Botovo Tourist base

My acquaintance with the picturesque outskirts of Seliger began from the moment when a rucksack, shabby from a long journey, flopped on the bed of my temporary monastery. The monastery was a cozy house made of logs overlooking the lake, with its own terrace and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. All buildings, landscape design, everything that catches your eye miraculously merges with the local nature. Everything harmonizes and complements each other ... It makes one whole, which gives this place a special charm!
Getting to know the owners gave me a special joy of communication. Warmth, genuine hospitality and care for the guests, which was felt during the entire stay in Botovo.
Cleanliness and order, delicious home cooking, friendly staff. Although "staff" is not quite the definition that can be used to characterize people who help to make a place comfortable to be. The feeling that this is one friendly family. Smiles, positive, instant response to certain requests.
Beautiful landscapes, birdsong and the sun overhead pulled me out of the hectic pace of our time, plunging me into an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility!

The staff is very responsive. You can ask to buy something in the store, to help re-equip the fishing rod, smoke fish etc.

The food was excellent. I liked it - a lot. You could ask for seconds, if that)

The base is located on the shore of lake Seliger. Well fishing sucked me in entirely. A boat you can rent a fishing rod. Obnovilsya fish)))

Went to Ostashkov swept by ship to the monastery and back. In General, in terms of sightseeing and attractions it is better to prepare in advance)

Overall the stay very much. Go fishing, catch up on sleep, otelis) Wife was a little boring - she loves all sorts of tours, ruins, and museums)

Not bad. I usually write negative reviews. But there is nothing to complain about. The area is clean and well appointed. The rooms are just as clean and tidy. There is Wi-Fi, in theory this is not so important, but the connection there is frankly bad, so Wi-Fi helped out. 6 there are bicycles, fishing rods, barbecues at the base. Parking. There are no complaints about the database itself. Pernosal is responsive.

Of the minuses. Summed up the weather. Out of 2 days (alas, at work I was able to escape for only 2 days), it rained for 1 day, however, by the evening the sun came out. 2nd minus. There are no roads in this area. The road to the base is a dirt road. After a good rain, it erodes. It's good that the four-wheel drive, slightly shaken and all. If your drive is not full and it will rain for several days, I'm afraid this will become a problem. The paved roads in these places are just awful. The suspension is very easy to kill. Also, be careful - there are enough animals on the roads. I personally saw a huge boar myself this morning. At a good speed, a meeting between a car and a wild boar will be fatal for the car. Gas stations are extremely rare. Especially if your car has an appetite like mine - 20 liters per 100 km, then look for refueling in advance. It seems that Surgutneftegaz is not good. I searched for a full tank after reaching Moscow - no problem.
Roads to many attractions are just dead dirt roads. In the rainy season, I think it would be rash to meddle.
Megaphone almost never catches.

In short, if there is 5-6tr per room per day, the lack of roads, communications and gas stations does not scare me, then I recommend this base for breath, because there is everything a tourist needs.
