it depends on the service level/price, but in any case, it's more peaceful than renting an apartment for cash and only 3,000 rubles cheaper. Kettle, fridge, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV (though the programs are online and they just hang after 3 minutes of watching - but we didn't come for TV, so it doesn't matter, but the image settings are locked, and the screen is big and bright, it's hard on the eyes, it's inconvenient to watch the news or a movie before going to bed, and during the day it was as if we were outside, but in general we didn't come to watch TV, so as soon as we arrived, we took a shower, tea and went to bed,) in general, it was like home, quiet and calm, even boring. On the 6th floor, you can hear the street, but it's not annoying, but creates a feeling of life and calms, as if something is somewhere, and the room is quiet and cozy. I also liked the ice cream / berry cake cafe in the hotel, the price was a pleasant surprise (900 rubles for two scoops of ice cream in a crystal vase and cakes, they win in frequency of taste, price and restaurant service than in a burping place like Burger King ((

It's a very beautiful hotel, and we got a very spacious room. 🙂
The food there is delicious; we had breakfast in the Selena room.
We came there for a competition and stayed at this hotel. It's really cool, I hope we get to go back.
The location is a bit awkward because of the old challenges nearby, but otherwise, everything is really cool.
