Madrid (Spanish Madrid [maˈðɾið]) is the capital and largest city of Spain, as well as the administrative center of the homonymous province and Autonomous community. The municipality is a part of the district (Comarca) area Metropolitana. Major economic, political and cultural center of the country. The population was 3,273 million inhabitants (2010).
