Voznesenskaya hotel located in the heart of the city of Uglich – one of the oldest cities of Russia, near the Volga river and Uglich Kremlin ensemble – famous historical monuments. The hotel is named after the now-defunct Church of the ascension, built in the XVIII century. It offers a quiet vacation in a location with magnificent panoramic views.

The hotel is well located, close to all iconic places. The room is good. The only drawback is that many of the rooms overlook the winter garden. That is, not outside, but indoors. Because of this, the room is stuffy in hot weather. There are no air conditioners. But it gets cooler in the evening. But you still have to sleep with the windows open. And therefore, everything that happens in the rooms becomes the property of all people whose windows overlook the winter garden. At night I woke up from snoring somewhere in the neighboring rooms, it feels like someone is snoring on the next bed. Audibility is the main problem of the hotel. Breakfast is decent and enough for an adult. The staff are friendly.

I liked the hotel. The location is convenient. The number was very good. The breakfasts are very decent. For this money, I expected it to be much worse. The lack of air conditioning in the room did not affect the level of comfort, since there was no particular heat. The downside is the sound insulation of electrical outlets: if a phone charger is plugged into the outlet in the next room, then it is too well heard. And the problems with payment by card "strained" a little.

Rooms requiring cosmetic repairs, no air conditioning, relatively clean. Showers are partially broken. It is stuffy in the rooms with windows overlooking the courtyard-winter garden. Breakfast is modest, choice of food is minimal. Expensive laundry services, however, underwear and socks are not accepted for washing. You have to do your own laundry in the rooms. There is a barbecue in the yard, but there are no gazebos and tables. In general, I did not like it.

A beautiful place in the very center of the city. Rooms are good. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is good. But the lack of air conditioning in the room spoiled the whole experience of the hotel.
